Good Monday Morning Everyone!!!

Busy week ahead for us here.

Today Hunter has a field trip that we are going to! Should be lots of fun and it's right down the street! :thumbsup2 It's a wonderful nature center in the forest preserve behind our house.
It's his first field trip so he's excited!!

Also, Hunter's preschool graduation is Friday night and there is a class picnic that day.

And Lauren has a field trip tomorrow to the Naper Settelment. :cool1:

Gotta run!
Hope everyone has a great day! Enjoy the weather!!!! :cool1:

I live in Hammond In and want to say hello to all. I and my family of seven will be going to DW in June and cannot wait. Dave:banana:

Hey David: Just wanted to say HI because as a former resident of Robertsdale, I thought I should!! I miss the old neighborhood sometimes. I used to live right behind Sterks at 119th & Calumet. It was great to walk to the grocery store and everything you needed was a 2 minute drive. Now I live out in the burbs and everything is a 20 minute drive that because of traffic turns into a 30 minute drive. Sheesh!

Have a great trip in June!

Morning everyone. This is a catch-up week/ballet week. Hope to catch up on the housework from last week and get ready for ballet Peter Pan. Have to figure out/practice putting DD hair in banana curls. I am so not a hairstylist.:lmao:
Bunchkin, have a fun, busy week. Be sure to post some pix of your house and landscaping. Would love to see it.
Slo, hope you get good news from the PT
Crissup, how did the driveway turn out?
SamIAm, how ya' doin'?
Mac, thanks again for the listings.
Hi, Paint, Rosemarie, Jedi, Hersey, and everyone. It is a beautiful day. I am off to visit DNiece and her husband before they return to Baltimore and then I am coming home to mow and be outside.:thumbsup2
Later:cool1:

Happy Monday, everyone!

Bunchkin ~ I remember when I did the "fly up" as a kid. As a matter of fact, I found my girl scout uniform at my moms the other day. :)

Have a great day everyone! It looks like we're going to have a nice day.

Crissup how is the driveway today??
Crissup, how did the driveway turn out?

Driveway seems to have turned out good so far. I sealcoated the apron over the weekend and parked CarolAnnC's car in it this morning. So, hopefully, we won't find a large sink hole where Carol's car used to be when we get home this evening. :lmao:

Crissup - I've heard that spider eating piece of trivia too, but I don't remember the number either:sad2: It could be 1 or 100 and it would still gross me out

Aha!! Found a link on Snopes. Turns out it's a hoax!! At least, they *claim* it's a hoax, but can we truly be sure? ;)

I need to share a funny story with you all..................

At 4:50pm I get my keys to take Steph to dance class, and I realize that my purse wasn't there. So I calmly looked in my car, and it wasn't there. So I took my phone, my keys, and Stephanie and proceeded to dance class.

After I dropped Stephanie at dance, I went to see my mom at her meeting to see if she had my purse (I was with her earlier in the day, and in her car). She said she didn't have it, but we looked in her car again to make sure.

More nervous now, I went back home, and called the flower store I went to earlier in the day. I was praying that they would have it, and they didn't. Now I was starting to get very nervous:eek: .

I asked Katie, "Did you play with mommy's purse?" She said, "no mommy!!"

Kevin and I looked around the house some more, and I asked Katie again, "Are you sure you didn't play with mommy's purse?" She said again, "no mommy!!"

So I go downstairs starting to panic, and I hear Kevin upstairs, "Where did you find mommy's purse?" I ran upstairs, and here's Katie standing there, holding my purse.:cutie:

I said to her real happy, because I didn't want her to think I was mad, "Where did you find mommy's purse?" She just stared at me.

Kevin said cheery, "If you tell us the truth, I will give you a special something." She still just stood there.

I said again very very very happy, "Honey, please tell me where you found the purse." She finally said, "I hid it over there." and pointed to under the dining room table. I explained to her how scared I was to lose my purse, and she can't hide things (she's been in a real hiding phase). She promised that she wouldn't hide it again (but she's 3 and I'm sure she's already forgotten this conversation:rolleyes: )

So I asked her a little later, "Why didn't you tell mommy you hid the purse?" She said, "I find it funny, because you were calling the place" What a stinker:rolleyes: !!!! I told Kevin, not only did she hide my purse, she was laughing about it too - I"m going to have to watch here!!!!!:cutie: :rotfl:

So that's my funny story - something I will happily tell her children someday :teeth:

Crissup I think the spider thing is totally made up, why would I still be hungry in the morning if I ate all those spiders?;)

Slo Have to type fast it's looking grim out here. When Alex was little he had a little car he would ride around the house in giving everyone "tickets". Playing the mini cop in training like his dad. Anyway he decided after watching us drive he needed keys. So he took his dad's key's to his squad car. We searched and searched. We finally had the bright idea of asking, Alex kept saying they were in the squad car(his little car) we did finally figuire it out. Needless to say his dad took better care of his keys after that. Kid's you HAVE to love them. They don't recycle well :thumbsup2

When it rains, it pours!! If only that was just a bad pun! :( We got home tonight and I walk into the house to find Carol standing in the living room looking up. It would appear that our shower has now decided to start leaking somehow, so we now have a sopping wet living room ceiling. :(

This shower floor was just replaced by the builder almost exactly one year ago. So, if they try and claim that I'm out of warrenty, I'm going to point out that the shower floor was work done by them and it's right at the one year point for that work.

Wish me luck all!

slo that is a funny story.

reminds me when my boys played, let's hide brother.

i had the 3 boys within 4.6 years from start to finish.
two of them hide todd when he was 3 years old in the hamper.
the kid fell asleep in there and i just couldn't find him anywhere.

the police did not take kindly to find him for me.

i did cry a lot in those days.

especially when they took a ladder to the roof to find the chimney
you can guess where this story goes......:rolleyes1

Mac Sounds like your boys were very active.

Crissup Sounds like your house is one surprise after another.I hope things settle down for you and Carol.

I have sooooooo many things to do today - my list keeps growing and growing. But that's okay - I won't be bored, that's for sure ;)

Things are progressing at the store. The security system goes in today, and then the foyer tiles go in on Friday, and then the carpet on Monday. I'm not sure when the ceiling tiles are going up, but they have to go up or get our by Monday, because they are now sitting in the middle of the floor:rolleyes: .

My flowers look so nice in front of the house. I didn't buy any flats of flowers, because I haven't decided when I'm planting those. Part of me is thinking I'll plant on Saturday and buy the flats on Friday :)

Kevin just reminded me about voting today - I gotta add that to my list :faint:

Thanks to all that mentioned the PT yesterday :) I really enjoy going (isn't that goofy), the 2 therapists are so nice, and they are the same people I went to last year for my neck. I was going twice a week, but I'm now starting to go once a week, and then soon I will be done. When I'm gone I will miss them - we have some great laughs while I'm there.

HERSEY - did it rain by you last night? We had nothing here :)

Crissup - Problems at home aren't giving you a break:guilty: I'm so sorry to hear about your leaking shower, and what it has done to your ceiling :guilty: Sending lots of PD your way that the builder fixes it soon, and takes responsibility for it:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

mac - Your boys kept you on your toes. That chimmney story scares me - did one get stuck? I can see why you cried alot

Well, I gotta get ready for my busy day
Have a great Tuesday everyone!!
