Should we do Chef Mickey's for Breakfast or dinner? Which is more worth the money?

I don't know that either one is worth it in my opinion.

We did dinner a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely terrible. The food was lukewarm, we were seated in an off section of the main dining room and barely saw the characters. We could barely eat the food and believe me, we're not that fussy. The only redeeming quality was the dessert bar.

Other people have had better luck at the breakfast. I know we probably won't ever go back to either. There's GOT to be a better place to eat with character interaction.

Other people will have other opinions but that's ours.

We had dinner there a few weeks ago for the first time and really liked it.
We were in the main dining room and all the characters came by at least twice. Goofy didn't come by the tabels but he stood in the middle of the restaurant and you could stop by and get an autogtaph and pose for pictures.
The food was good as well. I especially liked the prime rib and mashed potatoes. Our waitress was great. Maybe we were there on a good night but we would eat there again :earsboy:

You will get alot of different opinions on CM but I say try it for yourself. Only you can decide if you will like it or not. And if you are on the dining plan you can order a smoothie for your drink. YUM!

I have to ditto the folks who are down on Chef Mickey's. The food is OK, but the characters are awful. They rush you to take your picture so they can get away. A far better character breakfast can be had at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom.

But if you must go to Chef Mickey's, I'd go for breakfast. The breakfast food is always warm and tastes OK. Dinner food is hit-or-miss with both temperature and taste.

We went for the latest breakfast seating at 11ish and treated it like lunch. We weren't really impressed with the food - everything was ok but we loved the Mickey waffles and french toast. We found the characters a bit rushed, but we did get lots of interaction with Mickey and Minnie. We may not go this next trip and try CP instead. The one drawback is that over 2 weeks, this was the ONLY time we were able to get photos or autographs from Mickey and Minnie, so I am debating about going.

We go to Chef Mickeys every trip for arriving day dinner. We have never had a bad meal and the characters are the best. This past trip in September , we celebrated DD's 2nd birthday there also. The characters were great and attentive plus the food was good.

Loved the dinner!! Going to do that again AND try the breakfast next time around, the food was delish! We were absolutely stuffed :)

We're going to try Chef Mickey's for breakfast on Dec. 20th. :flower:

Can't wait to eat some Mickey waffles!

We had breakfast there and we hated it. The food was cold. The mickey waffles were cold. The cereal was only the sugar stuff- and they had M&M's as an option with your frosted flakes. The eggs were terrible and we waited a lifetime to see a few characters that we had already seen in the parks. Do you think we liked it- no. And that napkin spinning thing.... arg.. someone posted on here about the food flying off the napkins and I read that before I went and that was all I could think when those napkins went into the air. :rotfl2: Now my kids even didn't like it. They thought the food was terrible(and my kids are little-) This was the one and only place that charged my 11 year old full adult price for breakfast(he had one half a hard bagel) They all knew he was 11 but this was the only one that charged us the full adult price. We will skip this one next time.
