I know that Chef's de France is on the DDP but is Bistro? Which one is better? We have a while before we're able to make our ressies... at least a year.... but I'm still having fun working on preliminary plans. DD wants something French this time and I thought I'd go with Chef's but I saw some pics on the food porn thread that looked great from Bistro. decisions... decisions... Oh and we'll be on DxDp and doing several signatures, so if it's two credits, that's ok.

Bistro is not on the DDP, the only in park restaurant that is not I believe. I know Rainforest at AK isn't on the plan either, but I don't consider it to be IN the AK park. I think (been a long time) that Bistro has a 30 day ADR window, and I remeber calling the restaurant directly.

If you are taking children then definately Chefs (unless the child is an adult).

Le Bistro is very intimate, small restaurant..2-3 hours for your meal, and we spend more than we do at Victoria and Alberts some evenings.

Bistro

a. is not on DDP (but they do accept TiW)

b. does not have a children's menu and sort of discourage children.

c. It will only accept reservations 30 days out

d. figure on 2 - 2½ hours for dinner

e. is Dinner only.

If it's not on the DP then I'll skip it next trip. DD is 13 but has very adult tastes and loves trying the fancy restaurants. It's always just been me and her so she is quite grown up and has great restaurant manners. Even though it's nice to see her face light up when Chip and Dale hug her.

Maybe that is why I originally chose Chef's b/c of it being on the DDP but seeing those pics on the food porn thread made me wonder if I should try for Bistro. yummmm

 your DD sounds like my DS13. He's a foodie too. He picked all but two of our ADRs. We're doing Chef's because he wanted to try French food. Really he wanted Bistro because it was more like a real French restaurant - and "fancier" :confused3 (how he can tell that from the photos I don't know) but I put the kaibosh on that when I saw the approximately $65/plate price.:rolleyes1
