Good Tuesday morning everyone!!! :sunny:

With the boards down this morning was unable to catch up :guilty: I only have a few seconds now because I have to take Katie to her first day back at daycare. Stephanie is already gone to her first day back at school :teacher:

Today I have my appointment for that biopsy. I gotta tell you all, I'm nervous about what the results are going to show. I wish I could get results instantly, but that is unrealistic.

I will try to catch up later. Until then

morning all!!! :wave2:

let's see......i'm TIRED the kids were up at 5AM!!! what on EARTH is there to do at 8?? and of course Gabriel is asleep already  and Autumn is playing in the sand box on the balcony right here, but she's rubing her eyes already! We have a small tomato plant on the balcony (it grows cherry tomatoes) and Autumn was picking them off of there and dipping them in the water of the sand/water table and then EATING THEM :rolleyes1: she's CRAZY that one! hahah!!!

Michelle....that one we had here was HORRIBLE! Don't you remember it? It was on E. State by the Osco (across from Bally). Oh....ew.....ew. ew.... dirty isn't the word. Maybe it was just at the end, but I still have bad memories of it. DH loved it. Can't remember why. Probably cheap beer

:sad2: i don't remember that at all, but we've only been in Rockford just short of 2 yrs. i stay far away from E. State once you get past Mulford. We go to Best Buy instead of the Circuit City down there and we do Target and everything we need is right over here ::yes::

Last night I just laid around watching TV and eating all kinds of junk food--ice cream, chocolate covered cashews, chips etc

I don't like caramel either except in Snickers

sounds like a successfull evening!! :teeth:

Rosemarie, my mom is headed to London today! she's going for a colleagues wedding and then she will do the sights there and off on the Eurostar to Belgium and Paris and see sights there and then the full blown European Eurostar thing to see everything she wants to do! i can't wait until she gets back!! although i'm sure she is hoping the week goes by slower!! ::yes::

/
ANTSS, thanks for the info! i caught a thread about it on the Budget board! ::yes:: since it was free shipping i just ordered 2 pins. :teeth:

Sandy, hope all goes well at the Drs today!

Everyone else i hope you have a GREAT tuesday!!!!

OKAY how come when i wet the sand and put it in the pail and turn it over it still looks NOTHING like a castle???? :sad2: how do those people make those elaborate ones and i cannot even make a little round bump!?!?!? i guess sculpting sand is not in my cards! Autumn took the bucket away from me!!! i think she's disappointed!! :rotfl:

Good Morning everyone. Finally, a day of staying home-except for the weekly trip to the library. DS wanted to know last night if all our fun days were over!! :rotfl: Because we never do anything fun at home don't you know.
I think next week I will take the Metra downtown and go to TDS, AG Place and Navy Pier. or maybe museums. One last big day for them before school starts. Would love to go to the Shedd but $$$$$
DMM hope all goes well for your mom.
Sandy, I hope your biopsy gives good results.
Bunchkin, hope you are doing well today. Has DD leg healed? My DD elbow is taking its' sweet time about healing up as well. I'm sure the pool water hasn't helped.
Still waiting for airfare. Could go to Fort Lauderdale for $54 each way today with a ding. At least SW is getting fares into Oct. now. Just need to hope for Orlando.
Well, hope you all have a good day. Guess I need to catch up now a little on all my :laundy: and housework. 3 days in a row of being gone have caught up with me. :rolleyes1

Hey Shoppers:

I guess I missed out on all the chocolate last night! Darn! :guilty: I need some advice from y'all. We have a corner lot with a house behind us to the west and a house next to us to the north. There are teenagers in both houses. They use my yard as a walkway between the two houses. It's not just the kids from those houses, that we know, but all their friends too. So, this year, we got tough and started asking them to walk around the block rather than through our yard. Well we got called names and they flipped us the bird, so we put up a small fence blocking some of their access. Well, now they have just found a new route through our yard. Some of these teens are like 19 years old. They play very loud horrible lyric rap, they use foul language constantly and I'm often afraid to leave Megan in her own yard alone even for a minute or two. I don't have any idea what type of kids these are and what if they try to hurt her?

We have talked to the parents and one of the dads said he has no control over his kids whatsoever. The mother coddles them and if he tries to put his foot down, he has to deal with her and the kids. I feel bad for him actually. His kids run that household and he came right out and said the kid uses drugs, has ADD, so he's pretty uncontrollable. So, last night we had a battle with the "kids" again and they got pretty belligerent. I'm swinging between calling the police and trying to get something done or just letting it go...again! We are worried about retaliation.

