We're going in May, & I made an ADR for Chef Mickey's on last/travel day. We've had CM for breakfast before & really liked it.

I've read that CP is really great too, especially if you can get an early ADR before the park opens. We only want to go to one character breakfast, so please help me choose :confused3

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated:worship:

CP is a great breakfast... we did the early reservation... we loved taking our pic on an empty Main Street... food is very good (tons of yummy choices) and the character interaction is also very good.:thumbsup2

The difference between the two (I feel) are ...

Chef Mickey's is loud and feels cramped (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, etc.) with OK food.

Crystal Palace is more mellow - lots of large windows (Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet) with good food.

But it's just personal preferences.

We preferred Crystal Palace. Chef Mickey's was fun, but Crystal Palace was a better all around experience. CP felt a little "fancier" to me...much more relaxed.

Definitely go for CM for breakfast. We rarely eat at Chef Mickey's for dinner. Their breakfast is the best. If you're up for it. If you don't want to start your day with a lot of fun, then go for CP. You'll have fun there, but without the music... :)

I've never eaten breakfast at CP, only dinner but we weren't impressed AT ALL. Food was mediocre (not bad but nothing to write home about), character interaction was minimal and the service wasn't up to par.

I think the biggest thing that bothered us was that it was ds' 2nd birthday (actual bday... not just "celebrating") and they brought out his card and cupcake about 5min after we were seated! Yeah, my 2yo is really interested in his DINNER after blowing out the lit candle on his cupcake!

CP just didn't strike us as the be all and end all I keep reading about on the boards.

On the other hand, we have always had an amazing time at Chef Mickey's... both breakfast and dinner. The food is yummy and the characters have always spent HUGE amounts of time w/ us and the kids. Our last visit we had a cupcake for ds there as well... they asked us if it would be okay to bring it out and when...which is what we then expected later in the week at CP and it never happened.

My vote is Chef Mickey's...no question!

Good to know - we're doing an early breakfast in August. But to put my own two cents in - it would be CP hands down. We've done Chef Mickey's for both breakfast and dinner, and only CP for dinner, but CP is better laid out and IMHO the food's better. And to walk out the door to a view of the castle? Priceless!!!
