Hi all- :wave2:
Will be busy today and tomorrow. My kids have a half day of school today, they get off before lunch. Then we go back this afternoon for their student/ parent/ teacher conferences.
Tomorrow they are off of school, oh joy  . I have a doctor's appt for Chrissy set up for her physical, for her pre-op for her MRI next week. Her heart MRI is scheduled at Children's Memorial hosp.next Thurs Oct. 12. She will have to be under general anesthesia for it, thus I call it pre-op ;) .
Kinda wish I was going to WDW instead! :guilty:

hi all! long time no chat. I've been busy. I had surgery a week ago and am attempting to get my life back on track here. I'm also busy organizing the Wicked meet! Quick question for you all: does anyone know the scoop about Disneykat and eeyore45? Are they both at Disney? does anyone know for how long?
Hi Mindy :wave2:
Hope you are doing well from your surgery :wizard: What kind of surgery did you have, if it's ok to ask?

I don't know who Disneykat is :confused3
Eeyore45 I think is still at WDW. Don't know when she'll be back, tho, as the 2nd half of our thread should be coming home soon from WDW.
Hope this helps.

Hi to latharia :wave2:

That stinks!! I had a bit long post ready & decided to take out part of it, somehow ended up removing the entire thing. UGH!

Anyway, I just wanted to say I   all the pictures!!!

We haven't been doing much here. Today is 1/2 day (no conferences though), then a long weekend. Kids have dentist appointment tomorrow & Tuesday is DD's back appointment.

I got a new cell phone yesterday so have been playing the "what does this button do" game with it. It's a pretty basic phone though.

I also am pretty excited because I got some toothpaste for my 6 year old that he will actually use!!! He has oral sensory issues and we have tried everything in the store and he refused to use any of it. I just got him using a brush by using a spin brush (so he has just been using water, figured it was better than nothing). I got desperate and started looking for food flavored toothpaste because I figured I couldn't be the only person in the world with a child like this (although I'm starting to wonder! :rotfl2: ), I found a place that sells ones that are basically scent infused rather than flavored. They have 31 different types, I got banana, cola & chocolate. I'm excited because he actually used them, he wasn't overly thrilled but he didn't go kicking screaming gagging clamping down fit, his response to them were "it's OK" -- I'll take it! I will spend a million dollars on his toothpaste since it's expensive for a very small tube but you do what you have to do. If anyone is interested it's http://www.breathpalette.com/

We plan on going out Halloween costume & birthday supply (my little guy turns 3 on the 16th) shopping this weekend.

Slo Alex's birthday is Oct 11.

Princess Mindy pixiedust: For a speedy recovery. Hopefully it wasn't anything to serious.

Ok I have to ask did anyone watch LOST last night? I was expecting a few answers but noo. Just more questions.

Becky2005 My friend's son has sensory problems. He is getting a lot better since his is a little older (8). He has had a lot of Occupational therapy.

Hope your son gets better at managing it soon. pixiedust:

I watched it. There's ALWAYS more questions, imo. Creative, imaginative writers, if you ask me. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone! I'm still alive. I've just been really busy, between school and the kids...you know how it goes. I loved seeing all your pics, though.
hersey- I watched Lost on ABC.com. I love that show! For everybit of info they give you, you have two more questions.
Welcome to all the newcomers to this thread!

Okay I gotta go back to work... talk to ya later..

GOOD MORNING....
Oh, this is so fun for me to meet all af you!!!! :cool1:
I love  checking my emails from my favorite thread! It is definitely a small world....for some of us VERY small. :grouphug:
I mean, who would have thought I could see some of you guys in 5 minutes! Keep me informed with all the DIS meet stuff. I would love to meet you guys in person and talk WDW!!!
I can't believe my trip is in less then a week. :hourglass
I feel so guilty :guilty: because we are having my son's first birthday party on Sunday October 8th and I can't wait until the party is over to go on the trip!!
I know, bad Mommy.
I am looking more forward to him actually turning one in WDW on the 12th!! party:

This trip is a big one (still trying to figure out how I am going to pay for it). :confused3

We just upgraded to the DDP after sitting down and looking at our reservations and the doing the math.

Did I mention along with my son's birthday we are celebrating my parents 40th anniversary there (on the 15th)? That's our excuse for going overboard on this one.

SLO....I would love for or DD's to meet.
KIM..... still can't believe the coincidence!

You guys are all so nice and I will eventually figure out who everyone is.

And lastly, I was just curious....who's DH's have been sprinkled with the pixie dust pixiedust: and who's have been missed. I think my husband get's a little residue after each trip and hopefully we will have him completely converted one of these days! :tinker:

I got the cheapest one I could -- free is good. :rotfl2: It's a Verizon one I think PN-210. It's not a camera phone, it basically dials & has a screen. :rotfl2: My DH has a camera phone and he has no clue how to use 99% of his phone features and he's had it almost 2 years. The one thing I do miss and didn't realize, so maybe some other time, is that on DH's it has a screen on it for when it's closed (maybe it has to be a camera phone for this feature?) but when it rings he can see who is calling before flipping the phone open. Mine, you have to flip it open to even see the screen, so to even know who's calling you have to open it first. It's OK, I don't really have a huge need for a phone so it will work for us.

I actually have one for DD too (SHHH!!!) it will be for Christmas for her (unless she happens to make cheerleading squad then it might be earlier -- with staying after school, etc...). I got her the same generic one I have. I wanted something really, really, really basic for her and I didn't need anything fancy, so it was offering the phones for free, with free shipping & activation.

Although even with it really, really basic there are still tons of settings and things it can do and I still don't know all of the ins & outs of it.

:rotfl2: Mine was missed...I think he was in a completely different building when they were handing it out. I have a link to our first family trip in my signature. The funny thing is though that I have suggested me just taking the kids and he doesn't like that idea either, so he keeps talking about what he wants to do next time (basically says fish & eat). :rotfl2: We stayed in the Contemporary though and he definitely says he wants to stay "in that one with the red roofs we saw" next time -- the Grand Floridian! :rotfl2:

I thought I'd share where we are eating next week if you don't mind humoring me....

Cindy's Castle breakfast (in honor of DD princess: )
Cindy's Castle dinner (My Son's 1st birthday) :cake:
Crystal Palace dinner(never been here)
Donald's breakfast (never tried this one) :donald:
Cape May dinner (never tried this one either) :beach:
Concourse Steak house (yep, another new choice)
Citricos (My parent's Anniversary)
Garden Grill Lunch (new to this one too)
Mitsukoshi dinner (Uncle's favorite)

I think that's it...YIKES! :faint: This is why we upgraded to DDP. This is also why I will need to get a job to pay off this trip :crazy2: .
OH BOY! Thank God I used the Disney Visa and have 6 months no interest to pay this baby off! :hourglass
Maybe I should play the lottery???
Hope you don't mind me sharing......
Any opinions or suggestions....

PS I really just posted this so I could play around with the "smileys"......

I am going crazy with football and X country and scouts here plus work and all the other Mom stuff. ( although maybe not going as i am still crazy after all these years..) DH has been out of town and I have been picking up and dropping off and going to scout meetings and downtown to work with the best of them.. Tonight Geoff has X country , then he comes home and showers and I have to drop him off at the pasta party at 5:30, and pick him up between 8 and 9. He has to pack for a scout camping trip at Camp Lakota in Woodstock. Tomorrow he leaves early for a meeting in Aurora, i pick him up at 10ish and drop him off at the scout thing about 1 1/2 hours away. Meanwhile , Eric has Football practice tonight at a field way cross town at 5:15 - 6:30 or 7:00. Then tomorrow he has an ortho appt..

Plus I am meeting firneds for dinner sat night, Eric is babysitting himself for a few hours unless I can find a friend to take him, then Sunday is my fathers tombstone dedication at 11 ( about 1 hour away in the opposite direction in Skokie by old orchard ) , Eric football game at 3 in Prospect Hts, but he has to be there at 2, then after the game ( about 5ish) the team is going out for pizza and a movie. Plus I need to pick up Geoff sometine from the scout thing, unless I can get him a ride..

Monday the kids have off shool, Eric wants to go to Great America, hopefully Tyler's Mom can drop them off; Geoff has to be at an OA thing at 11 in Mt Prospect. I am picking up Eric and Tyler from GA, hoping Geoff can get a ride home. Then we have scouts on Monday night..

Debbie6221 I have teenagers so we love buffets..

We love Cape May, and Crystal Palace. We do both on every trip. Donals Breakfast is good, but a typical breakfast buffet. Have fun..
