Good morning, everyone! I cannot believe this weather!! :cold: It's crazy!! Each snowflake is like a small, juicy snowball! I ended up almost soaked and freezing just getting from the front door to the van. :sad2: I can't seem to get warm now. I am ready for 70 degree weather!

We have Cubs' tickets for this Saturday afternoon. I'm hoping it warms up by then. I saw this morning they are calling for it to be 47 and rainy. :faint: I hope they're wrong and it turns out to be nice. We went to an early season game last April and it was 80 degrees. That would be nice, again!! ::yes::

On a happy note, my sister, mom and I have decided we are going to Disney!! Just the three of us. :dance3: :woohoo:  We had originally talked about going 8/25-8/30. But, now I see they are offering free dining starting 8/26. So, we are going 8/26-8/31. I wanted to go the middle of September, but this is the only time that works for my mom and sister. I'm just hoping it isn't crazy that week. Of course, we're going without kids and husbands, so it should make it better. I need to call on Friday to make reservations. Hopefully all of the rooms aren't taken by then. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Okay - better run. Stay warm and dry!! Think warm thoughts!! :beach:

PS - Kim....I hope your DH is feeling better!!

Holy Moly is it white outside
21.gif

I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked outside this morning
All I can say is........................BUMMER!!!!!!

:thumbsup2 I heard some garbled thing on the radio when it went off this morning about snow turning to rain, etc... Since I was 1/2 asleep I didn't think it was our area. I had heard what I *thought* was rain on the window so figured we were in the rain category. Until I got up and looked out the window. :scared1: The first thing out of mouth was "oh my". There is just something completely wrong about having to drag the snowpants/boots/hats/gloves out AFTER Easter! What is wrong with this picture? :lmao: My DD must have good intuition to tell me to not put her brother's winter stuff away just yet. I was thinking about it a couple weeks ago figuring they didn't need to be lugging their hats/gloves to school still! She told me to leave them. I'm so done with this weather but I'm too scared to put anyone's winter stuff away! I'll probably have it out until July just in case or something this year. :lmao:

Kim -- :grouphug: Glad to hear DH is on the mend, sounds like it will take a while though.

jax677 -- :welcome: I'm a stay at home mom of 4 kiddos. My kids are 13, 10, 6 & 3. The oldest is a girl & the rest are boys. My kids are in all sorts of activities. My DH is a computer tech ;) Seems like we have a lot of computer people on here. I sell Greeting Cakes but don't really advertise much so that's not very helpful. :lmao:

Good morning to all!!

I can't believe we woke up with this kind of weather. I mean, come on, snow in April???

Lissy heads off to college early on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and it always seems to be those days that have bad weather. I hate that she has to drive on the expressway to get there.

My closest friend in the world,we met when she was 4 and I was 5, had a baby 6 weeks ago and the little thing is still up there. I am heading up there in a bit to spend the day with here there. It is so hard on the whole family.

 :scared1: We've suddenly been launched back to February!!!!!!!!
What is up with this?!!!!!
The dog doesn't even want to stay out there.:rotfl2:
Bunchkin and Sam sure picked a great time to be outta here!!!!
Kids were having spring pictures today. I have opted not to have them taken. The whole idea behind a SPRING picture is to look springy. They also have soccer pix taken tomorrow, so I can't see spending an extra $50 with FunFair also this weekend. I'm tapped out!!!:rolleyes1

Mac, I was still looking at DL stuff later after I left our thread last night.:rotfl: And then I got a bright idea that I wanted to look at Fantasmic at DL vs. what we've known at WDW, so I then went to youtube to watch it. Needless to say, it was midnight before I went to bed!!:rotfl2:
I also discovered that I definately don't want to miss Fantasmic at DL this summer. We missed it there the last time we went and I didn't realize how different the 2 actually were. So it is on the must see list for this summer. (Along with the Nemo Subs, Mr. Toad and a few others that are different from WDW)

Slo, my friend wants to still go, but now we are looking at the end of Oct. I lose my chance for free dining if we'd gone early and a good discount price at the Swan/Dolphin if we'd gone slightly earlier. So it's a loss of funds on all fronts.:sad1: I hope they offer it again. Like that old saying, maybe next year.

