Chess or checkers?

OK, simple question today. Which do you rather play, given the choice?
I used to play a lot of chess, in fact I was the third grade chess champion in my public school. But, I haven't played much chess in the past umpteen years. My son is now into checkers, so we play a lot more of that.
I am going to vote for checkers, simply because it is quicker. I just don't have the patience for chess that I used to have.

I think qualifies as one of the lamest polls ever. 2 votes (and one of them was mine). Oh well, at least I think I have now officially hit bottom, and that it is only up from here.

Keep on trying. I voted.

I played checkers when I was younger. I guess there's alot out there (technology) to keep people busy and entertained. However, some of these along with board games encourage interaction so maybe they'll be popular again.
