Chef Mickeys to DTD

It depends on if you follow the signs, or go the "real" route... hehe...

The best route, take a left out of the Contemporary... you'll get to a traffic light. Disney wants you to take a right... but just keep going straight. The road will form a jug handle, continue to go through the stop sign. (But please, do stop there) You're now on Vista Blvd.

You'll go past Fort Wilderness, and a security booth (you dont need to stop), and you'll come to a traffic light. Take a right. You're now on Bonnet Creek. Continue down till that road ends. Take a left. You're now on Buena Vista Drive, and DTD will be on your left in a mile or two.

Total travel time, assuming you obeyed the speed limit... approx 15 mins.

Chip 'N Dale, we take that route all the time from OKW when we are staying on Disney property... It really is a much shorter way to travel isn't it? When we are travelling with people who haven't been to WDW before with us they always laugh when we tell them we are taking them through the 'back door' entrance to the parks. Going to the MK Resorts it is nice to go that way too since if you are staying on property, they will let you pass..

Well, from OKW to MK, driving yourself, when you get to the traffic light, just go straight ahead. You'll get onto Epcot Center Drive... and then from there, you merge over to World Drive, and go through the Toll Plaza and into the parking lot.

We have taken that way as well, but usually take the other way, past Bonnet Creek and FW.... Either way are both nice drives, but I try to avoid the toll plaza if I can since it can back up in the mornings, etc.

Of course if you're not going to the MK, then all is well... but unfortunetly, the only way to get to the MK is to go through the Toll Plaza... (Unless of course you went all the way around Seven Seas, then to Floridian Way, back onto World Drive South, and then took the loop around.)

Oh yea, I did forget about that part, if you want to get into the MK parking lot it is better to go the other way, isn't it. LOL!.. I was thinking about when we go to dinner and stuff at the MK resorts.. I will have to remember this next time we drive to MK from OKW, or I will be making the big circle..
