Hersey Ticker is better since I've been on the beta blockers. Feet are as usual......bad. I have nerve damage from the surgery I had. It's just something I have to deal with. Grrr!

slo We'll be leaving for the airport at around 5:30ish. Still have to finish packing my stuff and some other odds and ends, but no biggy. I'll be taking lots of pics with my new camera I got for Mother's Day!

Texasteacher Congrats to both your kids on their activities! Sound slike you'll be busy!! The bathroom sounds like it's going to be great!!
My kids have a Mickey and friends bathroom. I does take a lot of work but it's worth it!! Maybe I'll post pics of it when I get back from WDW. You should post pics of yours too!!

Hunter and I are going to the new Super Walmart up the road in a little while to get a few last minute things. Today was the grand opening.
I drove past earlier this morning on my way back from the bakery ( I was picking up some yummy treats for the house sitter!) and saw that the parking lot was TOTALLY full!!!

This is a big deal for us out here in the "boonies"!!

So, the Wal*Mart is open huh! I think I will have to go see it this weekend before it gets trashed as most Wal*Mart's ultimately do! It will be nice to have another choice in the area!

Also, my DD12 made the 7th grade volleyball team, so we have been at tons of games! She was so excited about that!!!
DS2 has started KidRock through the Huntley Park District and we have been going to that every week. He also has speech on Thursdays...not a big talker, but definitely making some great progress!

Congratulations to your DD. I played volleyball from 5th grade through 12th grade...of course back then you didn't have to try-out & well... I was a very good cheerleader on the bench for the team.

All 3 of my boys have had speech. My younger 2 still get speech, it's always on-going.

I'm kind of in a sad/anxiety mood as I sent my 10 year old off to Outdoor Ed this morning. He won't be back until Friday. I hope he survives (or DH says "I hope the school survives HIM". ). It's not too bad now but I have to go pick up my 2nd grader soon and THAT's when it will be weird in the house. This is his first big adventure away from us, so I'm quite nervous.

Of course, DD also decided this morning would be a good time to make me feel like I'm getting old. She's a bit jealous that her brother is going to Outdoor Ed because she loved it. Then she did a "Hey mom, I just realized I will be old enough to be a chaperone when DS-3 gets to 5th grade" -- Oh, let's not even go there -- a quick calculation on my part and ACK...you're RIGHT. You will be 20-21! They are 10 years apart. That wasn't even on my radar for ages. I hate when she does these things to me...at least she didn't bring up the how old she will be when he graduates scenerio again. In my head their doesn't seem like a 10 year difference here at home until she points these things out. It just doesn't go well with my ignoring reality and thinking I'm oh about 25 still myself.

The store is at 162nd & Farrel Road. Edited for a faster route. You could take Rte 6 to Cedar, turn right and travel northbound to 167th. At 167th, turn left and travel west to Farrell. Then, turn right northbound to 162nd & Farrel!

I have had a most interesting day. The school district called today and said DD has a spot at the Magnet school. We had to say today if we wanted it or not. So we took it because they offer extras like Spanish and Music. They teach via the IBO method. More interactive. DD is pretty sad about the whole thing. She loves her school. I love her school. But this is the only chance we will get at this school. If we let the spot go by, we don't get a second chance. Someone else will take the spot. Now I have to go buy uniforms and check the school supply lists yet again for any differences. I just got settled from the last crazy round of changes!!! And now I am on a PTO at one school and my children will be attending another.
I hope we did the right thing.
Well, better run. Things to do and I am tired already.

Crazy day it has been!!
Trying to get business stuff wrapped up was impossible!!
And I think I left my ATM card in the ATM machine this morning!!!!!!
Can't find it anywhere!!! I've NEVER lost it before. I'm so mad at myself!!
And the bank doesn't check until tomorrow morning to see if the machine sucked it back up. Needless to say I had to put a hold on the account.

Why does this poop always happen before we leave for vacay???

I'm thinking about hiring another employee at the store. A girl brought in an application yesterday that is going to be going to college (she's 19) for photography, but she's not doing that until next fall (she's saving her money). She knows some of the buzz words for working at the store, and has a pinch of experience of doing some things. She can read a tape measure, and is good with people I really could use another set of trained hands for when the holidays approach - so I think I'm going to take the plunge and hire her

Alright, I'm feeling left out. Who's house do I have to clean to get Boo'd around here? If y'all don't give me one, I'll just steal yours. A simple right click and a file grab is all I need!

Bunchkin, I know you won't read this until you get back, but I did the same thing with my ATM card right before a Vegas trip, and boy if there's ever a place you need an ATM card, it's VEGAS!!

Well today is my 10th Wedding anniversary and per usual, the "H" forgot. Notice there is no "D" in the DH. I never know whether to feel upset or just superior because I remembered and got him a card and a nice gift. He recently ruined his work watch, so I replaced it with a much nicer version, if I do say so myself. And, not to mention it's not like it's #11 or something obscure, it's our 10TH!! Hello!!

Arrrgh, and now I'll probably get home and have to be gracious about some last minute gift of crappy roses from Jewel that will die tomorrow. I hate being gracious when I know it was some last minute thing that was picked up with no thought involved. Oh well.

At least I bid on and won a Limited Edition Haunted Mansion (Re-Haunting) pin on eBay. It's very cute and since I can't be there for real, this is the next best thing!

I'm starting Weight Watchers again next Tuesday. I did it 4 years ago when I weight around what I do now, and lost about 14 lbs, so I'm hoping to do the same.

I'm taking tomorrow off because I have a doctor's appt. at 9am and by the time I would get downtown it just wouldn't be worth it. Usually I would just come in, but I decided to waste the day off. I haven't been needing as many as I used to. I may stop by Panera and see if I can get the 4 cheese souffle in the morning. Usually when I go they're out, but I should be early enough tomorrow!
