You definitly got that right!!! ::yes::

The alarm company called me at 4:30am to tell us there was a glass break alarm that went off at the store. So I rushed out of bed, got dressed, raced over there, to find out nothing was wrong. The police officer went inside the store with me to make sure everything was fine, and it was. So I have to call the alarm company later and try to figure something out. The police officer told me that a semi going down RT 30 could have vibrated the windows enough to set off the alarm. This alarm has to be made less sensitive.

So I came back home and went to bed (even though I was going to be up in an hour anyway). So when I did get up at my normal 5:45am I went on the computer, and no DIS :sad1: It wasn't worth going back to bed, so I sorted through my emails, and did some other things. By the time the DIS was back up, it was to late because I had to get Stephanie off to school.

So now, I'm typing this as I'm finishing breakfast, and then Katie and I are off to do a couple of errands and then head off to the store - I have a ton of stuff to do there today.

So......hello to everyone :wave2:

I'll try to check back in later!!!

Have a good day today!!!

good morning chicagoland homies.

it is friday......hope you all enjoy today.

Slo- How crazy is that? The alarm def needs to be turned down a bit!
Tiggerrn- Made my last lunch today! Ds still has 2 mini days next week, though. DD is done today!
Bunchkin- Thrilled about the HP area at Universal? I am!
Well, I have started packing. I don't know if I am making much progress, but I sure am making a mess! It's a disaster zone in here! We have a closing scheduled and are waiting for the people to fix a few minor things. They are going to somehow secure the cistern lid. I just can't wait to get moved!
I get another free weekend since the kids are going to their dad's work picnic. It is awesome...a huge carnival! I will actually miss going this year. I think it's all the delicious food...funnel cake!

Well, better get the lunches made. Only 8 more lunches to go.

That is so funny. I count down lunches too. For some reason I am so happy not to be making lunches in the summer.. Well Eric was the only lunch today as the high school gets off at 11:50 today.. But Eric has tons of puzza parties next week so no lunches required for him... so only 3 more lunches to go.. then finals - and that doesn't count..

Kids are off. :laundy: underway. Just need to walk:dog: to the post office to send in those bills:eek: and my 'sure to win' postcards to the Dreams Giveaway!!! I'll check in later. Finally a day with nothing on the calendar that I have to go to.:woohoo: Maybe I'll actually get to take a nap.:rotfl:
House always needs to be cleaned.:lmao:
Later all!!!!
Hey, Paint. Remember the GOLDEN RULE!!!... If you haven't worn it, used it, kids haven't played with it in a year, IT DOESN'T MOVE WITH YOU!!!!:rotfl2: I keep trying to remind myself of the same thing when I clean out the closets and toy boxes.

Howdy y'all!!!!

I've been so busy with things for the past couple days, I don't know whether to wind my butt or scratch my watch!!!

Next Friday I have our troop's camp-out at our house. It was to take place last June but because of my foot surgery I had to cancel.
Well, this past fall we added one more girl to the troop and I forgot that I didn't have enough of some of the things I bought for one more girl.
And of course I realized this just last week!!!! :headache:
So I've been calling like crazy to all the places I placed orders to try and get one more item of all this stuff. One item is no longer being made!!
And three things came from Target's dollar spot last spring, so you know those aren't available!!!
I don't want anyone feeling out of sorts because their things don't match everyone elses stuff.

I guess I shouldn't worry about it too much. But still.........:sad2:
I'm just going to have to shop around for something similar.

This morning I got my cavity filled and my teeth cleaned. I will never, NEVER wait so long again to have a dental check up!!!!!! OUCH!!!
Mouth is still in pain!

slo Glad your sign is finally up!!! YAY!!
Wow!! The store alarm must be really sensitive!! But you must have been really freaked out by that phone call so early in the morning!!! I would have!! :scared1:

Debbie Hope you have a great trip and a wonderful b-day!!! Make lots of memories to share with us!!! :goodvibes :cool1:

Tiggerrn Congrats for winning last night!!!
No more lunches for me to make....well, at least to send off to school that is!! :rotfl: We have a 1/2 day on Mon and only an hour and a half on Tues!!
Are you guys going to any of the free days at the musuems?

Crissup DH is an electrician, residential and commercial. Specializing in custom homes.

paint After seeing and reading all about what Universal is going to be doing with Harry Potter at their park, I told DH we now have a reason to go there!! :rotfl: So I think we will make a side trip there after the HP area is open in 2009.
Did you hear the movie is opening 2 days earlier now?? July 11th!!! :rotfl:

Busy, busy morning....got the 2 kids off to school & my oldest nearly missed her bus. I'm glad she has a driver that waits when he sees you scrambling to get there! *WHEW*

Then took DS-10 over to the urgent care and he doesn't have strep but I'm not hallucinating. I DID see something in his throat. It's something I have never heard of in my life, so I learned something new today. Apparently it's a clogged pore on your tonsils and it looks like it got infected. EWWWW!!!! So, I learned that your tonsils shed skin? or something of that nature and you can basically have pimples on your tonsils that occassionally get infected. Who knew! Apparently if this is something that happens often it's one possible reason for removing your tonsils but apparently it's not a common occurrance (which is the exact reason my DS has it!!!!)...he's the child that always gets the "it's rare" or "it never happens in a child over X" -- well it can & does happen to HIM for those things. Poor thing. So, he will be on amoxicillian for the next 10 days but he's not contagious so was able to go back to school after the appointment.

Then I apparently had spaced out with paying for DD's gymnastics class. Monday is the last day for it but I apparently never signed her up for this session and if I didn't pay by TODAY, she could not compete tomorrow in her state meet. So went and took care of that. I had her signed up for the session before it & after it but apparently missed that one. It's kind of goofy with team because they don't have a definite end/beginning for the Park District classes per se, once the season starts you pretty much keep going that same time from the fall until summertime. They just break up the sessions for payments and sometimes we get into the habit of taking them and forget when one session ends & another begins. Although it would have been nice of them to tell me, oh, when the session first STARTED as opposed to now. The good news with that is DD moved up to Level 6 for next year!!!   She is one happy camper on that as she had been at Level 5 for 3 years. I believe it now moves into some optional stuff so instead of a routine that is the same for everyone, she can choose some of her own music and different routines from others.

Just picked the kids up from school not too long ago & picked up the medicine, so we can start it tonight and now I can sit and *ahhh* relax for a few minutes before I have to start getting dinner ready, although DH is picking up some of the ingredients so can't start too much on that ahead of time.

Howdy y'all!!!!

Tiggerrn Congrats for winning last night!!!
No more lunches for me to make....well, at least to send off to school that is!! :rotfl: Yeah, unfortunately we still have to feed the little ankle biters. I would eat a whole lot less if I didn't have to feed them. LOL We have a 1/2 day on Mon and only an hour and a half on Tues!!
Are you guys going to any of the free days at the musuems?

We'd love to go for sure. When exactly are they? I have memberships to the zoo and the Shedd Aquarium for the year, so I know we will be going to those places this summer as often as possible.

Becky, congrats to DD on moving up in gymnastics.:cheer2: And thank goodness your DS doesn't have strep.

DD brought home all of her "paperwork" from the year. I wonder what they will do all of next week?:confused3 I believe grades are done already, so this whole week is such a waste of time.

Well, better run. Have to fix dinner. Burgers on the grill tonight. Too warm to turn on the oven.
Later

I am ABSOLUTELY up for any museum and also the Brookfield zoo! Love it there!
Don't forget if you live in Chicago (and sometimes neighboring suberbs) you can check out passes for any of these places at the library!

Thanks so... much everyone!
I am so excited, nervous, happy, anxious, but I can't stay away from the DIS today! It's calming to me! People right at my finger tips to answer all my questions! I DIS then I pack, then I DIS some more...then I clean...then I DIS..then I do some laundry.... you guys get the point, right!

Bad thing is it really drags things out!

I love posting PIX so bare with me when I get back!

I just found out that the Weasly twins from Harry Potter will be at Hollywood theatre in Woodridge again this year for the movie release!!!

We saw them last movie release when our Brownie troop went as a huge family group. It was really wierd though. Both guys had jet black hair!!!! :rotfl:

I think we might have to go there again to see the movie JUST to see them!!! :cool1:
