Becky - Did you get to see the Millenium Falcon? We were there on Sunday but didn't get to see it. We could get a ticket for 6:30 but weren't staying around the museum that long. We have a membership, too, and I agree on not having to stay from open to close each time. Sunday we did Star Wars, the trees, the
National Geographic maps, the circus and some I Spye.
Unfortunately, no -- we were *this* close to getting tickets but as we got toward the Millenium Falcon, they were just putting the sign up that they were out of tickets for the day. Oh well -- if I hadn't gotten that headache & had gone earlier we would have made it. It was not meant to be.
I do feel sorry for any new members now though because the exhibit is sold out through the rest of it's run. I know I was in the Member's lounge when someone was basically asking if the vouchers were no good & yep. That's basically what it boiled down to -- it is booked solid through the rest of the time.
Since this was our 2nd time through the exhibit we didn't stay as long as we did the 1st time through -- we skipped most of the interactive stuff except the hovercraft.
We did the Coal Mine (which was a trick because the Member Express entrance was blocked off, so I wasn't sure what to do. One employee said to just duck under the rope basically to get there, so we did!

), trains, plane, some of the Maps, the heart (I really don't like that exhibit but the kids always drag us up there, I've just seen it so many times I find it boring), the trees -- waited around for it to snow before we left.
Only the boys & I did the Star Wars while DD & DH did whatever it is they did, I know they continued in the Map exhibit and somewhere else I think.
I did get a free calendar as I was leaving though, so that was nice. They were handing them out due to the 75th anniversary which will be the next thing. I know they are closing after the Star Wars is over for about a week to get ready & then the rest of January is free days for everyone.
I don't know if we will be going back or not before our membership expires (we have until April). We got it mostly for the CSI exhibit that was there & the Star Wars one. So, we got our money's worth. Our next membership will be at the zoo this summer (we usually do 1 membership thing at a time) as no matter how we slice that when our whole family goes to the zoo, it's cheaper to buy a membership even if we don't go a 2nd time. I know DS-7 will be taking a zoo field trip next school year & I plan on being a chaperone, so the membership will come in handy.
Yesterday I had a tooth pulled and that was fun. NOT. I had to make it a challenge for the dentist -- apparently the tooth had fused to the bone, at least part of it, so he was having to earn his pay for this extraction. He said it was like removing shards of glass the way the tooth was. I'm feeling OK today but was told to take the pain relievers through today whether I need them or not because they are an anti-inflammatory also.
I could use some good vibes for tomorrow, I take DD in to Shriner's to get her back checked to see how it's doing (scoliosis). She has been out of her brace, which she's enjoying as they want her out for 48 hours to see how her spine is holding. I'm *soooo* nervous for this appointment as I think it's going to be a critical one in how we proceed.
Oh....by the way, I'm getting my e-mail notifications again.

I hope everyone else is too. Makes checking things much easier.
