Not to say there's necessarily anything wrong with Olive Garden or chain level food - sometimes, that's what I want and am OK with it. I just hope for more from the dedicated or themed Disney restaurants. I have an upcoming trip in just over a week, and I'll be eating at T-Rex and Boatright's on two of the nights. I also eat at Rainforest sometimes too. I've eaten at Applebee's, Olive Garden, Friday's, Chili's, etc so I've got nothing against them. Chefs de France used to be a notch above that with what seemed like more French-style dishes and a little more flair, but lately seemed more watered down and generic...as I said, still plenty edible and all - just not what I hoped for based on many past experiences. It has happened to a lot of Disney's restaurants where more adventurous, ethnic, spicy, or highly regional foods are dropped in favor of more 'American' dishes. I understand the motives behind it, but it makes me appreciate even more the few restaurants that still have more adventurous spices or flavors or are more ethnic.
