Dawn: "And I'm not supposed to be?"
Jordan: "no, I don't know, that's not what I meant. Sorry, I'm upset. I-I don't know what I'm saying."
Dawn: "And I'm not supposed to be?"
Jordan: "no, I don't know, that's not what I meant. Sorry, I'm upset. I-I don't know what I'm saying."
Dawn: she sighed. "It's alright."
Jordan: he looked up at her with concern in his eyes "are you mad at me?"
Dawn: "No, I'm not mad. I'm just a little frustrated is all."
Jordan: "frustrated with me?"
Dawn: "A little. I don't want you lying to me. And I don't want you to act all stereotypical when it comes to crying and strength. It really isn't fair."
Jordan: "I-I'm sorry" he got off of her lap thinking she wouldn't want him there. "please, I'm so sorry. I won't lie to you, and I just I'll try to be better. I'm sorry."
Dawn: "Honey-" she sighed. "I'm not mad at you. You shouldn't be apologizing." She felt absolutely terrible.
Jordan: he looked down "it's okay if you are mad at me. I probably deserve it."
Dawn: "I'm not mad though. I love you more than life itself." She kissed him.
Jordan: he kissed her back. "I love you too." he looked down "I really am okay. I just need to fall asleep, I'm sure the pain will be less in the morning. I don't want to wake my mom up."
Dawn: "Okay." She pulled him back onto her lap and held him close. She put her head on his shoulder, kissed him on his jawline, then shifted so he was mostly laying down, his head rested on her chest. She quietly sang him a lullaby.
Jordan: he looked up at her "please, make sure you get some sleep too" he whispered before closing his eyes. He felt so bad for how he had acted, and he was in so much pain, tears coated his eyelashes even with his eyes closed.
Dawn: she wiped the tears away. "I will." She pressed her lips against the top of his head.
Jordan: he kept his eyes closed "I love you" he whispered one more time before letting himself relax. He focused on Dawn's touch, taking his attention off of the pain. He slowly fell asleep.
Dawn: She smiled when he finally fell asleep. She felt horrible for being angry with him.
Jordan: he snuggled in against her, he scrunched up his eyes as he started dreaming.
Dawn: "You're going to have a good dream." she whispered. "No nightmares."
Jordan: as if he had heard her his eyes relaxed and he smiled slightly as for the first time since he could remember he actually had a good dream.
