Which one would you choose for dinner, Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace? We like both Mickey and Pooh but just can't decide which one we would rather go to. Which one would you choose and why? Thank you!

We have done both, and have always enjoyed the food at Crystal Palace better, we only do Chef Mickey, if we are not going to a park that day.

Hi. We did both Chef Mickeys & Crystal Palace (along with CRT, and Donald's Breakfast-a-saurus) on our trip last January. I would definitely recommend Chef Mickeys over Crystal Palace. Chef Mickeys was a lot of fun and the food was good. My girls got to sit on Minne's lap, Chip and Dale walked them to the buffet, Mickey escorted us out. Crystal Palace with Pooh was the pitts! Character interaction was limited to a QUICK picture and handlers moving them on before signing books, awkwardly spaced throughout the restaurant so we hugged piglet twice but never saw Tigger. Also, anytime you would get up to eat, suddenly someone might appear at your table. (They weren't going around to each table in order). Parents all around us were getting wound up and complaining, just a very tense situation. We had seen Pooh and pals all over Disney World by that time so we just ate and saw who we saw. I will say though that the food at Crystal Palace was very very good. They had an incredible mussles in curry with jasmine rice. My girls (1 and 2) loved the food too and found plenty to eat. Maybe we were there on a very unorganized night because I've read lots of great CP reviews here.

Good luck.

It would depend 100% on where we were and what we were doing right before dinner. Yes, I know they are close, relatively speaking. But, if I were in MK already I would go to CP -- both restaurants have their relative merits and strengths, but we've found we've wasted too much vacation time running around to ADRs for the sake of eating at a very particular place when ultimately what makes the experience (and the vacation) MOST enjoyable is minimizing the amount of running to make ADRs and taking advantage of what's close by.

Hands down favorite is the Crystal Palace!! :thumbsup2 The food & service is excellent!!! :woohoo:

Tried Chef Mickey's once for dinner and won't go back. :sad2: Worst food and service I've ever had at WDW. :furious:

I thought character interaction was better at Chef Mickey's, the food was slightly better at Crystal Palace, except for desserts where Chef Mickey's wins. They're both fun, though.

I prefer Chef Mickey's. The atmosphere has got to be the most festive I have ever seen. It's noisy and lively...but alot of fun.

I also prefer the characters at CM'S than those at CP.

As far as characters and their interaction goes, I would say Chef Mickey's. They always have spent more time with us there, plus there are more of them (in the AM, 5 walk around, and Goofy is out in the lobby). I've only eaten breakfast there, as the other menus didn't appeal to me quite as much. I did have lunch at CP in May, and the food was wonderful! The characters didn't come around as often, and it seemed much busier than CM.
