Morning...:surfweb: Happy July.. I leave for WDW and Foodalot in 23 days.. I thought about dieting to look decent in pictures at WDW but then realized that it was senseless.. Might as well stay in "shape" for FOODALOT and then seriously diet so i can fit into my clothes..:rotfl2: :confused3

I made ribs last night and they were AWFUL.. I am willing to try again but only with a proven recipe. I think I am going to throw out the left over ribs if no one will eat them at dinner tonight. It was funny 'cause Eric was very concerned that I didn't have enough ribs only 1/2 slab for each.... each boy wanted a slab at least and now I have slab and 1/2 left over..LOL they were really BAD.

Bunchkin saw you "friend on the cover of the sunday mag.. he is dreamy..

Jedi - Have fun at The Police concert. Eric wanted to go but I am not sure why, since I would enjoy it and that would not be fun for him.. LOL..

Tiggerrn2 how's the foot today??

Hi to all... and

Anyway, I am downtown today.. gonna be a slow day but I am here...Talk to you all later..

Morning all.
Bunchkin, would love to see the emails. Thanks. If they have the ballet outfit there, I would love it if you could pick that one up. We were at the AG store when my niece was here and they had all sorts of sports outfits but no dance. There used to be a ballet set (not the one for Marisol-she has that). It had a warm-up outfit and a white costume. They came together. I tried to get it one Christmas and it was out and they weren't sure when they would get them in again. Then I guess they never did. When the new catalog came, it was gone.:sad2:

geffric and all-thanks for asking about the ankle. Felt really good yesterday. This morning I was playing catch with the dog, and then he ran back with his ball and stepped right on it.:scared1: So now it is a little sore again. Sitting with it elevated and took some ALeve.

There were some good ding fares this morning for CA for the 18th of August. til Oct. Was thinking about moving our vacation, but I don't know for sure if I will be off that long. If they send me back to work, then I can't get those dates. So I better just leave it be. If we can go, we go. If not, we don't.

Leigh, great to see you back here again. Can't wait to see your pix. Did you have a good trip? Sorry to hear you were sick. Those long stomach bugs are the worst. Great diet plan, though.

Well, had DD carry down the baskets so I could meddle with the :laundy: today. Kids are being great helpers right now. Wish I could figure out a way to keep them on it after I am better.:rolleyes1 Wish they were strong enough to carry the vacuum cleaner up from the downstairs closet, too. I have visions of holes in the walls though, so I think I better let that one slide.:rotfl2:

You all have a nice day:flower3:

My mom has the girls for supper, and she said she will make me a BLT sandwich when I get there in a couple of minutes. She's such a good mom - she watches my girls, does my ironing, bought me lunch, and is now making me dinner - I just love her!!!

Good to see you bigben :) Are you going to be on a tv show? How cool is that!!! I will definitly look for you in August:thumbsup2 Don't be a stranger here okay?!?!

Hi Guys..
Fly by...
Wisconsin was fun and we are going back tomorrow. Pretty much came home to drop off DH for work and for DDs swim lessons. That's the nice thing about the place only being an hour and a half away. Did a ton of:laundy: and paid the bills:surfweb: . I hope you are all doing good. Have a great rest of the week while I am gone and HAPPY 4th!
Looks like everyone is have good summer fun!
The weather has been so great!
Debbie

Bunchkin...love your pix!

Anyone doing Taste???
We will miss it this year.:guilty:

This is how I feel today:surfweb:

Tonight is going to be the first time I'm going to leave my employee at the store alone for a couple of hours. I'm going to start doing this 3 days a week - I think she will be fine. She's a smart girl, and she's not afraid to ask questions - I really like her ::yes::

Bunchkin - Thanks for the info, and I love the pictures!! The ones that were Laurens idea are great :)

Debbie - I'm glad you enjoyed Wisconsin, and I hope you have a good time when you return:cool1: No we aren't going to The Taste - we haven't done that in years. This would have been a good year to go though with the heat not being dreadful.

Well, it's time to jump in the shower
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Great Pics Bunchy..

Debbie - I thought about taking the kids to the Taste.. maybe next weekend.. not sure.. DH hates those kind of things so I'll see if i can drag him or just take the boys myself..

Hi all. Long time no talk to. Haven't been online that much. Stitchfansjr is on much much more than me. Bunchkin those pictures of Chicago where wonderful!!

As some of you know I was busy planning oldest DDs wedding. It was at the Naper Settlement this past Friday. The chapel there is so beautiful!! We had the reception at Naper's tavern right next to the chapel. Very quaint. I am on pins and needles waiting for the pictures from the photograpers since he took quite a bit throughout the grounds. Should be beautiful!

