Chefs or Teppan Edo?

I originally wanted Ohana's but couldn't get it - so I took a reservation for Chefs de France - I'm wondering if I should try to switch that to Teppan Edo - Can we do hibachi there? I looked at some of the pics - and thats how it looks.. anyone know?

I would make that switch from Chefs to Teppan Edo in a heartbeat! It is hibachi cooking and the chefs are awesome. This is one of our "must-do" ADRs for every Disney trip. In fact, if I knew I could only book one of my dining ADRs, it would be a tie between Teppan Edo and California Grill. It's just a great place to eat. The food has always been exceptional quality and cooked to perfection.

Teppan Edo id our favorite restaurant at WDW. We have never missed a dinner there on any of our trips.

The chefs and waitresses are great. The food is cooked to perfection. We have always had a good show from the chef with our dinner.

We eat here every time we go and look forward to it each time. Ate there last week and ummm, ummm. If your on the DDP try the green tea pudding.

We like 'em both. But I went with Chefs just because even in our humble Mississippi city, we have several teppan-style restaurants, so the WDW version just isn't that significantly different. There is a lot more a la carte options at Teppan Edo - items that typically come with meals at the local spots we frequent. I didn't especialy care for paying OOP for what is traditionally included. Don't get me wrong - Teppan Edo is just fine. But I can honestly do as well locally.

Chefs, OTOH, is something we don't have. We ate there last week, and had a great experience all around - food quality, service, ambiance,the whole deal. And I didn't let the salmon experience dissuade me.

Either way, I don't think you can go wrong. It all comes down to what you're hungry for, y'know?

I definitely would recommend changing your resevation from Chefs to Teppan Edo. This restaturant is great and one of our favorites. Everytime we are at Disney, we make a reservation there. The food is good and the chefs are entertaining.

Great choice! We tried Teppan for the first time in April and can't wait to go in August. I was so desperate I took an 8pm ressie. It has quickly become our favorite also especially for dd11.

I would switch to Teppan Edo too!
Teppan was THE ONLY REQUEST from my Picky-I-Only-Eat-15-things-10-year-old~~~!!
