Hi Guys

I'm putting the finishing touches on my packing. Of course, Comcast picked today to give us problems again (well, in addition to yesterday ) when I was trying to print out maps and boarding passes. But everything turned out ok. I just need to finish charging up my camera batteries and some things like that.

I'll try to post something from DL. I think I'll have a little time because the park closes at 8pm every night.

Everyone that's going to WDW, have a great time! I want to hear all about it when you come back!

And everyone that's still in Chicago, hold down the fort for us.

Rmom, i'm actually sleeping better than i have in weeks!!! DH and i have been going to bed around 10 and we still get up at 4, but it's GREAT i think having the packing out of the way and we are just eager for another day to get here!!

I'm so excited! I'm all ready to go!!!!! I've been looking at menus. There are some places where my dad can get chili and meatloaf. He likes that kind of thing. I'm looking forward to getting another Monte Cristo sandwich. DEEP FRIED SANDWICH!!! Yum! Can't pass that up! But it's huge, so my mom and I will share. When I got it last year I only ate about half. They have an all cheese version now. I can't decide if I'll get that one (since I love cheese) or the other one, which I loved last year. It has, I think, turkey and ham (I don't like ham, but it wasn't really noticable.) along with cheese. I'm thinking the all-cheese might be too much. Is it 4pm yet?

It's at Disneyland at Blue Bayou (where I had it last year) and Cafe Orleans, both in New Orleans Square. They recently redid the restaurants. Blue Bayou, which overlooks the loading area for PotC and thus really cool for that reason, is now more expensive than it used to be. They still have the MC at lunch like they used to, but now it's a few bucks more expensive.

Le Special de Monte Cristo - Turkey, ham and Swiss cheese in a battered egg bread, lightly fried to a golden brown $18.99

Now Cafe Orleans has it as well, at lunch and dinner.

Monte Cristo - Sliced turkey, ham and Swiss cheese in a light batter, fried and served with berry puree $14.99

Three-Cheese Monte Cristo - Swiss, mozzarella and double creme Brie in a light batter, fried and served with berry puree $14.99

So it's cheaper to go there. So I'm trying to decide where to eat, since I'd like to do BB but really like the food overall better at CO. I'm thinking maybe we'll eat at CO and try to do dessert at BB, just so my parents can see it. That's my tentative plan. That's if BB has any openings, it can be all booked up. Can you tell I'm obsessed right now???

Hello Everyone!!!

Been busier than a bee here!!

We're almost ready to go!! Just a few days left now!!!

Some Bad news though.....

Due to our business booming lately, there now is a big rush for DH to complete 2 houses that are scheduled to close and because of that DH WILL NOT be going to WDW with us!!!
We haven't told the kids yet. In fact DH just found this our last night. It's either he stays home to finish the work or looses the jobs to someone else to finish and the $$. This is not an option.
Both of us are soooo mad and depressed and upset about it!
I have no idea how we are going to tell the kids that Dad is not coming with on vacation.
He is going to miss Lauren's b-day too!!!!!!!!
She is going to be so upset!!!!


This is just the worst thing that could have happened to us!!!

I'm going to try and still make it fun for the kids. I have a lot of suprises planned for them.
I know they will miss their dad tremendously though.
They have only spent a handfull of nights away from him.

I am dying inside. Mr Bunchy is the biggest WDW fan!! He is really going to miss a good time, and he knows it. He is so mad and upset!!!!

He's going to try and get the work done, the only problem is the house closing, one of us has to be at the bank to sign off on it. So even if he gets done early, he might have to still stay behind.

Yes, luckily the kids are older. No diapers and the like, and both can get around just fine. I just worry about how busy it will be and for one of them to wander off from me. My mind is already spinning and thinking the worst!!!

I too would worry about the wandering!!! But once you get there, it will be magical!! Mr. Bunchy should send a long a letter and a 'special' present secretly through you to give to Lauren on her b-day

DMMichelle: The secret to sleep is getting the packing done! I guess I better get it started then. Did get the suitcase out of the attic. Also found out today that I can now take my purell & sunscreen etc. on the plane with me - this is a major big deal for me! Rules are changing TOMORROW! I like being able to carry my bag on the plane and now I can. Sooooooooo excited!

Bunchkin: So sorry about the husband having to work . You'll have to let the kids call him a lot! That's what I do when I get homesick. It's so much easier now that everyone has a phone. I can nag mine from afar! tee hee. no really.

What a bummer! Lauren sounds a lot like Megan. She misses Dad while we're away too, but I let her call him everyday and tell him everything we did! He likes that too. It's like he's there, but he doesn't have to be. Remember, my DH is the anti-Disney.

I can't imagine how disappointed you are and how disappointed the kids will be!

Bunchkin I hope things work out and DH can go down later and meet up with you all. I worried the first time we went too by ourselves. I showed Alex who were the CM's and he had a cell phone with him too. We never even got close to getting separated.
