Anyway,
i'm looking into Chef Mickey's as a possible place to eat.
I know there are reviews on disboards but i was hoping that someone can post their experiance and whether or not it is 1 or 2 table services.

We have eaten there for breakfast twice and we all enjoy it and think the food is pretty decent. It is 1 TS.

We recently had dinner there, and it was pretty good. There was a decent selection of items, but not so many that you felt like you missed something. The characters came around fairly quickly and the interaction was good, we had time to take a lot of pictures of each one.

Last Sat we went it was 1TS and we enjoyed the food! Parm Mash potatos, Scalloped potatos, chicken, prime rib, cheese ravioli, salads, veggies, ham, chicken nuggets, pizza, mac and cheese and much more was delicious!

Dessert was rice crispie treats, mickey bon bons, key lime tarts, browniie, ice cream with lots of toppings and more!

Character interaction could not be beat!

We have been for breakfast and dinner. I liked the breakfast foods better but both were good. The character interaction is really the best way to see the Fab 5 with out standing in a long HOT line! Its not gourmet food but there is something for everyone and its a fun time.

This!

CM is a must do to see the fab five. We always do breakfast, which is alright but not great. We tried supper once and found the food a disappointment even for a bufffet. But we always stay at CR so we can't resist CM for one breakfast.

Chef Mickey's is 1 TS credit, whether breakfast or dinner.

We love to have dinner here every trip. Have never been disappointed with the food, service or the characters.
The food is buffet food yes, but IMO it is a cut above the normal. The strip loin is always cooked perfectly (med/rare), the mashed potatoes are as good as LeCellier's cream cheese ones. I could go on, but like I said, very good.

We usually make our adrs for close to 5pm, and have always been sat quickly.

It is a must for our vacation. Just sets the mood of the trip!

Dinner at CM's is somewhat of a first night tradition for our family. We love the characters and the napkin dance and watching the monorail glide overhead. It is a wonderful experience that really sets the tone for our vacation.

We had read lots of negative reviews about the place before our trip last summer so were considering ditching it. My DS 13 insisted on going back, and I'm really glad he did. The food was surprisingly good, not gourmet by any means, and the characters were wonderful! We were wondering if we were at the same place and where the heck were all the bad reviews coming from? Ask for a table with a monorail view if possible for a better experience.

Check out the link to my dining report in my signature for a more detailed review of our experience. But remember, no matter what anyone else says, you have to try it for yourself to know if it's right for you. We have even had completely different experiences with the same restaurant on different trips!

It's fun with the best character selection for a meal. The food is just ok. The only bad experience we had was after the photopass woman sold us our picture package. When she turned around to leave our table she broke wind in our faces. It was unbelievable.

As with most of the buffets in Disney, it is way overprice, but once you get over that, chef mickeys is fun for all....I like the monorail going by overhead!!

Our family loves Chef Mickey for dinner!! I would suggest making an ADR asap. Not sure how popular the breakfast is since we always do dinner, but I had a hard time finding one for when we'll be there in November. We just booked our trip last week so I missed my 180 day window. I was finally able to get it on the first night we're there. That was the only dinner time I could find in the 7 days we'll be in Disney. Of course I'll keep checking in case there's a cancellation, but at least we have one. Good luck! I think you'll love it! The characters are so fun and do interact with everyone too!!

Our family loves Chef Mickey's. It's become a tradition for us, we either start the trip or end the trip with dinner there. For our next trip, we plan to go to CM the first night my sister and her family join us. They have never been to WDW, so we thought it would be a great way for my niece (who will be 18 mos) to meet Mickey. We took my son last fall when he had just turned 1 and he loved it. Mickey is his favorite character and we got some priceless pictures there.

We had also read the negative reviews, and don't understand them. We have always had good food there. Nothing to rave about, but good enough to stuff ourselves silly and continue to go back.

I would vote yes, for sure!
