Good morning all! And what a chilly morning it is too. I took DbF to the train this morning and my windows were so fogged I thought it might have been frost. I am NOT ready for scraping season yet

Mac: Congrats on your team making it to the world series. Did you watch the game? I had choir so I missed it but got the results this morning. yummy about culvers. It is a shame there are none close to me, but I do enjoy those butterburgers and custard!

Bunchkin: about your comment to your DH. My dad went completely silver at 30 and has never dyed his hair. I used to tease him when I was little. He has white hair and his nose is always red. Just put him in a red suit and who do you get?

Eeyore: good luck to your DD! I hope she makes the squad! I was a cheerleader when I was 5-it was like a day camp thing. I had a great time and I'm sure your DD will too!

Slo: So you have been to that orchard! I love those donuts, at least what I got to experience anyway. This last time I was there i wanted to get some but the line was way out past the caramel apples (so cool you can watch them making them!) and around into the gift shop. It was insane! Needless to say I had to pass up the donuts. I was very dissapointed.

Rose great news about Chrissy. What a relief for you and your DH. I am glad she is healthy and holding her own. Do you think she will need surgery later on?

Mac dinner sounds wonderful. it is always better to start with dessert cause then your not to full and it tastes better.. I am working from home today, so maybe I should swing by Culvers and have a turtle sundae too.

A culver's meet is a great idea.. Anytime..

Bunchkin.. you are brave .. my Dh would have had a fit. I am getting gray too when they roots grow out I am so gray it's scarey..

eeyore when I was coming back from the Y this morning, I had noticed that it was 6:45 and still dark YIKES.. Of course when we turn the clocks back it will be dark at 4 pm..

Good Morning all!!

Today is the 1st Brownie meet of the school year for our troop. We are working on a patch that involves food! YEAH!!!
At least it's healthy food....FRUIT!
We're making baked cinnamon apples and fruit salad, and then recipe books. And from one of my room moms at school, I got a recipe for making your own fall crayon from bits of old crayons. I just hope it doesn't permanently ruin my muffin pan that we have to bake them in.

And Lauren is officially celebrating her birthday at school today, since we weren't here for the actual day itself. So I need to run out for treats and drop them off.

slo Sorry to hear that the pumpkin farm wasn't that fun! I chaperoned a field trip when Lauren was in preschool, and we went to a pumpkin farm that was so muddy and just really hard to walk around.
At least we won't have that at our pumpkin meet, everything is paved!!! They even have pumpkins in a paved area. They do have a pumpkin patch though, if you want to go out and pick one up from there.
I hope Stephanie has fun at the fun fair!!
I have a lot of grey too! And boy is it showing right now! I need to get in and get my hair colored SOON!!

Kim I hope you and the kids have a great time at dinner!

geffric My DH has a great sense of humor! He gave me the 'look' and then laughed about it too.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the Disney outlet mall. the only Disney Stores I am personally familiar with is the one in Woodfield mall and Stratford Square mall- the regular Disney stores. I'm sure there are others here that can answer your question better.

Thanks Slo, Geffric, Hersey, Mac, Becky, KimRaye for the well wishes with Chrissy's MRI results It means alot to me!

Do you think she will need surgery later on?

Geffric- Yes, she will, unfortunately. We were told when she was born, within the first 24 hr of her birth, that she will need subsequent surgeries to relace the conduit as she grows. She has a human tissue conduit now. Maybe at her next surgery or the one after, she may have a mechanical conduit. Her last surgery was at 18 months old. Her ped. card. surgeon put in a huge conduit that will last her a few yrs.The conduit does not grow with hte heart, so multiple surgeries to replace the conduit. Tho we have been blessed that she hasn't has as many surgeries so far as we once thought. Why we had to get the MRI done, to get the measurents of hte conduit, blood flow, etc. Sorry if I'm getting technical here Thanks for asking, geffric


Mac- We defintely need a Culver's meet I maybe going to one near you on Sunday Nov 5. Meeting up with my friend's son birthday, the Culvers in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Not sure if we are doing Culver's that day or Chucky Cheeses by Great America yet.

Becky- Hope your dd's cold gets better Hope all goes well with cheerleading tryouts

I've got a Cub Scout den activity to take Matthew after school today.
Tomorrow, Matthew has the rocket derby for Cub Scouts. Not as big of a thing as the Pinewood Derby.

Hi Everybody.
I'm back home ! Arrived back in Chicago last night and already can feel the WDW blues setting in.
The trip was FABULOUS to say the least. The weather was perfect , we hit a billion things (I actually lost 5 pounds from all the running around....and that was even on the dining plan!),no major snafoos, and everyday was MAGICAL!
I hope all of you are doing well and were doing good while I was gone. I will have to go back a few pages and read up on what all my new friends have been up to.

Matthew did win best craftmenship on his car last yr, but we didin't go to district. Shhhhh we used a pre-made wood for the car. They have the pre-made cars at Hobby Lobby now
