My husband, daughter and I will be in Disney World in September for free dining. We are staying at CSR and are so excited! I have already made our ADRs but am now wondering if we should change one. We have booked breakfast at Chef Mickey's but I wonder if we should change it to Tusker House. What do you all think? This is the second time we are taking our 2 year old, last year she was still so little and this time I want her to have a great time. Any opinions are appreciated!

Thanks!

Chef Mickey's is a fantastic choice. Anyone suggesting you change is probably hoping to take the slot for themselves!!! :rotfl2: just kidding my DIS
family.

I hope you've also booked Playhouse Disney character meal at Hollywood & Vine geared toward little ones just your DD's age. My nephew(6yo) LOVED Chef Mickey's (on his top 3 favorite things at WDW) and I'm looking forward to taking him to the PHD meal this year.

Have a magical trip!

with a 2 yr old......no brainer CHEF MICKEYS all the way!!!;) .....

Oh, no. I already called and changed the reservation. I wanted to be sure that my daughter gets to see Daisy Duck (one of her favorites) and read that she is at the Tusker House. Now I am having major anxiety! (How sad, my biggest worry is where we will eat breakfast 5 months from now:lmao: ) Am I really going to regret this decision? Thanks so much the help!!!:goodvibes :thanks:

If your daughter's favorite is Daisy Duck you will not regret changing your ADR. I haven't been to Tusker House, but the menu looks very similar to Boma, which is my absolute favorite breakfast anywhere!!! Have a great time and take lots of pix of Daisy and your little girl.

I didn't care for Chef Mickey's at all! Funny how so many people love it. I thought the food was some of the worst of the trip and the character interaction was rushed and poor.
I would love to try the Tusker House but it isn't in the cards for this next trip. I hope you will enjoy whichever one you choose.

They are both great for character interaction but the food is better at Tusker House. We did both on our last trip but you would be fine with either - no worries. :)

We've never eaten at Tusker House but we make sure we do a breakfast AND a dinner every trip at Chef Mickey's:cool1: :cool1: We think Chef Mickey's is a MUST DO for everybody:dance3:

From day one, we planned on eating at Chef Mickey's (I tried to talk the family out it...we've already done that...let's do all new stuff...etc, but after scanning menus, it stayed on the list), but we recently added a breakfast at Tusker House too. It should be fun. My son loves Donald.

Thanks for all the wonderful opinions. We are going to stick with our reservation for the Tusker House and maybe try and do Chef Mickey's another day. :thumbsup2

Thanks again!

MRJT I can sympathize with you! I also wanted to try some new things, but the traditionalists rule. So it's ASMo and the Japanese restaurant (which actually did change it's name since we've last been) but it's all good :cool1: Have a wonderful time all!

Just ate at the Donald's Safari breakfast in March. It was delicious. There was a lot of variety.
Also ate at Chef Mickey's on a previous trip and it too was great.
You can't lose with either choice.