Well, better get my day going. Kids are out the door. Time for my breakfast and shower. Later all.

Hersey,
I am right there with you. Ticket Stuffing!!! And I think I'll run out of raffle tickets and not be able to finish. Then it's poster creating and tomorrow brownie baking.
Kinda quiet here tonight.
Snow all melted here already, Mac.

GO CUBS!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you get nice, tolerable weather!

Kim -- :grouphug: Glad to hear DH is on the mend, sounds like it will take a while though.

 ALL!! Thanks for everything!!!! :grouphug:

Good morning all, I am new to this thread and wondered where you are all from. I live in the fox valley area. Anyone live near here. I have 3 kids, 5,7 and 14. It's nice to know there are other disney addicts in the area.:cool1:

OMG.........today is my last day at work:sad1: :)

Kevin is going to take me out to dinner tonight to celebrate my retirement. I have to figure out where I want to go - what do I have a taste for?:scratchin

geffric - I doubt they will do anything:sad2: Maybe I'll be surprised and my boss will buy me lunch - but I'm not counting on it :sad2:

mac - How's the weather been by you?

mvazul - How fun that you, your mom, and DSis are going to WDW:woohoo: :yay: You'll love that free dining - many of us where able to use that last year.

Becky - I haven't put away any winter stuff either:sad2: You just never know with this weather.

jax - Where does your DD go to school? What is she going to school for?
**I hope you had a nice visit with your friend :goodvibes

Tiggerrnnn - I hope they offer it again next year too. The one good thing about going in October, is that it may be less crowded for you. The last 2 years in Sept, with free dining, it was more crowded than in past years, when there was no free dining. You 2 will have so much fun!!!! :cool1:

Debbie - Unfortunately, it's no joke :cold:

HERSEY - How's your wrist feeling?

Kim - How's your DH doing today? I hope he is being a good patient.

Well, I must go get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!

Hi there!!!
We posted at the same time

Welcome to our very fun and happy thread!!!
Please come by often and visit - we would love to get to know you!!!:goodvibes

To answer your question - I am in NW Indiana.
I have 2 DD's that are the ages of 8 & 3
I have a DH that is an engineer by day, and when he's at home he's a volunteer fireman in our town.
I am currently going to my last day at work, and then I am blazing a new trail for myself (of which I will announce sometime soon).

You will really like here - we are an awesome group!!!!:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Umm...."fox valley area" are you meaning by Fox Valley mall or are you meaning "Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles" area? I've heard both referred to that way. :lmao: Although, I believe Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles are still considered the Tri-Cities too -- hard to tell with all the growth what we are called anymore!

I'm in Geneva.

:welcome:

Morning.. quick fly by to say hi..

I have my first PT today... hope it goes okay.. they told me yesterday that part of the issue was sitting at the 'puter all day.. :surfweb:

SLO hope they do something to recognise all of your hard work for so long.

be back later

Morning. Quick fly-by. Busy helping in DD class at school this morning, then to pick up the last batch of FunFair ticket orders and stuff some more, bake brownies and then it's off to load and unload the games at the school into a store room (only to have to move them into their proper rooms on Fri. night).
Posters were finished last night (early this AM). Still had some other ideas to add though.
Still feels like winter.:cold:
:mickeybar Bunchkin and Sam-hope you enjoy a few of these today.
:welcome: Poohlovermom. From the south south suburb here. Enjoy our thread. We are a happy helpful bunch.
Well, later all. Gonna run.

I hope everyone is doing well today.

My oldest is away at Eastern. She has one more semester left and then one semester of student teaching.

My youngest is going to comm. college for the first 2 years and then going away. She is at JJC( Joliet Junior College). I am just glad she is giving us a break.

We just bought our oldest a car for her upcoming graduation. We pay for the first 2 years and she pays for the rest.

We are going to do the same with the younger one.
Nobody told us you need a car when you go for teaching. Grrrrr!!!!

Oh, yes, and I have eaten 2 pieces of fudge for breakfast.
 What a great way to start a day.