Any advice?

Bunchkin & DMM, the Jewel Foods by us are horrendously expensive. I can't afford to shop at either of the ones near my house anymore. I go to Aldi in Frankfort now. I never heard about bad produce at Wal*Mart? I usually go to farmstands in the summer for that stuff because it's also usually really cheap. I just want there to be some competition for the Jewel in New Lenox because right now, they run the market.

I think walmart just gets the bottom of the barrel produce so they can sell it relatively cheap, but it's bruised and gross ALWAYS! I have yet to find one good piece of produce.

now about your neighbor situation, have you thought about fencing in your entire yard? it would even be safer for your DD. If we ever decide to move somewhere without an association it's the FIRST thing we are doing ::yes::

Other than that i seriously think you should call the police. Neighbors or not, you need to do what is best for your family and your family only ::yes::

My parents have a HUGE yard (they bought 2 lots and built the house in the center of the lots) and they never fenced it in (they like the open feel) and they constantly have kids traipsing through their yard, garden and everything. My day used to get aggravated and then he asked them to stop..etc..but then he realized without a fence what can he do :confused3:

We have over an acre of land that is our yard. Fencing in the entire yard would cost us thousands and thousands of dollars. It's just not possible. :guilty:

I heard from one other friend that I have to post signs first and then I can call the police. So, maybe I'll just call the police for advice (non emergency number of course) and then take it from there.

Good Morning!! :sunny:

One of the local radio stations went syndicated and now has Whoopie Goldberg on in the morning!! :rotfl:

Last day before school!!! We are packing everything up and labeling everything too.

We also have to go to the grocery store for stuff for lunches for DD. She is such a picky eater that she rarely gets hot lunch. At least I know that when DS gets older he will be more open to eating hot lunch, he's not as picky!! ;)
And for $1.75 a day, you can't beat it!!

For those who asked about Lauren's leg: Most areas are healing. Except her tigh, it is still weeping. Today we left unbandaged to try to get it to dry out a bit. I'm sure her new teacher is going to wonder what happened to her!!

Michelle I hope Autumn didn't put the tomatos in the sand!!!
:p

SamIAm I would call the police. It's the only way to get something solved now days. Although it might not bring much peace. Our neighbors behind us now hate us for calling the police on them. But I can live with it. And we don't plan on staying in out house forever either!! :thumbsup2
Have you called around for fence prices? I know they can be pricey. Have you thought of doing the work yourself? It's not that hard.
Menards in Homer Glen has a computer in the fence area that allows to you input your lot size and pick materials for the fence and then will give you a cost of materials print out. All you need is the fencing, a post digger (which can be rented), and bags of concrete. It should take one to two days to do your size of a yard. And with help from a couple friends it could get done rather quickly. And trust me, if the idiots behind me can do it, ANYONE can!! :lmao:

Well, I just returned home from dropping Katie off at daycare, and she wasn't very happy. She didn't cry, but she had a lot of hesitation. Thank God there were kids there she knows to make things easier for her.

Now I'm home and the house is so quiet. You would think I would love it, but I don't like the quiet. I love having the girls with me.

I leave in about an hour for my doctors appointment, so I should use that time wisely and get some things done around the house.

Sam - I'm sorry to hear about your neighbors :guilty: Calling the police for advice sounds like a great idea. :thumbsup2 This whole situation would really upset me to if I were you :furious: and I wish you luck with getting it resolved without retaliation. :wizard: Keep us posted!!!

Bunchkin - I'm glad Lauren's leg is getting a little better. Sending more PD for it to finish healing ASAP!!!! :wizard: :wizard:

To everyone else - Hi there!!! :wave2:

Gotta run - later gaters!!!

now we're playing restaurant! haha! Autumn makes me laugh! she's making me crazy drinks with salt and pepper in them (fake food of course!)

Hi everyone! Guess what? :woohoo: I was just offered the postion at South School! The school I wanted!! The woman that was originally offered the postion didn't pass her background check!

Granted it is less money but the hours are perfect. I can be there for Allison if she needs me. Then when she gets into high school I can torment her. :lmao: only kidding, not. :lmao:

Hope everyone is having a great day like me and as happy as I am right now!
