I seriously doubt you gaines 5 pounds. Everyone knows that WDW food doesn't count! Zero calories! Negative calories, in fact, because you're doing all that walking :teeth:

I like the way you think! There is no such things as calories while you're at WDW!

I love parrots! What kind of parrot is your baby? I've never had one myself, but we have some tropical green birds outside our apartment that have somehow adapted to life in Chicago. Theres at least 20 of them! So wild!

Been to Rockford once. Friend of mine lived there for a short time. It was a few years ago during all the construction on the toll (yeah, I know. When isn't there construction?) Anyway, it took 2 hours to get there and 3 to get home. Traffic!!
Would have to mapquest Yorktown. Oakbrook takes me about an hour and a half.
Bunchkin, when are you going to California? If you have a Costco card, look into the CityPass. We went to DL last summer, and the CityPass was cheaper for DL even if you didn't use anything else in the booklet besides the Disney passes. There are also passes for Sea World, the SanDiego Zoo or Wild Animal Park, and Knott's Berry Farm. We didn't have a Costco membership but bought one just to get the passes and still saved $$$. Check it out online. Is this your first trip to DL? We loved it. Great for young kids. Smaller parks, easier to walk around. The fireworks were awesome-sorry to all the WDW fans (and I am one so no bashing!!!) but Remember Dreams Come True beat Wishes.

You won't hear me argue. I have a soft spot for Disneyland. :cloud9:

Dh is now e-mailing me about how hungry he is!
welllll if he hadn't forgotten his lunch?!? he's soo clueless!!

we had a cheescake factory back in Columbus and everytime I went there the line was out the door! But the cheesecake was worth the wait! True decadence!

That sounds like Wild Parrots of Telegraph hill! (documentary about flock of conures that live in the city of San Francisco)

We have an African Grey parrot. Smart, a big talker, and definitely high maintenance. Good practice for when we have kids someday :rotfl2:

Here's a picture of her playing inside her favorite toy - a cardboard box - she gets nasty if you walk by and even try to touch it. It's pretty funny - that's why her feathers are sticking up in this picture:

BUNCHY, the line is always long, even at WOODFIELD, but it's sooo worth it!! DH and i go to the one on Mich. Ave whenever we stay at the WESTIN right NEXT DOOR!!! yuuummmyy!!! we always take dessert to our room!!!

The Frankfort fall festival is this weekend!! Have you ever gone? I love it! I wanted to go this year, but not if I was alone..

I stay far far away from that place!! I love the merchandise, but the bees terrify me and the crowds make me more than just a little cranky! These crowds make Easter week in Disney seem tame! :rotfl: There are a couple vendors there though that I really love too. Oh well.

Paintnolish and Bunchkin, I'm totally cool with the weekend after Labor Day and any evening except Monday & Friday (soccer... ). It's not even half over and I'm a little sick of soccer! This coach really likes us because he schedules all kinds of little side practices for the kids to do, etc. It really eats into our free time.

what is at the Frankfort fall festival? I've never heard of it, but it sounds nice. Too bad I'll miss it, but please tell me about it!

It's a huge fair type festival - carnival rides, food booths (funnel cake, anyone?) and TONS of arts and crafts booths!

Bunchkin - you've never been to Cheesecake Factory? You're missing out! The food is SOOOOO good there.. :goodvibes

Shes so pretty! Too bad she doesn't like to be touched! But its so great that she was sweet to you last night :goodvibes

Those green birds are so cool to watch. We have an empty lot with a couple big trees behind our apartment and we see them hanging out there. Aparently once there were 2 and owned by someone in Hyde Park, who let them go, and they have thrived ever since!

along with my fish phobia :fish: i have a huuuge phobia of birds!! hahaha :duck: it's all good if they are far away or in a cage, but when one flies right near me or lands on me i LOSE IT! like get the shakes and cry it's wierd!

Oh, for the love of....

DH just emailed me and told me he saw one of our neighbors help herself to a basket full of tomatoes from my Dad's garden!!! He's gonna flip! So now I emailed my Mom asking if they gave them permission (my parents and I live in the same building)

Tomato drama - I feel like the garden police :lmao:
