good evening chicagoland homies.

first things first.

a very happy birthday to bunchkin and sam I am.


my birthday smilies that i usually use are on the hard drive of my dead computer so this was the best i could come up with.

i read that the dis boards would be going down after 5 pm on friday for 24 to 48 hours....heard there would be upgrades down.

i'll have to check the cb threads in case this changes tomorrow.


in answer to the questions.
heard from son and its not good.

computer in at the dealer as of 3 today but they don't know if they can do all the transfers of my old hard drive to the new one by saturday. they are way backed up.

have not shopped for any christmas presents yet.

did buy scrotch tape in case i do get out to buy presents.

did buy some cards to send out.
will do that on christmas day writing out and mail on tuesday.
i'll write on them it's for 07

house is junked and sure do wish it would get cleaned.


other than that, i'm ok.


if the boards go down like it was mentioned before, wishing you and your families the best christmas ever....

Over the holiday weekend we will be upgrading the boards to the latest version of the VBulletin software. This upgrade will involve major downtime for the boards. I will be bringing them down around 5pm on Friday and it will take 24 to 48 hours to upgrade them.
The new VBulletin has a host of exciting new features, this should really make the boards a better place for all of us.

Hopefully none of us will have too much major withdrawal.

I plan on going to see Night at the Museum today if all goes well which involves the mall. It's during the day so maybe all the last minute shoppers won't be there yet.

I have been sitting here since 7:30 am making this wonderful post for a half hour and I hit one button and it's gone

Hi all- Happy Friday!
Chrissy has been sick the last 12 hours or so. She was spitting up mucus from dinner last night and she vomitted on her beadspread early this morning.
She still isn't feeling well this morning Guess we are staying home today. We were thinking about going to DH's work for their work x-mas party today, but Chrissy being sick and raining out, not a good day to go anywhere.
I'm hoping DH will get out a little early from work today, but I doubt that will happen, as it is always busy at his work!

Well, at least we went out yest. We joined my mom for lunch yest at Applebee's. Then I went with the kids to the dollar store yest to buy gift tags, tape. Then went to Home Depot to buy our last gift card for a family member.

Yes it is official, Cirque Du Soleil is definitely perfoming at my church for 10 Christmas Eve services!!
Saw a write-up in the Daily Herald on it yest. Can't wait to be there on Sunday!! Hope Chrissy is much better by then. You're welcome to all that is going to watch it on tv late Sunday night!

Oh well glad I made it in here to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and just in case we aren't back up and running --- Happy New Year! I hope Alex knows what he's doing. Invision board... well, I've been on better running boards! Let's just be grateful he's not moving us to EZBoard, that could be very scary! Well, I have to go clean! I've been slouging all day and now I have to to work. I have about three hours before DH gets home and realizes I've been slackin all day long! Ha!

Hi all-
Merry Christmas!!
Just got on, been checking once in a while the past day or so, if the boards were back up.
Update on Chrissy: she is doing 100% better today!! She had been vomitting since Thurs night all the way til Sat morning. Vomitting up thick, yellow mucus. I know, kinda gross. Tried to get her into the doc yest, but they were triple booked with sick appts. and wouldn't take Chrissy in!
I talked to the ped nurse and asked if Mucinex would help Chrissy. They said yes. DH had bought a bottle of it and we gave Chrissy a dose. She has been doing a 100% better after getting a couple doses of Mucinex. The doc called us yest. afternoon and said to continue the Mucinex. No antibiotics needed, since she wasn't running a fever.
Today Chrissy is doing 100% better and we were able to make it to church service this afternoon!
Kinda glad the boards were down in a way. I was able to fullly concentrate on Chrissy and getting her better.

The kids can't wait til Santa shows up!!
