I have an ADR here for late Aug. I can't decide wether or not to keep it or replace it with something else. The reveiws are really mixed. Any opinions? Thanks

I would change the ADR, the food is ok but there are a lot better places in EPCOT. If you are up for Japanese food I love Teppan edo but if you really want some French, go for it

We ate there last March and enjoyed it so much we went back in December. We both felt that meal was just okay.

I guess it is hit and miss.

DH and I like Les Chef de France. It's not a "must do" or anything and we have only gone for dinner, so don't know how lunch is. Our food has been excellent. I usually have the beef tenderloin and DH gets mostly the salmon. I'm sure there are off days, as with any restaurant. I do like Teppan Edo as the pp suggested. But my favorite is Le Cellier.

Chefs de France is a must do for our family. We have eaten there 3 times and enjoyed it very much each time. The wait staff can be a bit stiff at first but if you are friendly to them they open up. A little French works wonders (luckily our kids have pretty decent high school French).

Thanks for the replies. It does seem to be hit or miss. I think we will give it a try. I'd like to see Remy also.

We have always loved the look and feel of this restaurant. It is loud though. The "gourmet" grilled cheese and fries are fantastic. The braised short ribs are my husband's favorite. We have also done pasta with a white sauce, and that was good. Their mac and cheese is excellent, and the French onion soup is great.

I think the other more unique dishes are hit or miss.

We had a reservation at about 4:30pm here. Remy was the best part of the meal. He was hysterical. We had to ask to see him though. He wanted to eat my son's food since my son had fallen asleep sitting up. And Remy was worried that the people staring through the windows were health inspectors!

I have to agree about the food though....it was just okay. I had a steak and they let me substitute potatoes. The potatoes tasted like home fries that usually come with breakfast. They were different colors (purple, orange, etc). The bread was very dry and crusty which is probably fitting for an extra nice restaurant, but we are so spoiled on soft bread/rolls.

We have eaten there and liked it. The waiters were quite snooty, but the service was good. the French Onion soup was NOT good, but everything else was wonderful!

We ate lunch there on June and it was one of our favOrite meals of our trip; the waiter was wonderful, the food was very enjoyable, and remy was a lot of fun. It may have helped that my DH is fluent in french die to living in Paris in the past and my kids and I speak some? Anyway, others who have hanpositive exPeriences with staff sometimes mention that they spoke French... I think more of the iffy reviews are from dinner; fwiw it was the first lunch I planned for our uPcomming trip.

I had dinner there two weeks ago while I was in Orlando for business. Two days after I returned home was our wedding anniversary. When Bill asked where I wanted to go to eat dinner, all I could say was Chefs de France. I had the tenderloin with lobster bisque and it was just heavenly. None of our local restaurants had anything quite so good as that.

We'll be back in June, but this time the two of us.

We had a terrible experience there. It was on our HM and incidentally was my birthday, but it was the worst meal I've ever had on Disney property. I kid you not, but our food was ordered and served within 3 minutes. It obviously had been sitting around for a while and was not very appetizing looking.

My H considers food to be nurishment and just ate his chicken because he was hungry. I, on the other hand, enjoy the dining experience and savor a good meal. I ate a few bites of my meal and pushed it aside. The waiter came to take my plate and my H continued to eat until Remy came by. While watching Remy, the waiter came back and literally swiped his plate and trashed it before we could even speak. This experience left a bitter taste in our mouths for Chefs.

NOTE: Chefs is a pleasant French eatery, although most
dishes have been Americanized. The service is a little slow
and the servers sometimes inattentive, just like in France. As
a middle-priced eatery, it is well placed. The food is above
average, except leave the snails in the garden, as the snails
they use have been downgraded. The atmosphere is good,
but, the tables are uncomfortably too close to one another.

We ate there this past February for our first time. It was one of our best meals we had. At this moment, I cannot think of what DH had but I think it may have been the Beef Short Ribs. My DD who is considered an adult by Disney had the Chicken and I had the Salmon. Since we had the free dining plan, we choose to go with the menu that allowed us to have the appetizer of French Onion Soup too. DS had the chicken strips.

Our meal tasted fabulous. The soup was delicious. Every thing was well presented. Our server was very understanding and kind (we were having a rough day with DS who wanted to be with his cousins more than us but they were at a different place eating). My DD who is learning French in school tried to speak a bit of French to our waitress and ordered in French as did my DH. Myself who knows a bit of French but messes up even the English language ordered in English. She was not snotty or uptight at all.

We also had Remy visit our table. The person with him seemed very knowledgeable about Canada and even the motto of Ontario's licence plates. This impressed us a lot. We also caught the conversation he had at another table and was just as wonderful to them too.

This is now on our must do list to come back. We were able to sit on the side looking out on the entertainment outside and had the fountain behind us. It was an excellent spot while still inside but it felt a bit like eating outside.

I hope you do give it a try. We take a look at all the menus of places we wish to eat first and try to see if it will be a good fit for our family. It also helped that we thought we might get to visit with Remy. This made a great meal turn magical.
