good morning chicagoland homies !!


now that trip time to the motherland is getting closer, i will start to get busy going back to work.


then i ask myself, why do i wait until the week before i leave to do the things i should have done months ago.............
i love disney pins. i have over 500 of them. some are still in the bag in the basement.......looking thru them gives me a headache, i really need to be organized more on those pins. i noticed i bought the same pin twice.
well, in fact, i bought 5 different pins twice...............

school for us starts august 29th. i sub at the high school and already have days assigned. i am looking forward to going back to work but dreading it at the same time. kwim??


antss, i'll keep you and that familiy in my thoughts and prayers.

ANTSS2001 First off a big How horrible. When I was pregnant with Alex I had a friend die very sudden of a massive heart attack. I still think of her. Always feel you can share with us the good and the sad.

I just walked Alex to school, it's our little ritual. He was so excited and nervous. My baby is a 6th grader where did the time go?

ANTSS, I am so sorry about your friend. That's a terrible thing for her family to endure. It was supposed to be a happy time for them and now they have so much sorrow. Take care of yourself too!

Well Megan just got on the schoolbus for her first day at school. She was nervous til she saw her friend on the bus. So, that just goes to show you that friends are very important at every age!! Tomorrow, Megan starts Ivy League before/after school care, so this was her one day on the bus. She'll be home at about 12:30, so I don't have to wait too long to hear all about her day.

I need to go back and read up on what I missed overnight, but thanks for all the support about the trespassing thing going on here.

I am loving the pictures of Pop Century since we will be staying there in November.

EDITED TO ADD: After going back and reading, I just want to tell you Slo, that I am thinking about you and sending lots of PPD! Bunchkin, our girls are both in school today! Hope they make it home before the storms!!

Antss - I am SO sorry about your co-worker. How tragic for her family.

MIchelle - before I completely forget....Donley's would be a blast for the kids...there's pony rides, train ride, gun fight show, roping cow lessons...etc..lots of fun stuff for them to do.

ANTSS i hope everything gets better

My father too had a bad day yesterday. He works in a high stress industry and is constantyl working up to 7days a week and he's always coming in under the gun on projects and such..well anyways he has a guy on his team that didn't show up on the final project day and my dad was beyond furious as this guy had a big part of it...well all the stress from the job had gotten to him, the day before he had had a heart attack and died he was 26yrs old and in great shape......
scary.

That's so sad that that poor woman went home angry from work

Antss -- Sorry to hear about your co-worker

I hope everyone who's children started school today have a good day. We have locker set-up this afternoon. I'm really excited (OK, so I'm not the one going to school, I'm excited anyway! I want to see what our tax dollars paid for as it's a brand new building & the first time we will have ever been in it.)

Looks like I will be one holding down the fort while everyone else is at the motherland. We don't have a Disney trip planned for quite a while. I'm not really even 100% sure when the next time will be but I know we have to go to Yellowstone first.
