Excellent! It will take us over an hour, too. And I'm not sure what time my mom will be done watching my niece.

No problem! I just wanted everyone traveling after 10/1/06 to know about this. Even if you've booked already or have been booked for awhile, you quailfy for the package.

Here's another helpful hint I wanted to share with y'all. You know how you can't bring liquids or bottles for carry on anymore? Well if you still would like to have shampoo with you in your carry on try a store that's right in the MCO Airport called LUSH. They sell these really cool shampoo bars. They cost a few dollars and they last far longer than a bottle of shampoo anyway! They travel just like a bar of soap. They are also great for washing out small personal items and don't leave your clothes stiff or sticky!

So, you can either pick one up on your way into town or you can visit one of the Chicago area LUSH stores. There's a new one opening up inside Marshall Fields in Oakbrook (I can't call it Macy's yet :sad2: ). I am going to be grabbing a few of these downtown here before our trip!

Hey, thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

I can't imagine no Marshall Field's.

Whew...I sort of got caught up. :rotfl2: I didn't go all the way back to the Dora songs. My oldest does NOT like Dora and will make snide comments. I thought she might like Dieago since she likes animals but nah... she *barely* tolerates Thomas the Tank around here so, there you go.

:rotfl2:

My boys aren't really into Dora (watched it for a bit but definitely not really on our radar now).

Today is our first FULL day of school, so we shall see how things go. I'm quite nervous for my first grader! It's his first really full day of school ever. I'm not quite sure how lunch is going to go (and a host of other worries I have because he has a few extra issues). He already held up the line going INTO school today by kind of being spaced out. :rotfl2: Leave it to MY kid to hold up the line. It was the first time 1st graders had to line up & go in the building like that though per se. I know it will get better but he was a slow poke last year for it in Kindergarten too (however, it's WORSE when you are holding up 1st, 2nd & 3rd graders who are behind you).

Hopefully, he survives (well...I'm sure he will survive, it's just a matter of what incidents I will hear about later -- hopefully no bathroom accidents & hopefully no hot lunch in the floor incidents. :scared1: Yes, those are my worries. Forget academics, that doesn't phase me, it's all the extra stuff that I'm paranoid for.) I *was* extremely happy though that they had his triangular crayons & pencil sitting and ready on his desk yesterday! WOO HOO! I was afraid he would have no writing utensils available since last year he was supposed to have a few things and they didn't show up.

Of course with only the little guy home, that means I have to actually do housework now. :rotfl2: Especially once the little guy takes his nap....it will be too quiet here but for some odd reason I'm sure DH will expect me to clean more since I really have no excuse. ;)

Hi all-
DMM and Disneymama and anyone else going Saturday, have a great day at Kiddieland! Unfortuantely I won't be able to join you all. We will be at the festival by me, going on free rides with the kiddies Sat. morning.

Donna- glad to hear Michael and Kathy are doing good! :thumbsup2

You're welcome! Disneymama, I was in your town last year for the Christmas festivities in the cute little downtown area. There was a great day spa there and I've forgotten the name of it now. Was wondering if you ever tried it and how it was. I have been wanting to go back because it had a great feel to it!

Hope your son does great today, Becky! I worry about the same things with DD5.

Hi, Rosemarie! :wave2: Thanks! I haven't been to Kiddieland in years!

Sorry you can't make it, but hope you will have fun, too! Free is always good! :goodvibes:
