Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palace

I would have to say we enjoyed CM better. The food was great and we spent more time w/ the characters. Where the food at CP was good also we didn't get much interaction w/ the characters. We were actually done w/ dinner and still waiting to see Tigger.

I would pick CP. My experience with character interaction at both CP and CM are comparable, they were both okay. The food at CP is edible and the one at CM is not IMO. Good luck with your decision.

Another vote for CP. We had a ton of character interaction, multiple visits by all. Loved the atmosphere. CM was too loud for us. The singing and stuff was just way over the top for us. Also, it was awile back, but three of the four of us were ill after CM. I realize this is not the norm, but enough to scare us off.

In the end,
Do you want Mickey, Goofy, Chip N Dale, Pluto, and sometimes Minnie and Donald in the concourse of the contemporary with soaring ceilings and a view of the monorail or do you want Pooh, Tigger, eeyore, and sometimes Piglet in a conservatory with a pretty garden in the middle of it?

From what I've seen here and in guides and on other sites, there really won't be all that much difference in the food and what difference there is is luck of the draw.
Both run 80 thumbs up, 20 thumbs down in the UG.
Both are buffets so the menu changes.
Sometimes one is better, more deluxe, etc, sometimes the other. Both have loyal followings and both have detractors.

If you have girls then do CP :cheer2: . Boys would like CM better. Tina

I'm doing both...CM's the first night for dinner and ride the monorail and CP's for breakfast on our way out of town that day. Can't wait!

We also did CM for dinner and CP for breakfast. Good way to get a lot of easy autographs! I second what "Cannot Wait 4 Disney" posted. They are similar enough that I would choose by the characters that are going to be there.

We didn't care for the "adult" food at CM's. The character interation was great!!! If you are going with kiddos and only care about their experience, I would say CM's because the kiddos will have a lot of good food and character interaction. DH and I ate mostly mac and cheese and chicken fingers because we didn't like the "adult" dishes!!! And it was fun to make your own sundae!

We've been to both CP and CM numerous times and both are wonderful experiences. The CM atmosphere is fun for families and CP is a beautiful restaurant that has a little extra since it has characters also. IMO the food at CP is far superior and a much bigger selection than CM at dinner. We love CP for dinner and enjoy CM much better at the breakfast buffet. :flower:

many of the food choices at CP are pre-made, pre-packaged foods. At CM they are all prepared fresh by either Chef Wendy or Chef Allen. We have two family members who have very severe food allergies and this is what we found out this past week at both eateries.

We found the characters to be more personable and less rushed at CM while Pooh and the gang "bearly" hung around long enough for both children to get autographs and pictures!

Over the past four trips we have eaten at both places about 8 times and now have decided to only eat at CP to get in early to the MK!

I think the atmosphere and character interaction is better at Chef M's, but I think the food selection is better at CP! :cool1:
