Getting closer and closer, yee hah!

Just saw May hours and events schedule. We arrive on Sat the 17th and have ressies for Chef Micks for 6:30. Now that I saw that the fireworks are at 9, I am wondering if I should cancel Mickey's and do fireworks instead since we will be departing the morning of Sat. 24th.

ORRRR

Should I make reservations at Ohana's on the 17th to see the fireworks from there and then do Chef Mickey's on the 18th?

help, help. Too many decisions!:p

How about eat dinner at Chef Mickey's and then take the Monorail to the Poly and walk to the Poly Beach and watch from there?

Thanks
Jason

I agree the Poly is a wonderful place to watch the fireworks. Down on the beach sitting on a beach chair with the music playing is so relaxing. I can't wait to do it again........

Chef Mickey's is a blast, and you should have plenty of time to get to the Poly, GF or even walk back to MK for the fireworks don't you think? It was the best character meal we have done, even better than CRT

Thank you to all for these wonderful suggestions. I think they are all great, my only concern is my kids. THey are 4 and 5 and after a day of traveling, I think it may be best to stay in one place after dinner to watch the works. We are staying at CBR so from going from CBR to Contemp and then to POly and back to CBR after flying and traveling all day, it may be too much. I am going to call Disney Dining and see if the Observation deck is still open at Contemp to watch fireworks, if it is, I'll stay with my reservation for dinner there, if not, I'll change and eat at Ohanas to watch from within the restaurant.

Thanks again:)

I would definitely have to vote for the Fireworks. I would recommend dinner at O'Hana's at like 7pm, then head out to the Polynesian beach, relax and enjoy the fireworks. There are lounge chairs & hammocks to kick back in. Also, either right before or right after is the Electrical Water Parade in front of the Polynesian. This is usually at 9pm. It's cute.

Can't you view the fireworks (with music piped in) from the Contemporary? If so, do Chef Mickey's and hit the observation deck for the fireworks.

We are following along the same plans as you, but arrive the day you leave. We are going to Chef Mickey's on May 24th and then taking the monorail to the Poly to watch the fireworks and water pagent from there. Your kids will love Chef Mickey's (great age for them to go) and I believe you can walk from Poly to ttc to get transpo. back to cbr.
