The heat went on about 10:00 a.m. or maybe a little after! So, all is well! It really never got below like 63 degrees in here. It wasn't so bad. A little polar fleece jacket and I'm set!

I posted on the CB about this, but has anyone else seen some of the Annie Leibovitz photos featuring "celebrities" as Disney characters. Well, I have to say that I find the Cinderella photo just breathtaking. I like David Beckham's too, but something about Scarlett Johannsen as Cinderella just "fits" in my mind!

I like her work. When we went to NY in November, we were supposed to go to the Brooklyn Museum to see an Annie Leibovitz exhibit but since DH got sick on the plane we ended up not leaving Manhattan.

Hi friends!!!! :wave2:

I'm just dropping by for a quick hello, while waiting for Steph to be done with dance. Then after I post, I need to put the girls fish sticks in the oven for dinner (they love those things, and actually I do too ::yes:: )

Mindy - Ouch!!!! I'm so sorry about your back:( Sending lots of PD your way for that to feel better soon pixiedust:

Becky - Wow, I didn't realize she may have to wear the brace for that long :( Poor thing!!!! She needs some PD too pixiedust:

Rose - :wave2:

Bunchkin - I was thinking of you this weekend, and wondering if you were staying warm. I'm glad you had fun even though you were cold, but I'm sorry about the headache - those are the worst!!!!!:worried:

Sam - I'm so glad Megan is feeling better:) How did she do with her new schedule today? I bet she did great!!!! :thumbsup2

Debbie - How did you son do at the doctors today? I hope he didn't get to upset.

Jedi - What a cute picture of you!!!!! :) I'm glad you had fun at the party!!

Tiggerrnnn - :wave2:

Well, I gotta go throw in the fish sticks
Have a good night everyone!!!

Hey Slo:

Yes, Megan is feeling better and is begging to not have to take anymore medicine. I told her the one way to get 100% better is to take all the medicine the way the Dr. said. Otherwise, the bug just comes back even stronger and you need worse medicine or a "SHOT". :faint:

That convinced her right there!! So, another seven days of begging her to take the medicine.

Megan did very very well today! She could see her bus #24 from her classroom window and found it easily. She was bubbly when I got home and her friend is over her playing as we speak. I know she feels a lot better about her situation now too. I totally think she feels more comfortable, or maybe I'm projecting... :scratchin

Kids are funny ya know. Over the weekend, her friend Samantha tells me this: My Mom and Dad got in a fight the other night and my Mom was screaming at my Dad that she was going to call 911 and have him arrested. I was thinking... OH MY! And then I started snickering because kids will just say the darndest stuff. I told her Mom what Samantha told me -- I said, no judgments, I just thought you might want to talk to your daughter about what's appropriate to discuss outside the home. She was :o Apparently, they have hit a rough patch, but hope to smooth things out very soon.

I told her they need to take a trip to WDW. :hyper:

That cures everything right!

Today is a sad day for my mom and I. We are closing on my Grandma's house :worried: Even though it's very good that we were able to sell the house, it's still very sad that we are never going to go inside of it again :( I was indifferent if I should walk through it one more time, and I decided not to. I would much rather remember it how it was, instead of an empty shell (even though I've been in it several times, while it was empty, but it was empty and still hers. Now it's empty and almost someones elses). I still can't believe it's almost been a year since she passed away. I can still hear her voice like I talked to her yesterday. What a sad day!!!!

