Quick fly-by What a beautiful weekend. Hopefully everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Donna I hope Mark's sister is doing well after her surgery.

Slo Yes we are very excited. I have everything out waiting to be put in the suitcase. Still to early. I spent the whole morning yesterday cleaning so all I will have to do on saturday is a quick clean then try to sleep. Yeh right. We get picked up at 4:00 am, Starbuck's better have coffee waiting for me.

Hopefully Bunchkin Is having good weather It's hard to tell from the weather sites.

Slo I forgot is this your first cruise with the kids? 30 days yeh:woohoo:

Roseprincess, I am actually considering checking out temp agencies myself. Part of my is thinking, well I could take an occasional week off to head to WDW, LOL.

Slo - :wave2:

Another nice day here! I am so happy to be enjoying this lovely midwest weather. Back in New England, once the kids headed back to school (right after Labor Day) it was long jeans and jackets till October when winter coats, hats and mittens were madatory. I am still amazed to see kids trick or treating here with their costumes and sweater underneath! Our kids always had winter gear on, and more than once I had to pull them on a sled! Chicago is my kind of town...:thumbsup2

CarolAnnC- Hope all goes well with the temp agency/job hunting :thumbsup2

*Forgot to mention, my DH's job is temp to permanent. So some time in the next few weeks he will be offered his new job to go permanent.

Geffric- Sorry to hear about the new manager you work with :sad2:
Hope things get better for you :wizard:

Paint- Glad to hear you are feeling better :thumbsup2
Best wishes on your new job

Gotta run. Have a good evening everyone.

Becky - How was the jewelry party??
**How did everything go at your DD's doctor? What did they say about her lingering cough?
**I just answered my own question :) Kevin uses an inhaler too - I hope this helps her :wizard:

The jewelry party was fun. I wasn't sure what I was in for as if it was expensive jewelry or ??? because I had never heard of them before & really I'm not much of a jewelry person. I ended up winning a necklace & was going to give it to DD, so I let her choose and then SHE ended up winning the 2nd choice one, so we got both of them. :lmao: I ended up booking a party though -- mostly because DD really wanted the necklace they were offering as the incentive to book plus SHE wants a bunch of jewelry (don't ever tell a teenager to go through a catalog & make a wish list!!! That's what the consultant told her to do before our party. She didn't hold back.) :lmao: She is going to invite a bunch of her friends and their moms along with some people I know. One of her friends were there and those 2 girls had so much fun trying on the jewelry and being fashion advice to each other, etc... She's going to have a couple of them sleep-over. EEK!!! :scared1: The worst part is though she *really, really, really, really* wanted a ring and I ended up sneaking it since it was cash & carry if the consultant had it or you could order out of the catalog if she didn't. I managed to finagle the ring without DD noticing. I was planning to give it to her for Christmas. As far as DD knows, I only bought myself a bracelet. So...she is insistant that she wants to get that ring free as her choice from our party, I said something about "oh we know she had it there so we don't need to put it on our list" DD told me "No, it was gone at the end of the party, I looked, I had my friend look, it was NOT there". I was hoping she wouldn't notice it had disappeared. So, I just played dumb as she had moved it around the ring tray at various times but had always found it again. Unfortunately, I have a feeling I may just *have* to end up giving her the ring before Christmas or we will end up with 2 of them! I know she's going to insist on getting that ring.

The good news with the cough though is she had gymnastics Saturday and she said she could breathe a LOT better so now everything is working. Then she went and turned her ankle on beam. :rotfl2: Luckily, it was minor but I was still called to come pick her up because she couldn't do anything on it and it was on something she has done a million times so I gave her a bit of a hard time since "if you are going to get hurt can't you at least make it a good story".

Paint Sorry your not feeling well. Is the coffee shop start with an "s"?
If you do have Kidney stones trying drinking Lemonade there is something in the lemons that helps breakdown the stones. I had them I was looking for different ways to flavor the all that water. Who knew I was actually doing something right.

Today we went out looking for some last minute things. I was in Dick's sporting looking at a new pair of Croc sandels when all the lights went out. If God didn't want me to buy those Crocs he could have just gently said heh I think you have enough shoes ;), He didn't have to turn all the lights in Bloomingdale out:rotfl2:

I'll have to remember that about Lemonade!!! My DH has gotten kidney stones twice.

That's hilarious about the lights.

only issue i have now is to pack and organize my documents.
car service picks me up at 3:45 this morning. right now i am rushing and wanted to come on and wave buh bye to all my homies here.

some one take cliff notes and let me know what happens when i get back.
i'll return late oct 8th.

i'll be thinking of all of you.
now i will go read back from thursday to catch up.

I love going to the mall - did I ever tell you guys that!!!! :teeth:
I wish I had more time to shop yesterday, because it's been a long time since we've gone to the mall. Stephanie's a shopper too, which has always been so nice :thumbsup2

The girls pictures went great - they looked beautiful!!! :cutie: :cutie:
Then we went to Olive Garden, and I ate, and ate, and ate some more (I really paid for it later with some indigestion, but it was worth it). For the never ending pasta bowl, they had a new sauce which was smoked mozzerella alfredo - and it was heavenly!!!!:cloud9:

This is premier week on all the stations :cool1:
All my shows are finally new, which is great, because I"m tired of watching reruns:rolleyes:

HERSEY - Yes, this is our first cruise with the kids ::yes:: We are starting to get excited - I can't believe we are leaving in less than a month:woohoo:
**I pack the same as you - I put it all out days ahead of time, and then put everything in a suitcase right before we leave:thumbsup2
**I also clean the house too alot before we leave - I hate coming home to a messy house.
**We are leaving super early like you too - our limo is coming at 4am :faint:
How are you getting to the airport?

CarolAnn - A sled on Halloween  that would be a real drag!!!!! Yes, Halloween around here can sometimes be really nice, and then there are other years where it can be cold or nasty. Last year was chilly by my house - I had to shove a winter coat under Katie's Cinderella dress - it wasn't easy :sad2: :rotfl:
**Contined good luck with finding a new job :wizard:

Becky - I'm glad you had fun at your jewelry party :goodvibes
**I'm sorry to hear of your DD hurting her ankle though - ouch!!!! I hope it feels better soon:wizard:

Mac - Bye Mac!!! :wave2:
I"m so sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I hope you have a wonderful vacation, and I hope you are feeling better :wizard: We'll see you back on October 8th :wave2:

Well, that's about it from me today
Have a good day today everyone!!!!

Maybe it's time to look for another job? Easier said than done. you know all about this one.. I have been thinking i should get a new job for a while but i guess I need a push.. she ( new manager) really is so stressed from the pressure above and is really putting more stress/ pressure on me.. UGGH!! But on the other hand i have survived many managers..

.

i have meniere's disease and came down with the flare up of vertigo on wednesday. worsen on thursday and started meds that night.
Hope your feeling better and have a great trip..

.

Morning from Sears tower..:surfweb: gotta work as it is the last wek of the qtr and I need to sell some software.. be back later

Morning all! Still no word form my doctor, I will call later this morning.

roseprincess ~ Glad to hear about your husband's job, must be a big relief.

macraven ~ Sorry to hear about the flare-up, hope you are still feeling better with the meds.

Becky ~ Sounds like it was a fun party. Hope you are able to surprise your daughter with the ring, and at Christmas if at all possible.

Slo ~ I have been wanting to get to Olive Garden for the pasta special, we love it there. (alas, I think our splurge next weekend for date night will be Red Lobster if they still have the shrimp deal going)

Hey Everyone! Happy Monday! (yeah right). Well, it was a gorgeous weekend that's for sure!

CarolAnn - Snow on Halloween, oh my! That's hard to imagine, but not completely unthinkable here. Let's not have it this year though okay... I'm leaving for my cruise on 11/3 and I don't want a problem getting there! YIKES! This year will be nice though because it will stay lighter an hour longer! That will help a lot!

Slo, that alfredo sauce sounds heavenly!

HERSEY! You must be getting super excited! I know I would be.

I watched some Disney shows on the Travel Channel this weekend and it made me "homesick". I'm planning a small trip down in March. Then Megan & I will hit Disneyland again in June! Then, I'm thinking maybe I can sneak in a few days at WDW again next year around the beginning of October! I really want to do a MNSSHP next year! Hopefully, they'll throw in a free dining deal next year too. It won't make me or break me though! 2008 is going to be very Disney-fied!

