Okay, my biggest question is there any income tax ramifications or benefits to owning DVC? That's my main concern at this point.

I am not sure about the income tax /financial benefits. I'll ask DH. But before we bought, we stayed offsite in these hole in the wall places for CHEAP.. So buying DVC, we are staying in VERY NICE resorts, have a full kitchen ( which I use as we do many meals in ) and a washer and dryer.

It is wonderful to have a 1 bedroom so the kids sleep in a different room than we do, and have their own TV/DVD player to do what they want while DH does what he wants. When we stay in a regular hotel room, it is just too crowded.

Good evening all. Had my first taste of life on a :moped: . At Target. Two speeds. Backward slow or Forward slow:rotfl2: I can hobble on these crutches faster. HOpe the ones at Disney have a bit more kick to 'em.

Got the pets all set. Still have the toiletries to pack and a few odd things but pretty ready. DH doesn't want to hastle with car boosters through the airport, so looks like we'll buy a couple cheap ones there. Trip to Walmart first up!!:rolleyes1

Bunchkin and DMM hope you get some good loot at the AG sale.

bigben, congrats!!! You got what you wanted.

Well, I'm off to finish packing. Everyone here have a great week!!! I'll try to check in while I'm out if I can.

BigBen congrats on the the little one

Michelle take it easy and rest up tonight I hope you feel better tomorrow. Don't over do it.

Tiggerrn2 have a great trip and don't run anyone over.:moped:

Thanks Macraven. I can't believe how often everyone seems to be on this thread. Y'all (and yes, I'm from Chicago) know so much about each other! It's pretty cool. We're so looking forward to our Poly vaca, but are going to Boston alone and then a big family thing in Dallas. Disney will be relaxing compared to that!

Have a great weekend, everyone!:goodvibes

Have fun at DL Tiggerrn2.. can wait to hear all about it when you get back..

LoveKermit, MAC, Hersey DMM et al Hi..

Gotta go pick up Eric and do the errands..

DMM - I'm sorry to hear about the contining abdominal pain:guilty: Luckily you have Tiggerrrnnnnnnnnn here to give you all the advice you need to keep yourself healthy during your pregnancy. I wish I had here as a friend when I was expecting my girls.

HERSEY - Are you and Alex doing anything this weekend?

Disneynut - Did you have fun at the HP party? :)

geffric - I bet you are excited to leave soon :yay:

SamIAm - You can get a DVC video for free so you can check it out. We have the video and we spent 45 minutes on the phone with a CM about it, but we decided not to do it. :sad2:

Good morning Mac!! :wave2:

Slo I think we may be going to brookfield zoo tomorrow since the weather is what I call "zoo weather"
It's going to be an awesome zoo day tomorrow :sunny:
I'm hoping we can get to the zoo sometime this year.
Have fun tomorrow!!!

it was chilly last night.
it went down to 50 degrees and being the wimp i am, i put on the electric blanket

right now it is 59 but should get much warmer today

i'm headed out to six flags to get a churro today and then return back home.

Mac you sound like Alex is cold was it's 80 degree have fun at six flags.

I'll let you all know when Alex and his dad are going to Six flag is guaranteed to storm that day :rotfl: It happens every year.

hey homies, hi to all

slo, read your thread.
are you worried of closing the store for a week since it is a new store?
you know, it might be easier to close it for a week then tot have to set up other arrangments.

My baby is 9 years old today :goodvibes - where did the time go?????
She is so excited that today is not only her birthday, but also her family birthday party.:yay:
There's a million things to do today - clean up the house, pick up balloons, and pick up the cake.

Mac - I'm worried about closing the store, because I don't want to make any customers mad and not come back. If my employee that I have now was going to be here the whole time, then I wouldn't be concerned, but with her going back to school, I'm back to having no one:guilty: She will be here on those Saturday's that I'm gone, so that's a good thing. I just know that now going will break the girl's hearts, and I don't want them looking back on their childhood, and being upset that I put the store before them. This whole thing is weighing very heavily on me.
**How's the boys doing?? I hope they are doing better. :wizard:

To everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I gotta run and feed the birthday girl some breakfast
Have a good day today

today !

how does it feel to be 9 years old.......i know today will be great for you

slo, maybe you could have the store open for thur, fri, saturday for the week you are gone. have your employee do saturday, your family handle the other 2 days but limited hours. maybe 10 to 4 for those two days?

or have the family do tues and thursday and the employee do saturday.
spreading it out might be better.

and then do coupons for the first 3 days you are back home and back to work. if you had some great deals on coupons, people would wait for your return before shopping at your store.

who can resist a great coupon?
advertise in advance that the week you return will be coupon day for the first 3 days of that week. people will wait for that time then without a problem.

going to church soon, got your backs for the week chicagoland homies.