Sam - I sure hope Megan is able to take the mediciane well for you (sometimes it can be hard). I had to do this  about what Megan's friend said. Kids have no problem telling anything to anybody. Stephanie's teachers have always said how kids love telling them things (even things they don't want to hear ). I hope that little girls parents start getting along better - sounds like a tense atmosphere for her :( I like your advice to them - a WDW trip does cure everything!!!! :thumbsup2

Well, I gotta go and get ready for this closing (I'm going with my mom)
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Good Morning!

slo I hope the house closing goes smoothly. I know it must be a sad day for you and your mom.
Glad to hear that Katie is feeling better!! :) (I forgot to mention that before!! ;) )

Sam Being a Girl Scout leader, I get my fair share of loose lip stories from little girls too. :rotfl: I've heard some doozies!! ;)
I can't believe Megan's friend came over in the bitter cold. No one's going outside around here!! :) Lauren tried to get her one friend to come over on Sunday afternoon, but all they did was haggle back in forth as to who should go to who's house! :rotfl2: So neither of them went out!!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

jedi I sure do hope that Toby's flight is going well! And I hope that you'll be spending time with him soon! :thumbsup2
Did you make your Blue Bayou ADR yet??

Gotta run for now and get ready for the day!
I can feel a sinus headache coming on again!!! I hate this time of year!! :headache:

Sandy  I hope things go smoothly.

Bunchkin I hate this time of year too. My sinus' are so not happy.

Becky..
What did DD ever say about the HSM decorations and stuff? I forgot to ask.
Debbie

She loved it! We got the shirt we ordered from spreadshirt.com! I LOVE IT! We tried zazzle & the other obvious places to try and order it. Carolyn didn't like any of the color t-shirts. She wanted a RED one and NOT a guy's t-shirt. After much searching (and squabbling between her & I -- she's so picky!!!) found that site & like it so much better as you can really be creative there as not only can you put things on the front/back but you can also print stuff on the sleeves. I think I'm going to order 2 more since it came out nice and get them for her friends that joined us. I know one of the other girls didn't get a t-shirt because she would have taken an adult small also. The other girl is small enough that she was able to fit in the youth medium size so got the concert t-shirt. I still think ours is cool though.

Kids are funny ya know. Over the weekend, her friend Samantha tells me this: My Mom and Dad got in a fight the other night and my Mom was screaming at my Dad that she was going to call 911 and have him arrested. WDW sounds like a good cure. I know our 1st grade teachers usually say at the beginning of school -- I won't believe 1/2 of what your child says about you if you won't believe 1/2 of what they say about me. :rotfl2: Especially those prone to stories! My DD had a best friend up until grade 4 that would so easily tell some tall tales all with a serious tone & fairly believable. It got to the point of you were never sure if she was actually telling the truth or not. I know my kids go in and give part of the story for stuff on occassion, which usually makes it sound worse than what really happened. Either that or all the teacher's think I'm a whacked mom. What usually happens is I either get asked a question or a note & I'm just scratching my head as to what in the world are you talking about. :confused3 Until I realize the missing parts.

Good Morning!

I thought it was odd too going out in the cold, but it gave Megan something to do for a while last evening. Although she argues with this little girl a lot. So, I had to break up a few bickering matches. :rolleyes2 Her Mom came to get her at about 7:40 and Megan was in bed by 8:15. Good enough! They wanted to have a sleepover, UMMMM NOT!!

My sinuses really hurt today as well, but I had an allergy fit last night while I was petting my bird. Poor little guy got sneezed on!! It doesn't bother me most of the time, but I think the dryness has his dander on an upswing, so I started getting the sneezy wheezies. His cage needs a cleaning too, so that will be on the agenda for this weekend.

Anywho, hope everyone stays warm. If you think today is bad wait til this weekend!! Sheesh! :faint:

Sam I forgot to say that I agree with you about the pic in your siggie! :) The small size pic doesn't do it justice for showing all the detail!
I looked at the huge one of it and it is just beautiful!! :goodvibes

As you all know I love Bon Jovi!! :teeth:

One thing I have in common with Jon is we used to have the same hair in the 80's!!!! :rotfl2: :lmao:

Gosh I'm glad those hair days are gone!!! :rotfl:

Good morning everyone.
Slo, hope the closing goes smoothly. I know how you are feeling. When my Grandma passed away, the restaurant I worked for bought her house so they could use part of the yard for parking. I begged them not to tear the house down because I couldn't bear the thought of not seeing it there. They are still renting the house out to this day, but half the yard is gone, so even still it isn't the same.
Bunchkin, hope you feel better quickly. I had to take something yesterday. Darn cold weather and the heaters. Our humidifier is in the garage and DH says it needs new filter. So does he get one? :scratchin Of course, neither do I.:rotfl2:
Becky sounds like the shirt you did was great. Probably better made and not as expensive as the concert shirt, too. Glad you had a good time.
Hi Hersey. Have a good day.
Well, off to shower and back to the toy sort. DD had more stuff under that bed than I knew she did. Don't even want to imagine what DS has in his room.:lmao:
Have a great day everyone. Stay warm!!!!

