Which would you do? 2 adults no kids. I know both are characters and CM is buffet and LTT is family style.
Which do you prefer and why?
Thanks for your help. This is, I think, the last one on my list of TS to pick then I might be done. :confused3

Personally, my wife and I love the LTT (I love the Mac and Cheese :-) )

We have never gone with children but always had a great time. I like not having to leave the park to eat, and although the menu is more limited than a buffet, I always found the food to be very enjoyable at the LTT.

We usually set it up to enjoy a nice meal and then get a good spot to see SpectroMagic from. And if we dont' fill up at LTT, maybe get some apple cobbler at Sleepy Hollow :)

I've eaten at both a few times.

Chef Mickey's is a tradition for us but we have kids.

Ok here's what I think:

Chef Mickey's can be loud. It's a buffet and we very much enjoy the variety of food they offer. It's got Mickey and friends. It's got a photo package that you might want to buy. $26 for 2 5x7s and 6 wallets with a magnet and a key chain.

LTT is quieter. It's served family style. It's got Minnie and friends; no Mickey. The food is Thanksgiving style food but more TV dinner type food. My kids do NOT like the food here at all. My DH and I thought it was alright. My favorite things were the honey butter, the yummy bread and the delicious salad dressing. My girls can't stand Stoffers Mac & Cheese so they don't enjoy this meal. They didn't even like the corn because of pepper in it.

Not crazy about the dessert at LTT either.

Even though I enjoy LTT, it's not one of our favorites, but I would eat there again, without my kids.

We found the food better at the LTT and the restaraunt seems more spacious and relaxing.

Our family has done both serveral times. Since you are going w/o kids, my vote would be for the LTT. Chef Mickey's is fun, but I love that the LTT is inside of the park, and there's no waiting in line for food. My DH say LTT is a must now on every trip. He gets tired of park food and really enjoys this meal. I do too!

We were disappointed with Chef Mickey's when we went. I mean, it's great to see Mickey, and it's one of the few places he's at. But for us, the Contemporary style didn't fit with our Disney perspective. For many, that's not true, I know a lot of people LOVE the Contemporary. For us, it just felt weird. The food was okay, the service was fine, the characters were nice. We just weren't impressed. LTT on the other hand we LOVED. The characters were adorable and the food was excellent. We plan to go back to LTT in the fall, and probably many more times. The rolls and strawberry vinagrette are almost enough on their own to bring us back!

(PS. We're two adults no kids too.)

Sounds like LTT will be the choice. :thumbsup2 Actually, that is the one I was leaning towards. Thanks for your responses.

Anyone who knows me at all knows I am cheap. Therefore I don't like buffets. They cost as much as sit-down meals, but I have to fight crowds at a germ-filled buffet to get my food. No thanks, I'd rather have a server bring this to me for that amount of money, and I do, for the most part.

Besides that, though, unless you are staying at the CR, it's just easier to eat inside the park and less time-consuming. With CR, you could walk over, or take the resort monorail around to it. But dealing with the crowds, ticket booths, security, etc. will take up quite a bit of time. I prefer, if the food is just as good, to stay in MK and eat there.

LTT is really awesome, IMHO. Good food, great character interaction, and an unbeatable location near some of the best rides in WDW.

grimley1968-you have a good point there about the costs. I am doing one buffet at Crystal Palace for breakfast. I love pooh and they only do buffet. Other than that the others are sit downs.
LTT sounds very nice. I have heard lots of good things.
Thanks!!!
