Chevy's Fresh Mex & others?

We will be in Orlando at the end of August to do all the parks except Disney but we will be staying close to Disney. I've been trying to find a few restaurants and found Chevy's which looks good. Does anyone know if they are any good? What kind of prices do they have?

I'll be with two teen boys and a hubby so just trying to find some cheaper dinners out so I don't have to cook!! Any ideas appreciated!

Are you talking about the Chevy's in the Crossroads Shopping Center opposite the DTD hotels? I've eaten there several times and the food is good. I actually used to work within walking distance and would eat lunch there a lot. Their prices are competitive with most off property casual dining restaurants. But I've also tried a few other Chevy's in Orlando, and the quality doesn't seem to be consistent. I haven't found another one I like as well as the LBV location.

Where offsite are you staying? It might be easier to suggest restaurants if we know the general area you'll be in.

I've eaten in Chevy's in at least five locations in four states and I can truly say they are inconsistent. We've had great meals and frighteningly bad meals. We've had good service and totally non-responsive service. I believe we ate at the one in the Crossroads shopping center, but it was many years ago. My recollection is that was not one of the good experiences.

Typically they are pretty good. They are owned by the same company that owns El Torito and Acapulco's restaurants.