Warning to all of you if you are planning something and need a caterer. Don't hire Belgios in Naperville. Man we were so disappointed and such a waste of a lot of money. The pork loin was so touch and dry, unable to eat it nor the so called chicken which was suppose to have some lemon sauce on it. The chicken was totally bland no taste at all. The only thing I ate and thought was good was the appetizer meatballs which I only got 3 of them and the baked potato.

Then to top it off we paid for 3 servers per hour plus a chef and a bartender. Not cheap let me tell you. We had 2 servers and the bartender was out from behind the bar helping them. So everyone had to wait to get something to drink. Besides that the glasses were so small and so full of ice your drink was gone within 2 gulps. Of course the beverages bill was seperate from the food so we were really taken with that.

I emailed them to tell them and as expected got no reponse. Afterall they got their money what do they care? I plan on calling them on the phone after I get off the computer. Sorry needed to vent somewhere.

Otherwise though the wedding was practically perfect. Many wonderful memories. Both DDs looked so beautiful!!!

Those tourist photos are hysterical. Truly funny! I guess having met those two kids of yours make it really humorous because they do really have neat personalities and are so "expressive".

I hope everyone has a great Fourth of July! We truly are the greatest nation on earth. I hope it's safe and happy for everyone!

We might do the Mokena 4th Parade tomorrow morning, but otherwise, I think I'm just going to sleep in. I'm tired today. Our neighbors are real pips and last night at 2:00 a.m., I jumped out of bed thinking my alarm was going off, but it was the backing up BEEP BEEP BEEP noise for an ambulance that was pulling into their driveway. Three Will County Sheriffs and an ambulance at 2:00 a.m. I am so sick of these people. They have a teenage boy who runs the house by force and I think the father has actually left as he probably bailed on this kid who has threatened and beat his Dad on numerous occassions. So, now I'm really interested to know what happened last night, but I'll just MYOB because the last thing I want to do is get involved with that in any way, but dang I'm super tired today.
I didn't hear any noise or trouble up until I heard the beeping, so hopefully, no one was seriously hurt or injured (except maybe the thug).

See you all on Thursday!

:hippie:

Good morning!! :wave2:

Since Tony is working tomorrow I think the kids and I are going to go see Ratatouille again.
And maybe a quick trip to IKEA in Bolingbrook. :yay:

HUGE kabooms here last night!!! Some sounded like gun shots, which wouldn't be all that unusual actually. :sad2: We have a few Mexican ranches near by and they are always having events and yes, shooting off guns into the air. :sad2:  I talked to a police officer the other week about it just by chance and he said some things that made me go "hmmmmm?". :scared:

Stitchfans Glad to hear that your DD's wedding was nice!!
Too bad about the caterer though!! :sad2:

slo Hope everything goes smoothly with your employee being on her own!! :thumbsup2

hey chicagoland homies....

hope you all are having a good day.

i just got back from milwaukee. oldest son had his tonsils taken out yesterday. he is miserable today but that was to be expected

not doing anything on the 4th but plan on playing on the dis...

Mac Hope your son starts to feel better soon.

Stitchfans sorry you had a bad catering experience maybe they had a off day. Glad the wedding went well.

Good evening everyone. Hope you all are having a good day.
Mac, hope your DS heals quickly. :wizard: My 2 kids are both having their tonsils out Aug. 1st. With me and my broken ankle and those 2, this house should be a barrel of laughs.

Bunchkin, thanks for the email forward. Doesn't look like the ballet outfit will be a go.:sad1: But on the off-chance you see it there, please pick it up for me. I will come get it and pay you back. Could always use an excuse to leave these walls. Loved the pix of the city and the "sightseers"!!

Having a poor me day today. :sad2: It really sunk in how much I just cannot manage to get done. Floors are hideous, bathrooms with 1 little boy get icky fast and while I can manage sink and toilet, the tub is another story. And the floors with this dog need sweeping and vacuuming something awful. Tried to call a housekeeping person today. Had to leave a message. Hope she calls me back soon. Sorry for the pity party.

Stitchfans, sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with the food. Hopefully everything else was so nice that people won't give the food a thought.

Slo, hope your employee had a good evening for you. Any sales today?

Deb, have a great 4th in WI. Hope we all don't get that rain they are calling for. Every day for weeks it's been beautiful. Bring on a holiday and it has to rain. Go figure!!

Well, gonna surf a bit. DH and kids took D-O-G for a walk to the park so I have the house to myself for about 30 minutes.

Later:surfweb:

thanks tiggerrnnnn, i hope so also.

wow, you have a broken ankle and will have both kids in for surgery on aug 1

you are a super woman. that is a lot to take care of. i hope you are feeling better soon with the ankle.

are both kids having the surgery the same day?
will it be out patient or will they be kept in the hospital?

if they could keep them for overnight, that might help you. that first 24 hours is a busy time for a mom to handle it all.
