Meanwhile ... back on the other side of town. "Bark The Park" attracted 1,122 dogs to Cellular Field to watch the White Sox beat Cleveland. They set the Guinness World Record for the most number of dogs at a sporting event. well my brother and SIL (you met her at last years playoff game)have tix, so my DS and I are pretty sure we are going to shoot for our lucky table at SC. Not 100% sure yet but hoping that is the plan. I know SRO is available but DS wants to get certain shots from outside etc. Always have to account for those Brewers taking the game, and the STL game will end so late that I know we can't stick around for that result. DS wants to get pic's of it all. Last year was a little different with the Wildcard win ~ we have the "we already know" factor now, but a well deserved celebration is at hand and the fans are going to enjoy (each one, I hope )

Yay! I just got home and am unwinding from the road with a brandy. It was a good game even though we lost. My friend had a great time, even though he was teased quite a bit. I'm very glad that the Cards lost so we clinched tonight anyway. I wonder if the players celebrated at all. It's not the same unless we're singing "Go Cubs Go".

Glad you guys still had fun and your friend endured. I'm sure some players did in their own way..today's game will be interesting and I am looking forward to seeing Almora Jr., Kawasaki and other non-starters who are fighting to be on the roster and gonna want that W for sure. When Heyward hit the double to drive Zobie in I thought we had it, the crowd was amazing to hear (think I heard it here at home , lol) home field advantage magic number # is 10, 16 regular games left, and 22 days until Playoff game #1 Check out the AL Wild Card race...it's a battle! Our guys will get that fire going again too. Been in first place all year except for a few days I think..box #1 checked off, on to goal #2!

OK, looking at the standings, the Cubs have 12 games on the Dodgers and 7 on the Nats but they haven't played today. Let's give them both a win so tomorrow, Cubs are 94-53, Nats 88-59 and the Dodgers, 83-64. With 15 games left, the Nats and Dodgers would basically have to win out to get the best record in the NL while the Cubs would have to go on a huge losing streak. I believe that if the Cubs win this home stand (Brewers, Reds, Cardinals) then they will have home field sewn up. I am SO glad Miggy hit the homer, losing 2 to the Brewers would have been a major downer. It is going to be fun to watch Joe manage these next two weeks, giving all the starters rest but not too much and letting some of the bench players get playing time.

we a;most went to that game but decided on Tuesday (which was a better outcome than Sat., lol) ..You know if I saw Zobie on his bike (especially a Cruiser making it even cooler) I probably wouldn't have believed it was really him BECAUSE he was in uniform, lol. On the flip side I did see Carl Edward's Jr. on his bike ~street clothes~ over Labor Day weekend!
Just 2 more W's to clinch home field and 3 to go until 100 W's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been excited since last season but seeing even more bats heat up is huge. Miggy hot again and Heyward got his mojo back..even Cog's contributing. Joe is going to have some brutally tough decisions for the 25 man roster. Luckily he gets to tweak it each series...but the 7 gamers obv will need more pitching on it so still rough. What a problem to have though! Let's crush STL this weekend!

I saw that on FB. I'm afraid I didn't like it ... I think because it was advertized as a "hype" video and it was unbearably long and slow.

Yes, I listened to that one too. It was better but still too slow IMO.

FWIW, I like both songs ... just not as the background for a hype video.