That's what was so funny about it!

Here it is
HSMshirt.jpg
,

The writing is kind of blurry because I had to blow it up from the small image the company had on the websiteIt says "High School Musical Concert, Chicago, January 19, 2007" underneath the picture in white.

Did all that & INCLUDING shipping was less than the cost of the shirt at the concert & it's a one of a kind! :rotfl:

I wasn't sure how it would turn out since I had never heard of this place but figured I would give it a shot. I loved it. They shipped really fast too. I will probably do all my custom shirts through there now just because it seemed like they had more choices & more flexibility in the way you could design the shirt. I could have put something on the back & something on both sleeves.

I just thought it might be nice to get one for the girl that was with us that also couldn't get a t-shirt since they only had Youth sizes left. Then, if I'm getting one guest one, I need to get the other girl that was with us 1 too.

I found out Sunday what size she was so I would know what size to order for her.

I may have to customize our shirts for our next trip via them. We shall see. I'm one of those weird ones that likes to coordinate shirts with the parks I'm going to. Doesn't always work but I try. Not so sure since the boys will be older if they will go along with it -- so much easier when I just hand them clothes and say "here". THEN AGAIN, they are boys -- I can probably still hand them clothes and go here wear this, even if they are older. :rotfl2: The only one that won't go along is my DH. Although I did manage to get him to wear a polo with a small Grumpy on it last time. If I get the old guys from the Muppets, he would probably wear that too.

samIam - I think that's funny that your burdee got sneezed on :rotfl: When I sneeze, my birdee mimics the sound right back

slo - I'm sorry about your grandma's house. :grouphug:

bunchkin - Toby's home and safe and sound. Now I can relax :goodvibes He brought me some pretty jewelry and a beautiful handcarved wood Macaw (parrot). Very pretty.
By the way, that pic of Bon Jovi - if I hadn't seen the chest hair, I might have thought that was a woman! :scared1: :rotfl:

Hope everyone else is keeping warm. I'm still cold and sneezy and I thought I may be coming down with a cold, but now that everyone else mentions allergies, that's most likely what it is, since I get allergies all the time.

Hi Chicago friends,:yay:
WOW it is freezing out there!!!!!:cold: :cold: :cold: Oh well.
Slo..I started to cry reading about your yucky day. Hang in there!

Hi friends!!! :wave2:

Everything went very smooth today, and the people that bought my Grandma's house were very nice people. They are young (my age) with three children. The children are very very excited about the home, because my Grandma had a very very large back yard. Seeing how nice the people were and how excited they were about the home, made the closing a little easier. Thanks to all that provided hugs for me today - I really needed them :grouphug:

Now I'm waiting for Ms. Stephanie to be done with CCD, and I have a pot of Baked Potato Soup on the stove (Campbells frozen = :goodvibes ) Soup sounded so good on a cold day like today. Plus...I have a really bad sore throat today that I'm hoping the soup will sooth.

Well, I guess I should go stir my soup
Have a good night tonight!!!

I was going to go and get something for dinner out after I picked up market day, but it is way too cold. I guess I'll stay home and cook.

Slo I glad things went as well as possible. It was very sad when we sold my grandparents house too.

Oh and I love Baked potato soup.:cool1:

Debbie If you need my garbage can let me know:car:

Think :beach: :sunny: :sunny: everyone. Maybe we will warm up.

I made my airline ressies today :cool1:
