I bought my DD that HSM REMIX DVD and now I am debating about taking it back. I thought it was a NEW movie but it seems to be the old one with just more stuff added in. WDYT?

I know DD wants the remix because of the extras that are on there. I really didn't think there was very much extra stuff on the original DVD. I thought they could have added a lot more. I haven't gotten her the remix but I have a hunch eventually she will get it. Since your one is younger, I might just take it back. I know in my case, no way would DD give it up. :rotfl2: She's obsessed with HSM as it is.

Just popping in to see what's going on :)

Sam - That's an awesome idea about the zuccinni in the meatloaf. I"m going to try that!!!:thumbsup2

Rose - I figured your kids would like the printer ::yes:: Stephanie loves printing stuff from the Playhouse Disney website.

macraven - You did wish Kevin a happy birthday ::yes:: That post you had yesterday mentioned everything - it was awesome!!! Thanks for Kevy's happy b-day wish!!!:goodvibes

Becky - I feel bad for your DD:guilty: I wouldn't like that brace either. Here's some PD to help her adjust to it:wizard:

Debbie - My kids have always been horribly picky eaters too (I feel your pain ::yes::). When it comes to sleeping, I am a real advocate of music and books on tape at night. Both my girls have a jambox next to their bed so they can listen to a book on tape at night or easy music to fall asleep too. I've always done this, and it always works great:thumbsup2 I think kids have a hard time falling asleep if there's to much quiet (like the quiet is loud - weird I know). When there's music or a book on tape, they have something to keep them company as they are drifting off into dreamland. If you have any questions, let me know.
**I'm sorry to hear the kids are sick:sick: and that you think you are getting sick too:guilty: I'm sending some getwell PD your way!!!:wizard:

Bunchkin - How did Hunters PT go?

The girls are making alot of noise:eek:
I better go check it out
Later gaters!!!! :wave2:

We do this too....every night after I read to her myself.:goodvibes
I agree with you 100%.

Oh... BTW Bunchkin...My DH is STILL dealing with his foot. You should see the bottles of drugs they have given him (a new one after each visit)! It is insane. He never takes them though because they are all such stong pain killers! Now they think it might be healing:confused3 and are waiting on surgery. My DH is still miserable though. Can't see how it is healing.

SLO- hello! we have started packing alot of stuff away that we don't really need out right now. We are excited about the move, February is coming fast. Katelyn will start pre-school in September 2007 in NC and Hayley will start day care, I finally get a break soon, LOL

2 sweet angels............keep posting pics of your littles.
they are cuties.

we have watched them for some time.
i can remember when you were pregnant with baby #2.

debbie, how are your kidlettes now?

i am assuming you are very busy playing mommy nurse as you aren't on to give us an update.

hang in there, hope they feel better real soon.

mickey mouse always says..........hope to see you REAL SOON. so i use his phrase a lot here.

Woo Hoo!!! DD must be feeling better. She made it from 10:30ish AM to 4:30 pm in her brace with only a small amount of complaining AND she asked to go to open gym tonight for gymnastics!!!

She has NOT felt like doing that at all even though they have had it available all week. So, YEAH!! That was nearly 6 hours straight in the brace. We are getting there. Maybe by a week we will have the awake hours down. I think it's going to take us a LOT longer for the sleeping in the beast thing down.

I do need to e-mail her gym teacher with the fact that she will probably be late getting to gym so she doesn't get tardy slips. Doesn't need to get a detention for 3 lates due to the brace. That would be so not fair! The nurse was supposed to e-mail all her teachers but I figure I need to cover my bases on that.

I did have to laugh because I was wondering who the team communicator was for her team -- they do it so you only contact 1 teacher when you have concerns and she spreads the information to all the teachers. I couldn't remember who it was this year. DD tells me "mom it's right on a note that's sitting right on your desk" I just saw it and I had been looking for a note from Parent's night. This note was a permission slip for them to go see a performance at Paramount Arts Theatre, so I didn't realize her information was sitting right there. :lmao: Oh well....I'm all so confused. By the time I get this middle school stuff figured out DD will be off to High School but that's OK, I'm sure I will be MORE than familiar with the middle school once the boys get there. I just feel weird contacting this person as my DD doesn't have her as a teacher at all. Although I think she might have been the cheerleading coach? OK...just double checked with DD and she was! So, now I know who it is and she knew I had taken DD into Shriners because that was picture day and I was going like a maniac to get her to that practice!!!

ok for the good morning friday homies:

Hey, I'm impressed, Mac! Good job :thumbsup2

I may have to write like you write, as when my kiddos go back to school next week, I have to get some major stuff done around the house.

Debbie- Sorry to hear you and the kids are sick  Hope you all feel better soon :wizard:

SamIAm- Hope you will be able to get Tuesday off of work :) Do you work for the state or federal government?they always get a ton of days off for state and fed. holidays.

Hi Amy and KimRaye :wave2:

Hi to everyone else I missed :wave2:

Have a good holiday weekend everyone, as I won't be here tomorrow.

Becky- glad your dd is doing better in the brace :thumbsup2
I wouldn't rely on the school nurse to email the teachers about your dd back brace. I know at our school, sometimes communication isn't always that great, so you should probably email the teachers yourself. Just a wise thought, as I am always emailing my kids' teachers, etc throughout the years, as I know no one gets the communication out except from me most of the time. :)

Have a good weekend everyone

Hi all - I'm killing some time while the girls dinners are cooking (frozen dinner = nutrious:rotfl2: ) Kevin is making fajitas, and they wouldn't have any part of that:sad2:

Debbie - Reading yourself is the best, no doubt about it (I do that too), but the book on tape or music is for after you leave the room. My girls can't fall asleep w/o it:sad2:

Amy - I'm glad you are excited about the move and the packing is going well. Don't forget to say goodbye before you leave :wave2:

Becky - That's great that your DD wore her backbrace that long. She'll get more and more used to it as time goes on:wizard:

mac - :wave2:

Rose - :wave2:

Well, I'm off to check on the girls gormet dinners - LOL!!!
Have a good night!!!! :wave2:

Good evening everyone. It's been a long time since I posted last. For all of you with sick kids I feel for you as both of mine were sick through the holiday and I am now the one with the terrible head cold. Hope we all recover soon. Jedi, glad to hear you spent the holidays with your DH. Hope you can continue to communicate and put things back together.
Slo, glad you had a good Christmas. DD and DS had a wonderful holiday and are actually playing some of their new games TOGETHER. They got UNO attack and Operation and a bunch of POKEMON cards (which are apparently all the rage at school again.) We also got Disney Monopoly which I hope to break open after dinner.
Bunchkin, nice to hear you also had a nice holiday. Hopefully you and Hunter are benefitting from your therapies and mending quickly.
Becky sorry your DD is having a time adjusting to her brace. Just keep reminding her of its benefits in the long run. It's hard for kids.
Our holidays were nice in spite of illness. Dniece was home from the hospital, just doing outpt therapy for speech and Occuptational therapy now. We hope she will get back to school by the end of January. The school is not making her make up her missed work. They will just take her grades from where they were and go on from here. So far, she is doing well cognitively. They are currently testing her at therapy to make sure she can keep up.
DMIL went to docs this week and they are all still cautiously optimistic about her thumb. They rest of her arm is healing nicely. They will check again in 2 weeks on the healing process.
Rosemarie, sorry you felt we missed the boat. Hopefully, your DD is staying healthy and so will the rest of your family. Ours just seems to keep passing it on through. DH started it and I am the last to catch it. This weekend should be interesting as I have to work 12hours the next 3 days straight. I refuse to call in sick for a cold.
As far as paying for trips to WDW-I have a credit union through work and I have them deduct $50 from each check and have been doing that since my DD was born for the purpose of vacation saving. Since most of our vacations are spent visiting relatives and friends on either coasts, we generally don't have the expense of lodging (just food and fun). We drive out east to visit DSIL and Dniece and then stay with them. When we went to DL in California, we stayed with friends who live only 20 minutes away. We also have never been without our children for a vacation. I have always been a little afaid to go away without them for fear of something happening either to us or them while we are gone. Have you ever wondered who would take care of your kids if you weren't around anymore? The thought makes me shiver. I don't think I could do it, even if someone volunteered, not that anyone would.
Anyways, you as an RN could very easily work registry at a hospital one night a week while your DH was home with the kids and make more than enough money in a year to take a nice vacation. That is the nice thing about nursing. I work 2 12 hour shifts a week and make a nice income. Plus, I am home during the school week with the kids. Check out the agencies and registries in the hospitals near you.
OK well, better get my kiddies some leftovers for dinner tonight.
Hope you all have a great NEW YEAR!!!! This will probably be my last post til 2007!!! Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers for my family this past month. I know that has helped them along.
You are all thought of fondly as friends. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.
And for those of you leaving soon for WDW---Have a great time and bring back some sun and warm weather for the winter snowbirds left behind here!!!

it is after 2..........and all green lights are out.

now i can catch some zzzzzzzzzz's....

tiggern, hope you feel better real soon.
good to hear from you, sorry about the sickies.........:grouphug:

Hi everyone!!!

We are going to downtown Chicago today, to walk around, and look at the Christmas decorations before they take them down. I think going to The Disney Store will be one of our stops;)

Last night we watched PoTC2 and we really enjoyed it :thumbsup2 It was long, but the time went by fast for me ::yes:: The one thing that I can say about it is........they left it wide open for a 3rd ::yes:: Now correct me if I'm wrong, for all that have seen it, didn't the captain in the first one die when Captain Jack shot him? How did he come back at the end of the 2nd one? Did I miss something? I must have.

Rose - I did have a very good night, thanks!!!! :)

Tiggerrnnnn - I'm so sorry to hear of all the sickness in your home:guilty: I'm going to send over LOADS of PD your way for you all to feel better soon:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
**I'm so glad that your niece is home from the hospital, that is great news!!! How is your MIL doing?

Mac - Up til 2am :faint: There's no way I could do that:sad2: I'm always amazed I can stay up until midnight on NYE

Have a good day!!!! :wave2:

Good morning everyone. I'm taking a beather from my New Years prep purge. I have the car loaded after Alex gets some breakfast off to drop off our stuff in St Charles. Then back to attack the basement monsters. Why did we buy a place with a basement?

I need to go shopping for a new shredder mine is not shredding. The garbage men are not going to like me this week.:rotfl:

Talk to you all later. I need to rescue my house from all of our years accumulation of stuff. I need organization. :faint:

Leigh - Have a safe trip to Indy!!!!
And....Happy 2007 to you too!!!!!

HERSEY - Good luck with the basement - that's always such a big project :faint: We have a storage area in our basement that needs so much attention. You are inspiring me to clean that when I come home from WDW.:)

I'm just going to visit my friend and her family for New Year's. No other real occasion. :goodvibes

Leigh Hows the house coming? It should be ready some right?

About a week ago I saw it and it had glass in the windows and a roof. I think next will be the brick siding. :thumbsup2

Ok, and I think it was geffric who was asking about the multi-quote thing. What you need to do is, look for the Multi-Quote this Message button down in the lower right-hand corner of a post. Click on it for whatever messages you want, and then click on quote in one of the posts. It will then quote all the messages that you chose, like it did for me here. And I tested what would happen if you went back to different pages, and it did work. :thumbsup2 It's awesome!
