After that off to get the stuff Sal has on the list that we still need for WDW!! then back for naps and while they are napping i am making the attempt to pack a little bit!!oh and i have to hit the GAP and find a pair of jeans! i HATE being short!!

LEIGH where do you find jeans??

Usually Gap and Old Navy. Lately mostly Old Navy. They have some short lengths. I also occasionally wear Lee or Liz Claiborne, which just come from random places. I almost always have to get them hemmed though, no matter where I get them or if they're short/ankle length. Usually the only time I don't is if I get Capris and they're normal length on me. :sad2: Oh, occasionally I've found something at Nordstrom Rack. I found a neat, cheap pair of CK there, but right now they don't fit me.

How tall are you, Leigh? I'm 5'4" and I mostly wear Old Navy low-rise. I do like Gap and some Lee.

Hey, thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

I can't imagine no Marshall Field's.

When I was at Fox Valley Mall (now Westfield, but I still won't call it that  ) about a month ago, if you looked carefully at the Fields sign outside the building, you could see that it was just a banner that was hanging over a Macy's sign they had already put up.

At least there's still the Field Museum!

They changed the name of Fox Valley Mall?! I didn't know that. Louis Joliet Mall is a Westfield now, too. :sad2:

Field Museum...they'll probably change the name of that, too. Macy Museum. :rolleyes2 :lmao:

I'm a little under 5'. I think last time I measured I was 4' 11 3/4". :rotfl2: So you're tall! But Michelle is even shorter than me, like 3' 2" or something. ;) :rotfl:

I've found that low-rise definitely works best for me, because if I get something that sits at the waist it tends to really stick out at the back of the waist. I guess I'm oddly shaped or something. :confused3 But with low rise it brings it all down lower and it fits better. However, IMO, it's less comfortable. I like to be very comfy in my clothes, and rarely dress up because it just takes more energy to wear the clothes. Does that make sense? :confused3

That's why it's so tacky to change it, IMO, because Marshall Field was a guy, and they're taking his name off the store. :sad2: I don't have anything against Macy's otherwise, but I think they should have at least kept the downtown store as Fields.

3'2"? Cool. I can eat off her head. :cheer2:

I like low-rise for the same reason. Even the low-rise stick out in the back a bit. I guess we're both oddly shaped. I love dressing up. But I also like to be comfy. Wish it was possible to do both. :rotfl:

Yep. It just doesn't seem right. RIP Fields. :sad2:

I think 3' 2" with poofy hair :teeth: Sorry Michelle kisses smooch smooch :grouphug: just kidding. :wave2:

Good afternoon laDIS. Just popping in. Caught up on all the late-night chatter. I'm greatful my two are past Dora. I now have to contend with Cartoon Network and all those goofy shows. Don't quite understand any of them. DD likes the Disney channel and those tween shows. They aren't so bad.
Glad to know you are all as tall as I am. 5'2" here. Same trouble with pants. The petites are too short (end up floods after the first wash) and the regular length is too long. I'd be happy to wear sweats every day of my life. Too bad we sometimes have to get dressed. Too cold around here for shorts all year!!!
HMMM! Shorts all year, Florida, WDW. See a plan forming?
Anyways better run. Need to get groceries, kids for haircuts, open house for school tonight and need to figure out what I could do about getting the Book Fair up and running in a hurry.

:welcome: to the Chicago thread Kimmumum. You'll find this a great group. Check in often as pages turn quickly around here. LOL

Kim and latharia- Welcome! NL here!
Kim- I see you did the marathon. Good for you! I just began running a few monthes ago and would love to do one! Also, a Disney wedding? I am so jealous!
The rest of you ladies- You are all so short!!! :rotfl2: I am 5'10" with long legs! Gotta get long jeans or it looks like I am expecting a flood! Remind me not to wear heels to Wicked or I'll look like Queen of the Amazons amongst my subjects!

Tracy, I'm glad to hear you're taller than me. I was beginning to feel like a giant at 5'4". :rotfl:

I am taller than most women. Luckily, I have one friend who is just as tall. I don't feel like a freak wearing heels when out with her!
