Any help on the size different? I note the Chevy is 7 passengers and The Toyota is 8 but what about luggage room? We have 4 adults and two kids.
Last time down we had a pontiac minivan I think and it just held all our luggage.

We have an uplander for our family of 5(2 adults, 2 in boosters and an infant) and there is no way we will get our luggage to WDW without buying what I call a clam for the roof of the van. You will need to use all of the seating so removing isn't an option and the space behind the seat is maybe enough room for 2 medium suitcases with some small stuff. You are definetly going to need to use your roof unless its a short trip.---

we used an Uplander for our vacation in October and it held enugh luggage for 2 adults and 5 kids ages 15-2 and evreyone had their own luggage plus carry-ons and such. If you arenting, then an Uplander wil work. if you are buying, then buy what you like and get a calm thing for the top of your car. You will drive much better and more safely for it.

Thanks for the input. After posting I went to Chevy web site and they have a comparison chart thru Edmonds.
The Sienna was actually one of the comparison models. The Chevy had 30 cubic feet less space. They don't have a real good photo of the cargo area but it looks very small. Knowing the size of our suitcases, there is no way that will work. Oh well. Would have saved me $80 on a rental for 10 days.
Thanks again.

Check this out: we just traveled to the coast in our Sienna with no carrier on top. We put our luggage in the back, took out the 2 captains chairs in the middle, our 2 kids sat in the back bench seat, our full-grown Great Dane rode where the chairs had been, and we were able to take his 48"x54" crate too, dissassembled and split between the back with the luggage and the floor where he was laying. I had planned on buying a carrier, but now I'm not so sure!

On our last trip, I checked the cargo area of the Uplander, Montana and Caravan (in the National van aisle) and to me the Uplander looked largest, with the Montana second - it looked to have about the same depth, but less height. We had 4 adults and 2 kids and our luggage fit. We did put our carry ons on the floor between the middle seats. which seemed to be wider than the space between the seats in the Caravan. In the back we had one large suitcase and 4 medium size. I suggest taking more smaller bags vs fewer larger ones for packing flexibility. If needed someone can have one on their lap or under their feet if you are just making the 30 minute commute between MCO and Disney.

I guess the whole luggage thing also depends on the length of your trip and time of year - whether you need extra space for pants, jackets, etc.