Well, I gotta get to work so I can earn some money to pay for all these trips! Sheesh! :rolleyes1

Good morning fellow Chicagoans!

It was very dark and cloudy for a while here, but now the sun is poking thru here and there. Won't be surprised if rain comes along, I need to check a weather forecast, lol.

Dancing with the Stars premiers tonite!! I am a great fan...

Have a great Monday all!

Just heard from my doctor. The CT showed no obvious issues and my LDL is 169. That is about all I got out of him for right now, and I need to go in to discuss the rest of my results on Wednesday morning.

Looks like we are going to get some rain today :umbrella:
That's good - we need it!!!!

geffric - Good luck with your last week of quarter :wizard: I hope it goes smooth!!

Rose - That's great news about your DH's job :cheer2:

piglet - I saw the commercial for that shrimp special last night. I told Kevin that we need to go - and he said, "why, so you can stuff yourself again?!":rotfl:
**I'm glad your CT shows no obvious issues, but I don't know what LDL is:confused:

Sam - Wow, 2008 sounds like so much fun - can I come with?!?!?! :cool1:

CarolAnn - I DVR'd Dancing With the Stars because I want to see Marie Osmond, and Wayne Newton :)

Well, I'm off and running - have a good day today!!!

Slo: You won't see Wayne Newton dance on Monday's DWTS. You'll see him, but the guys dance tonight!! 2008 should be a good year, but it's not written in stone yet! I might have to forego at least the MNSSHP trip. I'll see how things go! I thought most of the ladies were very good, except one and I won't say who, so you can watch with an open mind. :3dglasses

I keep forgetting this thread exists, but I stumbled back upon it again!

I must say that I am bummed that I totally missed the chance to see Wicked
with the group that Eeyore/Sandy mentioned. I still haven't seen it and I
don't want to go alone. ;)

Thanks for all the well wishes an pd. I started work yesterday. It was fun, but there are so many things to remember! I got to sample lots, though. Then, my first choice for a job called me. It is a small family place where I would waitress. I had given up, since they were supposed to call over a week ago. Anyway, I am going to work both places until I decide which I like. I think I will like the restaraunt more, but may work both through the holidays.
Wedding plans- I posted this on the Wedding Board, but thought some of you experts might help, too! We were planning a backyard wedding, but have not entirely ruled out a destination wedding. I know I can't afford one at WDW, but is there a nice beach type location nearby? Near Daytona or something?
Thanks!

Hey, Chicago...thank you all again for the continued prayers and good wishes for my SIL..she is home from the hosp again and again, we are waiting for test results.

I'm envious of everyone lucky enough to be taking a trip to Disney, but hope you all have MAGICAL vacations!

Has anyone started the Halloween decor thing yet? In the front part of the office where I work, it looks like Halloween threw up...honestly, I have never seen so much Halloween decoration in one <work> place. In the back part of the office, which is where I am, we have nothing...well, at least not yet. I am thinking of bringing in a few things, but will not even TRY to compete with the other side!

I enjoyed Dancing with the Stars last night, and hope to see the guys do just as well tonight!

Have a good night, all...I'm hoping Mark will take me to never ending pasta tonight...or else it's gonna be Prego Pasta, LOL...

Hi all!!!

I'm chillin out here while the girls are playing in the playroom. In a couple of minutes they need to go to bed - but they are playing so nice that I hate to disrupt them

piglet - thanks for telling me what LDL stands for :)

Sam - Kevin DVR'd Dancing With the Stars tonight - I'm looking forward to watching it. Was it Marie Osmond that wasn't that great? She's probably the oldest out of the group, so it wouldn't surprise me if she wasn't that light on her feet. I'm looking forward to watching her though because I've always been a fan of the Osmonds :)

BriarRosie - So good to see you!!!!! :wave2: Please come by more often and don't be a stranger - we would love to see you!!!!

paint - My inlaws stay on The Gulf of Mexico every September, and when we visit we always see weddings on the beaches by them, they are real close to Clearwater :sunny:

Donna - Please let us know as soon as you hear your SIL's test results - I will continue to keep her in my prayers.:wizard:
**I have some autumn decor in my store, which is a nice fall mum plant, and some pumpkins. Outside of that, I've done no decorating:sad2:

Well, I guess it's time to put the girls to bed
Have a good rest of the night everyone!!!!
