Dawn: "P-please don't be mad at Jordan. He loves you very much and wouldn't want you giving up your dreams for him. That's why he was wondering, because of guilt, ma'am."

Caroline: she looked at her and nodded slowly. She looked down "I want to paint. I used to dream about being a famous artist. I got pretty good, I went to college for a few years but then I met Jon, he's a few years older than me and when he graduated he promised to take care of me, so I dropped out and focussed on my painting. We got married and then we had Jordan. I still painted and Jon worked providing for us. I was finally reaching my goal. I had started selling my paintings and I was starting to make a name for myself in the art world. But then Jon left, the day he left he didn't tell Jordan anything, he told me that he 'didn't want the responsibility of being a father' he said there was too much else he wanted to do. I'll never forget his words. That's why it hurt so much that he has a family and is a father. So anyway, suddenly I was on my own with my son and didn't have a job. I started searching but couldn't find anything for a while, so I, I sold all of my art supplies, my books, my paintings, my paints, my canvases, brushes and easels. I planned on buying more once I had money but I never did. I focussed on Jordan letting him play every sport he wanted and getting to every practice and game. I never got back into painting."

Caroline: she shrugged "it's been so long. I don't even know if I remember how. What's the point anyway?"

Caroline: she smiled slightly "I'd have to find time, and room. We lived in this big house before he left, but we had to leave. But maybe I could buy some stuff and we can try together." he looked her in the eye "you really won't tell Jordan any of this?"

Jordan: he started shaking and crying in his sleep trapped in a night terror.

Dawn: she jumped. "that's my cue." She hugged Caroline then ran to Jordan, pulling him onto her lap and singing softly to him.
