My opinion last time i have been chef mickeys as gone down hill. Last time i went was in 2004 chef mickeys was wonderful, But the very last time i went was in march 2011 and it was not all that good like it has use to be. Can any one tell me why or dose any one agree with me.

I had breakfast at CM's and was very disappointed. I read so many reviews about the place and how great it was....i dont understand the hype. Clearly it must be the characters, the fab 5, cause the food wasnt very good. The quality and selection were horrible. I also thought the atmosphere was dreadful.

I was there with my granddaughter March 2011, and we really enjoyed the experience. The food was good, the CMs were great and the character interaction was wonderful.

Sorry to hear you bad reviews. Each time we go to CM's, we have a great time. I love the characters, and there seem to be more food selections than at other buffets. I love Chef Mickey's!!

gone to CM the last five visits. It was our last thing at Disney. Our goodbye to the World. I was a reluctant participant. The Wife and kids liked it so we went.

This past trip was different I liked the food. Maybe my attitude had changed. Maybe I gave up on critiquing every food item ans stayed with the ones I knew I liked. Maybe the late ADR we have settled on is more relaxing (it is) than the midday ADRs we have done before.

I used to dread CM; the food, the noise, brief interactions. The last two trips I have really enjoyed the breakfast. I even had my picture taken with Donald and I don't have my picture taken. Maybe, I've learned to go with it.

I have truly enjoyed our last two breakfasts.

IMHO the place is over-priced and the food is terrible. But for some reason, I keep going back!:confused3

I think it's because we always have good character interaction there. My hope is that the kids will get their fill of characters there and we can then skip the meet and greet in the parks.

I don't know....everyone seems to complain about the place yet you can't get in! Couldn't get a ressie if I wanted to! :rotfl2:

So, why should Disney make any improvements when they continue to do so well with the place? Until people stop going it will remain the same old thing.

We go every trip and I don't think it's gone downhill. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not so good. Sometimes service is right up there and other times I leave disappointed with the service.

I think the atmosphere is very fun, and we'll continue to go there. We went in Feb 2011and we're going back again in October. (in 79 days!!!)

We've been there every trip we've taken, and usually for breakfast-but our last trip we could only get in for dinner. My kids love it, even tho they're teenagers! DH and I didn't love it this last time, though. I'm not sure if it was because it was a different meal or what, but we were not happy with the food at all, and the service was awful. Our waitress was really crabby and inattentive-we missed IllumiNations because we waited over 20 minutes just to get our check! We'll probably go back as long as we can get breakfast ressies, but not for dinner.

We really enjoyed our Chef Mickey dinner our last trip. The food was very good and fresh. Our server was great and the character interactions was awesome. However, I did follow the advice of several Disers and booked the earliest dinner time so, I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not. We would definitely go back.

for me, I believe its a mental thing, when they sit me is a certain section , i seem to enjoy everything better

My family and I went for breakfast a little over a month ago. Overall it was...eh. Pretty overpriced for one thing. The character experiance was good. However, I'm 14 and my sister is 16, so meeting the characters wasn't really at the top of our's and our parents "reasons for going list". Though we did enjoy watching the little kids.

Our server was excellent, very sweet and on top of things. My mom and my sister are both allergic to gluten, and the chef was very helpful and even made them special gluten free mickey waffles, which was excellant.

The rest of the food was not so great. The traditional mickey waffles were, as always, delicious, but everything else was...alright. (though some of it was flat out gross)

Overall, I can't say we'd really recommend it. In my opinion, Chrystal Palace is a much better character option. We've gone for both breakfast and dinner, and both times the characters, service and food were all outstanding.

That food was horrible when I went but maybe, if Igo at breckfest maybe the food will be better I hope I will not have to wast my money agian. Can anybody tell me about there breckfest?

I still love eating at Chef Mickeys. yes it is very chaotic and busy but for me that is exactly what i love about it :) The actual meal was just ok but for me the food was never the standout thing about the restaraunt (which the exception of the desserts and mickey ravioli). as long as the atmosphere is still crazy, chaotic (but not 2 chaotic) and fun. I love singing the "celebrate with mickey mouse song".

a times eating there I don't expect great things from breakfast. I stick with a few items that are good - at least to me. I usually stick with the fresh fruit. french toast, cheesy potatoes, sausage and bacon. The fresh fruit is to make sure fill up only on the other things.

I was there in March 2011. Been there lots of times before. The food has always been so-so, but this last time the servers in our section were a bit cranky. It seemed like this is where they park the wait staff that has run out of pixie dust and will soon be dismissed from WDW. I am sure its a demanding environment given the craziness but on the other hand they don't have to take our orders or bring us food and they still get tipped like other TS's.

Yes seince the food is not even all that good they charge way to much. Last time i was there they let some gy walk in grab a plate of food took a couple of bits then walk out with out even paying or any thing know that is crazy. Has any one else seen this happen?:sad2:

We've only been there once, in 2009. The server was the BEST I've ever had...seriously- she went above and beyond. My daughter also had her b-day cupcake sevred there, and we had a blast, since donald came and swung his napkin, and got all the other guests to join in.
We're going this time for dinner, so hopefully, we'll have a wonderful time!
I will say that every restaurant/server/cook has bad days. The last time we ate at Mexico was DISGUSTING, but my friend went a few weeks later and loved it!

We used to do dinner at CM every trip. Last year we did breakfast which was very good & then we did dinner on a Sunday evening. The adults were disappointed with the food especially since it was "Sunday Dinner", but the kids loved it as always. Grandson had his fill of his 2 favorite things....peel & eat shrimp & garlic bread, lol. So we skipped it this last trip, but have booked breakfast for this coming Sept. Service & character interaction have always been good for us.

Just came back from Disney a few weeks ago. We went to CM for breakfast our last day there. A slight disappointment. Food was just OK. But we went for the characters. However we were completely done eating and they still had not come to our side of the dining room yet. My 2 year old was growing impatient, she REALLY wanted to see Mickey. We waited a bit longer... then when they finaly did make it to our side other families got up and stood in front of our table. Mickey never made it to us and we were very sad. Compared to all the other character dining experiences, this one just seemed less organised.
