Chef's Mickeys for Birthday dinner

Has anyone done Chef Mickey's for a birthday dinner?

We will be in Disney during my BIL's birthday. My sister wants to have a dinner somewhere that they will sing Happy Birthday to him. This birthday is also the day we arrive. So to get the "Disney" mood going we wanted to do a character meal. We won't be going into the parks that day, so I thought of possibly Chef Mickey's.

Had my Mom's 80th birthday there a couple of years ago and it was great.
They had everyone in the restuarant sing and wave their napkins and Mickey came over to our table with a small cake we had pre ordered.
This was her first time staying on site and at Chef Mickey's she absolutely loved it.

2 questions if you don't mind. Did you preorder the cake right from the restuarant and how far in advance did you order it?

Yes I ordered it right from the restuarant about 5 days before.
Also called the day before our dinner to confirm and again the morning of the dinner.
Can't be too careful.
