Would you leave Epcot and take the monorail to Chef Mickey's or just eat at the Garden Grill for dinner?

If we do take the monorail, how much time would you suggest I allow to get there?

Thanks!

Eat at the Garden Grill. It is a great experience. The family style dinner is yummy and the characters are cute and attentive. Also- the atmosphere is really neat with the revolving restaurant over the land exhibit. LOVE it there!

My family loves CHef Mickey's but we would definitly stay and eat at Garden Grill. The food was great and the Character interaction is outstanding. We eat there almost every trip.

I would definitely pick Garden Grill over Chef Mickey's. The character experience is way better and we've generally had them come visit us twice in an hour.

I would pick Garden Grill every time! We love it there! The character interaction is outstanding and the meal is mostly quiet and a slower pace than Chef Mickey's. For that alone I would stay... but the food is wonderful. Everything is served family style so it is brought to your table and you can request more of what you want without having to get up!! :thumbsup2

WHY?
- Food WAY better, not below par buffet food
- I am waited on :thumbsup2 I have to say it again, I am waited on
- Much quieter restaurant without loud activity
- No kids running around, pushing into our table or chasing characters
- Characters are great, take their time, make it personal to each :goodvibes

I have to add my vote for Garden Grill too for all the reasons that have been listed. Sort of funny to read this thread though, a few years ago when I was planning a trip I read not so good reviews of GG but opted to eat there anyway and was pleased with the whole experience, and have been back 3 times since then!

No question, Garden Grill. Both are good, but you'd have to allow at least an hour and a half to get Chef Mickey's. First of all, you need to arrive 15 min. early for your ADR. Second, you'd have to change monorails at the TTC to get to the Contemporary. Not worth all of that for Chef Mickey's.
