Chef Mickey's questions

Hey ... we're looking for Disney fun on our two travel days without using park passes to enter the oarks. Originally I was thinking of doing the Hoop De Doo Revue on our arrival day, but the cost is prohibitive.

So ... Chef Mickey's looks like a lot of fun. If we go for dinner on our arrival day and breakfast on our departure day will it be too redundant??? I'm thinking it would be a nice closure to the trip, to end kind of how we started. But, I'm worried that it may be a bit too Been There, Done That.

My kids will be 7 and 4-3/4 at the time of the tirp next March.

Have you done it before? If so then only you can really decide.

I do enjoy it but I would only do it once a trip. It is a fun place and we do it almost every trip. I love getting the photo taken at dinner.

Maybe you can do another monorail meal like 1900 Park Fare breakfast (Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins) or dinner (Cinderella and friends).

Sorry I wasn't of much help!

I guess more info is needed ... we're planning to do 1900 Park Fare for breakfast during the week. We've never been to Chef Mickey's before. This will be our kids' first trip to WDW.

I guess I'm just wondering if the entertainment or whatever varies much between breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey's. Would the characters remember us the second time?

We did Chef Mickey's twice a couple of years ago and the second time wasn't as fun as the first. That said, we are going twice during our next trip because we are going with two different groups of people and both want to go.

We like to hit Downtown Disney if we have some time on first night. We love Earl of Sandwich--yummy! We have also played mini golf on our first non-park day.

That is exactly my fear in doing two meals at the same restaurant, the characters not remembering you. My girls would expect them to remember them and more then likely they won't.

It certainly is a fun place and like I said one of my favorites and I've heard they have a good breakfast buffet but I've never done breakfast there.

You could do both and when you see each character for the second time say something like, "its great eating with you again" so they are clued into the fact that they've 'seen' you before. I've done this when we did both CRT and the Princess Breakfast at Epcot and the Princesses get what I'm saying and go along with it.

I did breakfst and I did dinner
one would have been enough

park faire we did breakfast and dinner
and it was worth it

Crystal palace was really good
breakfast was better

crt was wonderful. elegant just worth it.

We also did cape may breakfast which was fun....
andthe seafood buffe t

but personally i found too much food and the reservations
kind of tied you down a bit. My little one had one nugget at each meal
one mickey waffle.......
so while the dining plan was wonderful
I think less food would have been ok too!!

I would do CM for breakfast first day and Ohana's for dinner last day.

Actually, I could do it the other way around. We'll be traveling the morning of the first day and the evening of the last day.

me and my family had dinner there for my brothers 13th b-day and it was a lot of fun/yummy! my lil brothers and sister enjoyed it as well...they could get whatever they wanted (and they can be picky eaters) they esp. loved the dessert bar o boy they loved that part! and to be with the characters made it even more fun to be there. hope you go there!

I love Chef Mickeys. I think twice in a visit would not be bad. :)

Also on travel days you can check out Downtown Disney.

That sounds perfect! Have fun. :cool1:

I totally agree. We enjoy CM to kick off our trip, but Ohana's was a favoriet of my 6 year olds. We ended the trip there with her grandparents and we all had a great time and the food was delicious.
