So, we're here resting in the hotel. We still went to the concert tonight that we came here for, and we'll be back in Chicago on Thursday. I can't imagine I'll get any sleep tonight. I'll probably stay up watching him. It was the scariest thing I've gong through. :guilty:

I somehow missed this in my fast scan of the posts. I sure hope all is well!!

Could it be any windier? Holy moly!!!! Cold and windy in Morris today. :cold:

In my office here in Chicago, I kept hearing sounds like when the Blue Angels would practice for the air show. I was wondering if there were jets flying, and then I realized it was the wind!

Hey, did you see what's going on in your future state of residence!!!!
NC that is. Is your friend OK? Hopefully no where near the tornadoes.

AUNTY EM!
AUNTY EM!
IT'S A TWISTER!!!!!!!!!

I blew all the way to work, and then I blew all the way home

Now I'm home to stay!!!! :teeth:

I'm currently heating up some mostaccholi (sp?) in meat sauce from our local meat store - I'm hoping it will be good. I will also make some garlic bread to go with it :)

Have a good night everyone!!!

Hey, everyone! We're back safe and sound in Chicago - but did I miss something with the weather? :confused3 Our original flight at 1:30 was cancelled so we got on an earlier flight standby and we were not seated together which did not make me happy because I wanted to sit with Toby after what happened on the way there :sad2:

But, we got home fine, and I took a long nap and just woke up. I could sleep more, but I gotta watch my shows tonight :teeth: DH's crazy - he's going to stand in line at Target tonight to try to get a Playstation 3. When the PS2 came out, he was in line, up front and someone came and offered $1000 for their place in line. But DH was really wanting the PS2, so he didn't offer his spot. Now, I think he's hoping that'll happen again :rotfl2:

We go see the doctor tomorrow morning, so I'm glad about that. And another DIS-er pointed out that there was thread on the boards about passing out on airplanes, and it doesn't seen as uncommon! Sheesh.

New York is fun, but I'm really glad I'm home. I really do love Chicago :cloud9:

I hope everyone's doing well. And keeping warm - NY was a lot warmer. Thank you so much for all the kind thoughts, hugs, prayers, pixie dust, etc. I love this thread and all my Chicago pals

Welcome home Carmen!!!!

I"m glad to see you both made it home safe and sound.

Good luck at the doctors tomorrow - please keep us posted what the doctor says - we will always be here for you because we love ya too  :grouphug:

Have a good night!!!

Carmen--I hope your DH has good luck standing in line tonight. People have been lining up for 2 days now, the news shows them with there tents and everything. I also hope everything goes well at the Dr's tomorrow :wizard:

Jedi So glad you and Tobi are home safe and sound. Hopefully he won't freeze and does come home with the playstation 3. Alex is eyeing the Wii system but I'm not standing in any line. I love him but not that much :rolleyes1

Nite0wl71 How are you handling the "big move"

I'm glad the wind died down. I put out my garbage last night and this morning I was busy picking it up before work. This evening I had to go get my can from the neighbors yard.

I remember when I worked downtown and having to cross Wacker Dr, my girlfiriends and I would hook arms so not to blow away. This was we weighted 100 lbs collectively. :teeth: Oh the memories.

Welcome home, Carmen! :grouphug:

Good luck at the doctor! I'll be looking for an update.

welcome back homie carmen.
so glad you checked in and gave us a heads up.

i went to target in waukegan this evening before i went to Bible study at my church.
people are lined up in folding chairs and blankets along the target entrance wall outside. and, these were not just young people. some had to be in their 60's.......i counted 21 people there.

if my son in mexico wanted one of those playstation 3 things, i would have been in that wait line at target yesterday.
haven't heard from him but i did buy a ticket for him. he just doesn't know it
if i don't hear from him soon, i will have to change the date on it. of course, the $100 change fee will hurt but that's how it goes.

carmen, keep us posted about toby. :grouphug:

My dad and uncle went to the University of Florida, and they call each other during the football games on Saturdays. We got a call last night from my uncle saying that Emmitt Smith won DwtS, because I guess he went to Florida! My uncle said they were all voting for him, I guess just because of that!
Gotta LOVE LOYALTY, Leigh! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: (Kelly & I re-watched the finals and results show tonight :ssst: , fast-forwarding of course thru the 'other' stuff'. Tour Tics CAME TODAY!!! Matt was the only one around to scream at!!!! :rotfl: I'M SO excited we're going!!!) :woohoo:
