CHH closing early?

Yesterday, we planned to go to CHH for dinner before the After Hours event. The MDE app and the WDW website both said hours for CHH were 11am - 8pm. However, when we got to CHH, the posted hours were 11a - 5p and it was closed.

Is the 5pm closing a regular thing now? Is there anyplace to get accurate hours so we can plan? (Would like to go to CHH on Oct 31 before Halloween Party, but not before 5pm).

We ate there Thursday, they closed at 8p that night, we were one of the last to order. We left about 8:30p and felt bad, so many folks were walking in only to find them closed.

Sometimes they use CHH for the events, so they close it down early to prepare for the event.

Interesting, but in this case there was nothing going on at chh even during the event. It was deserted.

We wanted to eat there one night when there was a party and it was closed at 5pm. I think if there is a paid event going on they close at 5.

We’ve eaten there on party nights several times. Most recently last years Halloween on November 1.

It was a few years ago so I guess things have changed since then.

It was several years ago when we went to a MNSSHP and had planned to eat at CHH as was tradition. But when we arrived at 5:30, it was closed. We were very surprised and disappointed.

Best source of info is the Times Guides available when you enter the parks. Can't tell you how many times over the years I'd planned to eat at CHH only to find out it had closed early. I'm shocked if I find it open later than 5 or 6 PM during off seasons even though none really are slow anymore. And I never expect it to be open on party evenings. Since the app is unreliable and/or wonky at least half the time I always grab one of those little pieces of paper when I enter the park.
