Chewbacca!

Hollywood studios, Star Wars Launch Bay (old art class building. Straight ahead past the Little Mermaid show). It was Chewbacca and Darth Vader but I do believe they've swapped out Vader for Kylo Ren. There's also games, replica costumes, art, 10 min behind the scenes video, etc in the building.

It seems like it's usually a 30 min wait for the meet and greet

It's in Launch Bay in Hollywood Studios. Launch Bay is in the old Animation Academy building. If you don't want to see the movie, then just stay to the right and keep walking into the building. Chewie is like other meet and greets. There's a listed wait time. There's also a meet and greet for Kylo Ren. If you have a Disney Visa Rewards Card, then you can do that Kylo Ren meet, which usually has no line. If you are facing the Chewie and Kylo Ren meets, the Visa one is to the right.

Get there early if you can. We went right after they opened, our wait for Chewy was only about 10 minutes. We skipped Kylo Ren. My daughter didn't want to meet him. I admit he is a bit intimidating.

Looks like your question has been answered. But I'll just add that the Chewie meet and greet was one of my favorites EVER. It's not to be missed, in my opinion. Enjoy!!

I LOVED my Chewie meet-I got the biggest hug and the photogs caught it at the right moment-my favorite character pic of all time!

I have to say that lately I've been more than a little disappointed with Disney and our trips-just not feeling the magic much anymore. However, when I went in February and met Darth Vader it was one very intense meet and greet. All the time waiting in line I was joking about taking a selfie with Lord Vader and I had on a Darth Vader shirt that had flowers all around him thinking it would be funny, but when we got there he was true to form intimidating and scary (and he did NOT seem at all amused by the flowers, lol). And not only was he a perfect Vader, but all of the CMs working there including the Photopass people were DEAD serious, no smiles, no jokes. It was perfect.

We then went to meet Chewie and he was also perfect-it amazes me that he makes the Chewie sounds, lol. I'm not sure Kylo was there when we were, but I would have loved to have had that meeting!

I'm hoping that what they have coming is to this level because they definitely have this right on the money!

Kylo is very intimidating. I thought I would be pretty smarmy in there with my Rey Itty Bitty doll. I think I did OK, but there are some hilarious photos where Kylo is definitely asserting his power:)

Are chewy & kylo ren 2 separate lines or 1 line to meet one & then the other?

I loved meeting Chewie, he's just so so cuddly :cutie:

I think the Star Wars character meets are among the best in any Disney park, I once saw someone try to take a selfie with Vader and he was having none of it lol

Kylo Ren is definitely on my to meet list, he can't be as intimidating as Darth Maul at SWW can he? That guy was amazingly in character and as I was stood there he was prowling round me and growled in my ear - making some priceless photos.

Sorry, I'm unclear. Do you need a Disney Visa Rewards card to meet Kylo Ren, or do you just bypass the line to see him if you have one? We can't get a card in Canada, and it would suck for international guests to miss out on the experience.

There are 2 separate Kylo Ren's (technically the CMs only admit to one of them, the other is a "high ranking member of the first order"). One is a regular line the other - kind of hidden away - is for Disney visa credit card holders.

Kylo Ren is pretty intimidating but NOT as scary as Darth Maul. My son wouldn't go near him but he was scary just watching from afar!!

Star Wars characters are, hands down, the best character interactions I've ever had.

I thought the Disney Visa meet n greet was for Darth Vader?

@yulilin3 you are the expert on all things Star Wars......... would you be able to give us some info on the SW M&G, specifically for the Disney Visa?

Thanks!

It was Darth Vader when I was there with one of my daughters in late January. Sometime between then and now they substituted Kylo Ren.

The entrance to the Disney Visa M&G is pretty obscure. I would just ask a CM when you get into the building to direct you there.

Agreed... I face painted my son as Darth Maul for SWW two years ago, and we bumped into him on the Streets of America on his way to his M&G. When he saw my son - the face paint was legit! - he pointed to him and stared him down, and they circled around each other. A crowd starting building. My DS had his light sabre with him, so the real Darth was clearly not up for a battle and skulked away. It was awesome and I caught it all on video!

My other DS was face painted as Darth Vader, and Jango Fett seemed really uncomfortable around him!
