Happy birthdat Leigh!!

Wedlcome home Slo!! How'd you enjoy the verandah?

I guess I better pack some dramamine afterall!

Actually, if you go down to the medical office, they have a large bin of it on the wall for free. If you get sick, get outside into the fresh air. It helps!

:cool1: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEIGH!!!!:cool1:
Ratboy...(there has to be a *story* with that screen name!) Welcome to the thread!

I'll just say it has nothing to do with Disney, and it was a friendly nickname I was given a while ago. Maybe some day I'll share the story?!:rolleyes1

you got bit on the butt by a rat when you were a boy.........

wow

Evening all.
Very busy day today at work. Lots of babies popping out all over!!!!
On that note:
:bday: party: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEIGH
Slo, you are one busy girl. All unpacked and suitcases AWAY!!!:scared1: Good job!!! I always find it depressing to put the suitcases away. Then you know the trip is really over.
Spent today thinking how great this day was in 2004. Our first trip to WDW with the kids and a MNSSHP to boot. That was a great memory!!!
Well, better run. I am pooped after today.
I have my first Mammogram tomorrow and not looking forward to that at all.:sad2: Hopefully it will be a normal baseline and no surprises.
Night all.

Thanks for the continued welcome homes everyone!!! :goodvibes

Kevin got all our pictures on 4 CD's - yes you read me right - 4 :teeth:
We took over 1000 pictures   I got a photo album that holds only 200 - so it won't be easy narrowing it down:rolleyes: When I get these pictures on the computer, is when I"ll start my TR :thumbsup2

piglet - I had an MRI done on my neck, and that was my favorite one. No caustrophia here - I almost fell asleep inside that tube:)
*I can't remember how you hurt your knee - did you do it at Yankee Candle?

Sam - I actually took Bonine for my seasickness. I read on the Cruise board that it was better than Dramamine (sp?) because it causes less drowsiness (it says that on the box too). I took one before dinner, and then I took one before bed - it really did help!!!! I wish I took one before I had my head in a garbage can to prevent the sickness, but I didn't think I would get sick - now I know for the next time I sail - when the boat starts moving, I start popping pills;)
*Kevin and Katie never got sick, but Stephanie didn't feel well during The Pirate Party:sad2: Our Pediatrician told me to take Benadryl incase she gets seasick to make her to go to sleep and sleep it off (there's no seasick mediciane to give children). I gave that to her before bed, and she was great the next day (which my sick day).
*I bet Megan will like the kids clubs - there's so much to do there. My kids demanded to go there, and didn't want to be with us. I finally forced Stephanie do stay with us, because I knew she would like the show we were going to, and she did:thumbsup2 There was one time I went to pick up Stephanie at 11pm, and she begged me to come back later. I agreeded and picked her up at 11:45pm (and she still wasn't ready to go:rolleyes: )

Mac - Doesn't unpacking stink!!!!!!:guilty:

Leigh -

Leigh!!!!
I hope you had a great day yesterday!!!!!! :goodvibes
*Did I read correctly that you saw Jiminy Cricket!!!!:yay:
Thanks for waiting for me to come home to write about that!!!

Rose & Donna - :wave2:

Crissup - We enjoyed our verandah very much :goodvibes We took alot of great pictures from there:thumbsup2 The door was very confusing though, and it didn't lock easily, so I had to really watch the kids to make sure they didn't got out alone.

Ratboy - You have to tell that story - I'm dying to hear it!!!

Tiggerrnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn - good luck with your mammorgram today :wizard: I'm sure everything will come out fine

It's now time for me to go get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!

Hey Slo:

That's weird about the no seasickness pills for kids. I got Megan Bonine for Kids (just in case) and it is for kids 6 and over?? They are raspberry flavored chewables. Given that there's a tropical storm out there right now, I figured I'd better pick some up, so I got these yesterday. The Benadryl would be fine, but then she'd sleep through so much of her day, which I suppose is preferable to being up and sick, but if that boat starts rocking, I'm heading for the Bonine.

Good news for all you Moms out there with daughters who were dying to see Hannah Montana! There will be a Disney Digital 3D movie out in February that will basically be a live performance from her concert tour. I think it's a wonderful thing to do for all of us who could not afford $1,000 per ticket! YIKES! So, now, all we have to do is wait for February. Megan is already excited. :cheer2:

Well, I gotta run and go do some work! Take care everyone!

Sam

Where did you get that at?
Before I asked my Pediatrician about seasick pills, I asked my Walgreens pharmasicts (sp?) and he said there was nothing. Then my Pediatrician confirmed that, and then told me about the Benadryl. I only gave the Benadryl to Stephanie before bed when she was feeling whoozy - it did the trick, she went right to sleep:thumbsup2

Are you doing the Eastern or the Western?
What boat are you on?
You told me all this once before, but I forgot:confused:

I bet you are getting excited!!!
Oh, and I wanted to tell you, that dress for Megan that other DISers told you is to casual, will be just fine for semi-formal night. I saw many children not that dressed up at all - especially for those at the early dinner seating. Speaking of which, what seating do you have?

/
Slo ~ Yes, I did hurt it at work. That is causing a mess right now because the insurance needs to approve the MRI before the office will even let me make an appointment.

So, I need to get stuff for Lauren's class party tomorrow, as well as the last things for the kids costumes. kevin will be a "vampire dog", Nathan is going to be a "mime" and Lauren will be a "pink poodle."

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. :goodvibes I had gone out to eat with my parents last week. They're out of town now. My boss got me a slice of Mrs. Field's cookie cake with buttercream icing (I love buttercream!) and some Nibbler cookies in a Pooh bucket to share. And between that and Halloween candy I still managed to lose .4 lb this week for Weight Watchers, so I'm down .8 lb overall. Not great, but at least I'm going in the right direction now. The best thing for yesterday, though, was that I won our department's football pool for the week! Thank you Green Bay for winning! So I'll get around $50. And I'm leading the cumulative pool by 21 points! I was talking to one guy yesterday and he was saying that he spends so much time on it, looking at injuries and stuff, and I was like, I don't even know who's on the teams! :rotfl: He said that that irks him. ;) :rotfl2: Really, I'm mainly going off the teams' records.

*Did I read correctly that you saw Jiminy Cricket!!!!:yay:
Thanks for waiting for me to come home to write about that!!!

Yes, I saw him at MK, totally by accident! I need to get to writing that part, but I don't have time right now. I need to make time! Have you ever found him?

ETA: This was my 1,000th post! I forgot!

Ratboy - You have to tell that story - I'm dying to hear it!!!

Ok, IF I make it on to the Mom's Panel, I promise to tell the story, otherwise it stays in the vault.

I just did my final round interview, and hope hope hope to be able to help represent the mid-west (and Dads! :thumbsup2 )on the panel.

I must admit, the story about RatBoy isn't THAT interesting, but at least I'll offer that as a token sacrifice to the forum, in exchange for getting selected!:rotfl:

I'll just say it has nothing to do with Disney, and it was a friendly nickname I was given a while ago. Maybe some day I'll share the story?!:rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :lmao: And here I was wondering if you were my DH in disquise or something because he has your name and I could *sooo* see him using a username of Ratboy but that's because he doesn't like Disney and does the running joke about going to see a 6 foot rat! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Except I doubt he could find this board if he wanted to and he would run screaming the other direction. He already does the plug ears & go la la la I can't hear you when I even remotely mention Disney (not really but I can see he's THINKING it!).

Happy Belated birthday Leigh.

I have to finish DD's costume today and I've been totally ignoring it. OOPS! It's basically done except the hem & having to add a bit of material to some of the sides because I ignored part of the directions. It's OK, it will get done before tomorrow & I'll have to take pictures. She doesn't wear it to school anyway, so technically I have all day tomorrow too. Amazingly enough, we have no plans for tonight once I pick up DS-10 from after school band practice, so I figure I'll get it done then. Everyone else is done except something for me. I have my orange "Official Trick-or-Treat Chaperone" shirt I've had since DD was little and she hates it. She keeps telling me I have to get a "real" costume -- she doesn't even care what it would be just as long as it's something besides that sweatshirt. She's out of luck this year...ran out of time...sweatshirt it is. :rotfl:

we did not get any trick or treaters on sunday.

so guess who has to eat all that candy.........

the day was not bad and not too cold but still no one showed up at our doorsteps.

Oddly enough, Megan didn't really like that dress anyway and we got two other dresses for both formal/semi formal night. One was from Disney store, but the other was purchased on eBay. Gorgeous red flower girl dress!

We are doing Western and I got the Bonine for Kids at CVS. Sometimes, pharmacists, especially those assistants, aren't too up on their stuff. One lady told me once that Triaminic stopped making a certain cold medicine, but they didn't. I called Triaminic direct and they said No Way. We are on the Magic Western and we have early dining. Megan could never wait til 8:00 or 8:30 to eat dinner, that's goofy!

As long as the Benadryl worked, that's all that matters, but if you ever cruise again, you know there's something out there for kids too!

The only time I have seen Jiminy is in a parade - never for a meet and greet:guilty: :sad1: Do have a picture with him? I'm so jealous!!!:)
And...congrats on your 1000th post!!!!:cheer2:

Those costumes sound great!!!:thumbsup2
Stephanie is Elizabeth Swamm, and Katie is Belle.
I have a some pictures of Stephanie dressed up as Elizabeth with Captain Jackpirate: I'll post them sometime soon

Thanks for letting me know where you got that.
If you want some tips for the cruise on what to do, and what to avoid, let me know and I'll be happy to give you some. :)

Well, it's finally 7pm and I can go home to a nice yummy hot dog
That's all Kevin felt like cooking tonight - at least it's something:rolleyes:

Have a good night everyone!!

it's one of those evenings that i fixed 4 different meals for 4 different males in this house.
#1....steak on the grill, baked potatoe
#2....grilled salmon and green bean casserole
#3....mac and cheese with hot dogs in it, then fruit salad
#4....left over ribs and baked potatoe.....

this happens every once in awhile. everyone is home for dinner and wants a different meal.

i'm doing coffee........i'm sick of food from spending so much time in the kitchen fixing the meals.

Hi Chicago Group !!!! How often do you all meet and where do you usually meet ??? Do you normally get a decent sized group ???

When is your next meet planned ???

We live in St. Louis, however I am from Chi Town and we get up there quite a bit visiting relatives, etc ...

It's been a while since our last "meet". Usually it at least once a year.

Mac you are so good to your family. 4 different meals and none culvers? You sick?;)

Slo Alex wanted hotdogs tonight. I had to disappoint the boy and make brat's on the grill.

Leigh sorry I missed your birthday
