How's everyone doing this fine afternoon!!!!

I"m taking a little break here after eating lunch, and while waiting for Stephanie to come home from school:teacher:

I've been pretty slow lately, and I don't know if I should be happy that it's giving me a chance to get caught up:thumbsup2 , or bummed out that I'm not bringing in much income:guilty:

Sam - I'm sorry you didn't see my "Boo" post yesterday:guilty: I"ll PM you with one as soon as I'm done with this.
**I'm also sorry that your DH forgot your anniversary  10 is a big year - maybe he's waiting to surprise you later (I'm an optimist:rolleyes: ) Happy Anniversary from all of us!!!!!:grouphug:

Leigh - I have never been to Panera bread  but I want to someday. Enjoy your day off tomorrow!!!! :cool1:

TtTtTtiiigernn - Boy you got alot going on :faint: I'm tired just thinking about it!!! Good luck with everything!!! :wizard:

Later gaters!!!!

Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to stop by and say HI to thr friendliest threa around!

Hope everyone is doing well with back to school, pregnancies, illnesses, forgotten Anniversaries, new homes, engagements, birthdays, DL trips, work, planning, etc. I am jealous of the people getting ready for MNSSP trips! I love that party!!! We are trying the MVMCP this time but I am still feeling sad about not being there in October.

I am sorry I haven't kept up on this thread (reading posts that is). I do think about you guys all the time! You are all super sweet!
Take care!
Debbie

Oh you Chicagoland DIS'ers and your eternal optimism. But, alas no, H was completely baffled this morning by the gift and card at his spot at the breakfast bar and yes, he forgot. If he has something planned for tonight, well I feel bad because after work I have to do some running around which includes Market Day. When your H looks at a card and gift and asks, what's this for??? without a trace of dawning horror on his face, you know he forgot!! Honestly though, this could be good for about a week or two's worth of "Yes Dears". DH, can you dust and Windex the very crowded annoying curio cabinet.... YES DEAR! :guilty:

Slo: I must have missed your Boo post, but I'm not upset at all! You know I like to give y'all a hard time! I can see you PM'd me a Boo and I thank you because having a Slo-Boo is pretty funny. Piglet thank you as well for Booing me! (That sounds weird as any other time in life, if you are boo'ed you aren't probably going to feel very good about yourself. I get boo'ed a lot after putting dinner on the table! :rotfl: ) Two boos are better than none!

Well, it's almost time for me to blow this pop stand and I could use a nap! Thank goodness for the train because taking a nap while driving causes some serious problems! :lmao:

SLO: I don't know how I missed that Big Ole Boo post of yours. It's plain as day that's for sure!! So, to make up for it, I'd be happy to come by and clean your house!!!

Good morning!! Well baby day has been selected!

Roman Alexander will enter this world on October 4th! YAY! So as you can tell from my new ticker it is reallly close!!!

I have so much to do still! hahaah!!

I'll be away come baby day. I hope things go well for you and Sal.

Alright, I'm feeling left out. Who's house do I have to clean to get Boo'd around here? :rotfl: !!

Well today is my 10th Wedding anniversary and per usual, the "H" forgot. Notice there is no "D" in the DH. :sad2: I never know whether to feel upset or just superior because I remembered and got him a card and a nice gift. He recently ruined his work watch, so I replaced it with a much nicer version, if I do say so myself. And, not to mention it's not like it's #11 or something obscure, it's our 10TH!! Hello!!

Arrrgh, and now I'll probably get home and have to be gracious about some last minute gift of crappy roses from Jewel that will die tomorrow. I hate being gracious when I know it was some last minute thing that was picked up with no thought involved. Oh well.

At least I bid on and won a Limited Edition Haunted Mansion (Re-Haunting) pin on eBay. It's very cute and since I can't be there for real, this is the next best thing!

Have a good day everyone!

You can come and clean my house ;) Happy Anniversary I agree buy yourself something nice.

Alex has gone and picked up a cold. I have tried to teach him to pick up money leave the germs :confused3 What can you do.

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been absent of late. I have been job hunting and just so busy every day it seems.

Have a nice trip Bunchy! Hope your ATM card is safe in the machine for your return..

Happy Anniversary SamIam - pick yourself out a nice gift and buy it! This way you will get exactly what you want, and you won't care about the Jewel roses, lol.

I will have to figure out how to steal this "boo" lol

Have a nice warm and sunny afternoon everyone!

I too hope a great job comes your way soon. :thumbsup2

Don't be such a stranger.

Tigg I have stuff all layed out but nothing actually packed yet. Next week I'll start doing that. I would have put in shorts in the suitcase but it turned warm again. I'm not complaining it was too cold last week.

Hi to all!

Bunchkin... I know you're off by now, but hope you *have, had* a super trip!

DMM...congratulations on selecting a happy birthday! Wishing you guys all the best!

SamIAm...wishing you a very happy tenth anniversary!

Debbie...good to see you here...are you still visiting Wisconsin regularly?

Tommorrow my SIL goes in for her second surgery for the cancer...I will keep you guys posted..thanks again for your thoughts & prayers...

A shout out to ALL! Have a great night, everyone!

Hi to all!

Donna- Your SIL is in my prayers, praying her surgery goes well and the cancer is gone. :tink:

Slo- thanks for the Boo :) . I'll try to put it on my siggy one of these days.

CarolAnnC- Best wishes on your job hunting :wizard:
My DH has been there this summer, with the job hunting, as he was laid off form his previous job for 2 months, and no severance pay/ package at all from being laid off. DH has a temp job now and his job is working out fairly well so far:) .

Tiggerrn- Hope all goes well for you and the kids with the switching of schools :wizard:

Leigh- Best wishes on getting back on Weight Watchers.

DMM- Glad to hear of the due date for you! It won't be long!

Hi to Debbie and Piglet Too and everyone else

Have a good evening everyone.

Yesterday was a very productive day for me at work :thumbsup2
I got alot of framing work done, and I also got all my bills paid for both home and work. Now today I don't have to worry about anything (even though I still have a lot to do) :)

Debbie - Thanks for the sweet words about the thread - we love you too!!!:grouphug:

Sam - So....what happened last night??? Did he remember?
**You're going to come clean my house?!?! :dance3: Hooray!!!! :yay: ;) I hope you enjoy your Boo :goodvibes I personally love getting those seasonal things too :goodvibes

HERSEY - I sorry to hear about Alex getting a cold :guilty: Sending lots of PD your way for him to get better soon and before you leave on vacation:wizard:

CarolAnn - :wave2:

Donna - Sending lots of PD :wizard: and saying many prayers for your SIL today.
**Having my own business is wonderful for being able to spend time with my kids. I love that Stephanie comes home from school everyday at the store, and I love that Katie can come here too when Kevin is busy (like last night, the girls were with me). It makes being a working mom much easier ::yes::

Rose - Your welcome for the Boo!!!! :)

Well, I must get Ms. Steph up for school
Her ISTEP tests are finally done, and today she gets to take a snack, because the kids are taking it easy and watching a movie. I hope that means that she'll have minimal homework for the weekend (fingers crossed).

Have a good day today everyone!!

Morning everyone!

Off to get some bllod work done and then to get a abdominal CT scan. I tend to feel very ill when I have to drink the prep stuff, so I am not looking forward to this at all.

I wouldn't say he actually remembered, but he did stop at the store for some things we need around the house this weekend and got me a card, which was a relief because I was hoping I wouldn't have to be all "happy" about some "Jewel" roses. Don't worry, I think I'll have to stop at LUSH on my lunch hour today. They have a few new things out I would like to get. Oh and dang if Old Navy isn't right across the street on State! HA! I love those new Fair Isle sweaters they have!

So, I hope everyone has a good weekend. I'm thinking about hitting the new WalMart to check that out and see if they have any great bargains. I need some potting soil for my mums, so I will definitely pick that up while I'm there. How exciting.

Slo: I'll come clean your house, just leave out the buckets and the mop and if I were you I'd hide a few of those Big Figs you got because I'm not license or bonded and they might accidentally end up in my car!

Hersey! Thanks for the Boo too and I bet you're getting excited! I can't wait for them to announce that the new tower at the Contemporary is DVC because I'll wear the rubber out on my tires getting up to Woodfield for that!! Tell Alex to drink lots of orange juice and do a lot of handwashing! I'm getting so excited for you and hopefully by the time you get there, all the rain will be out of the forecast. Orlando is expecting T-storms everyday this week. Poor Bunchkin, I hope they are not getting washed out.

Good Morning everyone!

I'm so anxious for my 10 year old to get home! He's been at Outdoor Ed since Wed. in Oregon, IL. He comes home today!! The good news is I didn't get *any* phone calls saying to come get him!! WHEW!!! I was so nervous for him as this was his first real sleep-over away far away from family, etc... Not only that but he's my kid with issues. ;)

My DD I was never concerned about -- I threw her to the wolves long before she got to 5th grade (she went GS summer camping for "entering 2nd grade" and didn't even go with a buddy! & has gone every year since!) By the time she was in 5th grade a 2 night/3 day Outdoor Ed trip with dorms & indoor plumbing was *really* a piece of cake.

I just hope there weren't too many meltdowns (there are several things he could have freaked on that I know they do). It's mostly because I know how mean the other kids can be and the last thing he needs is to do something that will cause him to get teased the rest of the school year. :scared1:

At least the weather has been wonderful for the trip. I'm really glad about that because if it had been raining the whole time or something, would not have been good. Let's see how many lost items he has & if he managed to pack the bag back -- it was pretty full when I packed it & I'm sure he just shoved the stuff back in. I'm not sure it would fit back that way. :lmao:

The good news is I know his aide he's had for the past 2 years went along, so hopefully that made it easier (at least in my head having someone who has known him more than just the first couple weeks of school). I know she wasn't there just for him (I don't think but you know now that I think about it *maybe* she was since she is assigned to him as his aide & actually another boy too -- she is a shared aide except my DS IEP has 1:1 aide written on it. I never gave it a thought for Outdoor Ed though because it's for reading issues. Hmmm.)

I'm taking my DD back to the doctor's today because she still has that cough and although it's better -- I don't think her lungs are completely open yet as she is still having a hard time breathing in certain cases. We shall see. I'm not real happy with an answer the receptionist gave me when I called to get it re-checked. She said it would be 6-8 weeks for the cough to go away but the doctor told me to call in 7-10 days if it wasn't better. In addition, it's just one of those things that I don't know for sure but something doesn't "feel" right to me with it. Mother's intuition or whatever but I think we need to get a bit more done to fix it than what has been done already. Not that I have my medical degree or anything but just a "this isn't right" feeling. So, I get to be labelled neurotic mom today. That's OK, my kids aren't sick that often, so I can go practically a whole year without seeing the doctor except when it's time for the kid's physicals. I'm not backing down on this one, being able to breathe fully is a bit too important. ;)

I get to go to a Premier Design jewelry party tonight -- I know nothing about it. DD's excited though since she is invited too. It should be interesting to see what I get if anything. I'm not much of a jewelry person but DD is. Wonder if I can sneak Christmas shopping in while she's with me? :lmao:

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Becky ~ Is he at Lorado Taft? I went there in 6th grade and LOVED it. Still have great memories of my time there.

Back from the tests. The CT people were running way behind, so it took forever. The tech whispered to me to call my doctor as soon as I got home. I hate when they do that because then you are left wondering if they saw something.

Sorry to hear about the CT stuff. I hope it turns out OK.

Yes, he was at Lorado Taft. He's now one filthy boy at home. He wouldn't take a shower there. :lmao: He only takes baths here at home and I really didn't think they would convince him to take a shower. By the time he worked his courage up for it, it was time to leave & not enough time for a shower. He hates water coming down on him like that (rain/shower, being splashed in a pool, etc...).

UGH!!! I just found out he wouldn't use the bug stuff I sent with him because it had DEET in it! I guess I emphasized washing his hands TOO much after applying. He said others shared with him but still he has TONS of mosquito bites. UGH....if he would have listened to me and used the bug stuff I got, he would have had a LOT less. Yes, DEET is not healthy but it WORKS when you know you are going to be in a mosquito infested area. Or at least it works for his sister.

Oh well...I will be throwing him in the tub soon -- let him get a little bit of TV in and some snacks (besides I'm on the computer catching up myself! :lmao: ).

Took DD in & she now has an inhaler and some other meds to try, then back to the doctor's in 2 weeks. He says by then the first frost should happen! Silly doctor! Doesn't he know I'm hoping he's WRONG. It's still way too early for a frost in my book!! That shouldn't be happening until end of October or oh, November -- even December would be fine. Yes, it might make my DD's life easier for breathing but still I don't want to even think about frost.

I went to lorado taft too. I was in 5th grade at kelvin Grove.
How funny is this.
March On

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the PD on my illness. They think it might have been a kidney stone.:scared1: I am feeling better now, so they think I might have passed it with out knowing. They also said I should lay off the Diet Coke!
Bobbleheads/Bubbleheads...sometimes I think a bubblehead would be more appropriate for me. I delivered some tastefully Simple invitations and 2 had no info on them. Duh! I had the people call, just becuase they recognized the consultant!
I have been hired by a certain coffee chain. I start Monday. I had a great interview at a little Italian place, and she said she'd call Monday about training on Thursday. Never heard from her!:confused3 Very disappointed. I even called her Tuesday, but, nothing! Anyway, the other job I had but turned down was processing mail, full time, third shift. Way too boring! I could not handle it, especially third shift.
Had choc chip pancakes for breakfast, went for a 2 hour walk to burn some calories, came back to a pumpkin muffin and latte! DF bought them for me and it would have been rude not to eat them...what's a girl to do?
DMM- Hang in there! Love the name, btw.

Paint Sorry your not feeling well. Is the coffee shop start with an "s"?
If you do have Kidney stones trying drinking Lemonade there is something in the lemons that helps breakdown the stones. I had them I was looking for different ways to flavor the all that water. Who knew I was actually doing something right.

Michelle Hope you are still feeling well.

Today we went out looking for some last minute things. I was in Dick's sporting looking at a new pair of Croc sandels when all the lights went out. If God didn't want me to buy those Crocs he could have just gently said heh I think you have enough shoes ;), He didn't have to turn all the lights in Bloomingdale out:rotfl2:

Hi I am goin got ketchup..
Mac is prob gone by now.. and so is Bunchy.. have fun.. tell us abput it when you get back..

Work is the pits.. My new manager is a bit over the top and very into checking in on us.. I really don't like being treated like a 2 year old..

Eric is over at his friend Tylers and Geoff is doing homework and fluffing the Eagle write up..The boy scouts go to a WW2 reenactment in Rockford tomorrow... and Eric goes paintballing.. I get to clean and do laundry and grocery shop and cook..

BTW Eric's phone went into the wash today.. he was very upset ans he loves his phone and "needs" it.. plus I made him pay for it as it was not a free phone.. Oh well.. no phone for him for awhile..

Donna - Sending lots of PD :wizard: and saying many prayers for your SIL

bigben - How's your wife doing? When is your new addition to the family coming?

HERSEY - I bet you are getting so excited about your trip!! :cool1: Is Alex getting excited??

geffric - I"m so sorry your new manager is difficult :guilty: Sending some PD your way for him to chill out, and be easier to deal with :wizard:

Mac - Are you gone????

Well, I gotta run and get Stephanie up and throw her in the shower. Her hair always looks better right after it's washed, than after she's slept on it. Her hair is going to be a challenge today, because she's growing out her bangs, and I have to try to get those bangs under a large headband so they don't poke out and look goofy. I really wish she didn't want to grow them out, but I have to let her be her own person

Have a good day today everyone!!
