Is the food at Chef Mickey's decent? It will be the last night of our trip and we are taking my mom with us. By the end of the week, she might be overdosed on character buffets (which I have scheduled because it is easier with the kids). We'll be going in January so I believe Concourse will still be open then. I know the atmosphere at CM is crazy, but if the food is at least decent, then I won't feel so bad so that isn't really the issue. Thank you.

It's typical buffet, I'm sure Concourse food is better. Chef Mickey's is more for the character atmosphere, and they have a sundae bar the kids love!

We love it at the Concourse Steak House, will be sorry to see it go.

We didn't like the food at CM but it has been many years. We were trying to decide on those same two for our first night and opted for Concourse. I am not sure I was ready for quite that much excitement after all that driving, the food is probably better at Concourse and since it is closing next year this will be our only chance to give it a try.

The food is not good at Chef M's at all. We used to keep going in spite of the food but on our last visit it was just so chaotic and there were so few foods even reasonably decent we agreed not to go back. We do eat other buffets and character meals happily. Besides the food issues CM is incredibly loud and there were many kids behaving really poorly (chasing characters around, throwing food, yelling, etc) that really bothered my kids who waited patiently for their turn for the characters to come to our table. We are doing Concourse instead on our next visit.

We were in Disney last week and enjoyed both Chef Mickey's and the Concourse Steakhouse but for different reasons. Yes, Chef Mickey's is loud but the kids love it. The food was edible and there was a big selection. Some things were better than others so the decision was each individuals. All 7 of us ate well and the desserts including the ice cream were really good. We ate at Concourse the last night of our trip and except for a warm (not hot) baked potato the meal was outstanding. We all had the filet with different potatoes, some had french onion soup and we all had dessert - creme brulee, carrott cake, ice cream sundaes, etc. Enjoyed both restaurants but think your Mom would prefer Concourse and by the end of the trip we needed a quiet relaxing dinner and I think you will too. Our kids loved the steak at Concourse.
