The first day we arrive we have a reservation for Chef Mickey's at 8:30. However, I was just able to get one for O'Hana at 5:30. Which one would you keep?

We have 3 kids age 10, 7 and 5. The only other character meal we are doing is a Tusker House lunch. Does Mickey even come to that?

I am concerned that Chef Mickeys will be such a late meal for our first night and they will be exhausted but if that's their only chance to see Mickey it might be worth it. Is O'Hana fun for kids?

TIA

Mickey should be at Tusker House, he was when I was there for breakfast in February. I have kids similar ages, and 830p would just be too late for my kids. I learned with our first trip that late nights and early mornings for RD did not work out very well. We did enjoy Chef Mickey's, but I love O'hana!

'Ohana. Our family loves to eat here. The coconut race is fun for the kids.:)

Ohana is our favorite as well. Chef mickeys is okay but it's hard for me to pay that price per adult if I don't love the food. We do chef mickeys about every other trip but Ohanas every trip. We don't do the DDP anymore but do have TiW.

We have done breakfast at both 'Ohana and Chef Mickey. 'Ohana was a lovely experience - great service, good food, and great character interaction (Pluto was rolling around the floor with my kids, and Stitch was a riot!). Chef Mickey wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything like 'Ohana. Loud, average buffet food, and quick character visits that were limited to just a quick photo snap.
