Is there such a book?

I am taking the required Chemistry Class (called Chemistry in Society) and I am SO LOST! And of course, you need this class to graduate, etc... Math and science are my weakest subjects, so I know this isn't my strong suit.

Does anyone have any websites to share for this chemistry dummy?

I mean like explanation of terms... and what things mean.

I don't want to look like the village idiot to the professor. I need a step by step instructions written down for me..

I think I'm so nervous about this course, that I'm overanalyzing everything.

I can't help with the book, but I was wondering what school you were taking the course at, because we had that course at Stockton.

NOt Stockton... but in NJ. (I had many friends that went to Stockton in the late 80's! One was even on WLFR all the time. I joined him on his show summer of 1987!)

Good luck finding a book that is helpful! Do you have a study buddy from the class? That might be helpful too. And of course, don't hesitate to visit the prof and/or TA during office hours - I really wish I would have done that more in college.

Actually this is an online course. I couldn't get into the classroom one (conflicted with my childrens' schedule). I've emailed the prof a few times, and she has answered my questions VERY patiently.

I may just have to visit her on campus soon. I feel really stupid.

See, I'm an old lady... back in my day, all they had were the yellow Cliff Notes in book form!

I haven't visited sparknotes in a LONG time. Guess I'll have to check them out!

That's the truth. Best site around. Spark notes also puts out a lot of study guides in book form too.

I also recommend sparknotes.....that's where I do a lot of my studying, especially for book tests:)
